Max Snowboards

This is THE place for renting boards and getting experienced advice from longtime boarders, not «shop hacks». I worked with Andy (owner) and Nik, I wanted to demo Never Summer 2016 boards for my specific riding, awesome help, we adjusted foot angles, swapped boards, really worked on figuring my new purchase. I don’t give reviews often, but Andy runs his business «old school», if you need more than a chop shop rental joint, hit up this place for sure. I’m from FL, I don’t know these guys, honest review.

The service at this shop is truly exceptional. They know what they are doing and how to exactly fit your needs. I met Andy on Friday and he guided me on the gear I would need to get out Saturday morning. I came in at 8 am, Nick helped me through getting Burton Covert snowboard pants and these killer Gorilla goggles that change lenses in about 15 seconds. Nick also set me up on rentals with a demo Lib-​Tech T. Rice board and the right boots and helmet, as well as the right bottom base layer. I was on the mountain just after 9 am and into lessons. I had such a great ride that I bought the same board, same size. Excellent experience. But the topper happened four weeks later when coming back to Park City. We couldn’t find the Burton Ruler Wide size 13 boots that my son needed, I mean anywhere in the country including Burton themselves. I called back out to Max Snowboards and Lauren put me in touch with other shops she knew that might have the boots. We found them in SLC and picked them up on our way up from the airport today en route to Park City. She went way out of her way and essentially pointed me to a competitor to get what we needed. Then we brought those boots to Max Snowboards this afternoon and they heat fitted them to my sons feet, and wouldn’t charge me for that service (on boots they didn’t even sell us). We will never buy gear from anyone else but Max Snowboards when we are in Park City. We picked up some awesome Burton ak snowboard pants for my son while there. My brother’s family is flying in for this trip as well and I have them getting all their ski rentals and any gear from Breeze, which is the sister ski shop attached to Max Snowboards. These guys are awesome. Their gear selection is excellent and prices are competitive. There are like five or six snowboard shops in the Mountain Village. Don’t mess around, go right to Max Snowboards.

I broke a Burton Prophecy toecap binding strap on the hill and stumbled into Max Snowboards looking for help. As soon as my daughter and I walked in, we were pleasantly greeted and given reassurance that it could be fixed. Wish I could remember his name but he immediately removed my binding, making sure to not change the angle settings, replaced the strap and had me check the fit. All done within 5 minutes. I was stoked to get in and out and back on the hill in no time at all.
When I asked how much I owed him, he said «It’s on the house today. Merry Christmas» How cool is that! They had a matching fund raiser for animals going on so I contributed to that.
The shop is full of great gear and obviously a great staff that provides killer customer service. I’ll be sure to check out Max Snowboards the next time I’m in Park City.

Awesome awesome dudes! Really helpful and considerate. Very knowledgeable and friendly. All around great experience. Bought a full board set there, bindings, boots and new board. Got me fitted for my specific needs: prices are fair. Andy, Fuca and Silva were great! One of the best shops I’ve ever shopped at. Andy had my demo board ready to go when I walked in and Fuca and Silva got my purchase set up and ready to go for the next day. I’ll be back again!

Bought boots, bindings, a helmet and outerwear from Andy. Recommended what was right for me vs. selling me stuff I didn’t need. Great guy, awesome shop. Long live 40+ snowboarding dads!
