The Home Depot

3−27−15, 10:30 a.m.- 11:10. Waiting in door department for help. I’ve asked two people for help. Both said they would call someone. No one’s come to help. I just want to special order a door. Zero stars. Customer service sucks at this home depot. I don’t understand this management’s lack of customer service. Don’t they want to sell product?

Great staff, always enjoyed shopping here, but the manager is a piece of work, refused to honor home depot’s best price guarantee, could care less about corporate policy and long term customer relationships. FYI — called Home Depot customer service who connected me with the Home
people who easily did as they should, applying the price match guarantee and getting my order placed. Will stay away from this Home Depot until such time as the manager is gone.

Manager Darren Waite provided the best service I’ve ever received at any home depot. He took an absolute mess with a GE W/​D I purchased and fixed everything. Thank you Darren!

Stopped in for a few home needs. The workers were extremely helpful and attentive. The location was clean and as organized as can be.

In a swanky mountain resort town like Park City, it’s awesome that there’s a Home Depot here instead of some overpriced no-​name hardware store. This location is neat, organized and very clean with helpful employees. A great place to pick up paint and other basic household and hardware needs. I don’t shop here often but when I need something for a fixer-​upper project at my condo, this fits the bill. Nice selection of mountain inspired fixtures too (think oil rubbed bronze lights, moose drawer pulls, etc.).

We recently purchased a home in Park City and needed to do some kitchen work. Since we weren’t familiar with any service people at the time, we went with Home Depot as we had experience with other Home Depot stores from previous home projects. Initially, we found the Home Depot associate easy to work with and were looking forward to a straightforward kitchen project. However, as our kitchen project started, we discovered that this associate was not really familiar with their products or services despite our questions when we placed the order. Some of the key issues were charging our credit card incorrectly, placing a part of the order wrong, and not informing us correctly of what was included/​not included with our material choice. When we asked follow up questions regarding some of these issues, the associate gave us incorrect pricing and misinformation. As a result, it was on us to correct their mistakes and get the accurate information we should have received in the beginning — which was a painful process and involved numerous phone calls. Home Depot’s associate’s lack of understanding and mistakes caused us a lot of angst, extra work and money. Home Depot eventually accepted some responsibility but again it was on us — the customer — to fight for it. The silver lining was that the installers were great and listened to what we were looking for and were able to catch Home Depot’s mistakes. We ultimately liked the finished product, but this was because of the material and installer (hence the two stars) and not Home Depot. We will consider using the installer again — independently of Home Depot — as they weren’t the source of the mistakes, our frustration or angst.

I guess I’ll be the first to rate them here. Since we’ve bought a home down the street, this is our go-​to, if anything main store to shop at at least 5 times a week. We’ve gone there for paint, couches, material, garden equipm and realized you can go broke after a month of «home improvement».
Their employees are very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful and I’ve gotten to know a few of them by name (especially the paint employees and cashiers). They’ll tell you deals that are coming up and love seeing our dog everytime I bring her around. I would recommend them (even though I’m more for mom and pop shops than corporate giants). Oh and grab a coupon online if you can — every penny counts!
