History

Established in 1971.

Wayne Luther Thompson purchased Wayman Jacobs Insurance on June 1^st, 1971. On January 1^st, Wayne’s favorite son Anson Ross Thompson began purchasing the agency from his father. Since Anson had no money they used a contract method which means that Anson will be paying Wayne Forever. But alas the business has grown and that increase in business has allowed Anson to pay Wayne and keep him out of the office. Wayne now spends his time relaxing with Anson’s mother Linda and messing with clocks. The official name for a person that messes with clocks is a «horologist».

Anson Ross Thompson is the CEO of the Thompson Group located in Beautiful Parker City, Indiana.

His main role at The Thompson Group is that of commercial producer.

He began buying the company from his father in 1996 and has led the company on a path of slow, but consistent growth over the past 13 years.

The Thompson Group’s known for their creative marketing, excellent customer service, and mission statement which is Find the Pain, Heal the Pain, Show the Love.

Anson is a frequent contributor to many insurance trades, has been mentioned in the Wall Street Journal, and travels the country sharing his stories about his companies unique sales strategies.
