Luna Lobos Dog Sledding

Hands down some of the most fun my wife and I have had while visiting Park City! Greg, our guide, was incredibly helpful and made the trip so much fun. The dogs were great, and the entire experience was just fantastic. We will definitely be doing this again when we are in the area.

My husband and I took our 5 yr old and 20 month old on (2) 30 min tours. 30 min is the perfect amount of time for little ones. Fernando was absolutely amazing and provided an awesome experience. The scenery was gorgeous and it was fun to get out of the city area and have another type of Park City experience. There is not a restroom out there so come prepared that the closest modern facility is about 15 min away at a cute diner. It takes every bit of 40 – 50 min to get out there but definitely worth it. I highly recommend Luna Lobos.

Luna Lobos provided the most amazing experience to my wife and I! We went on a couples tour this weekend. Fernando and his amazing dogs exceeded our expectations! Just finished our 2 hour dog sled tour. It was an incredible experience. Great staff and the dogs are so friendly. Would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for something fun and a little different just outside of Park City.

Luna Lobos is a must do while in Park City. We had such a great time. Fernando and staff were great and the dogs are adorable and very friendly! They offer a very unique and fun experience.

My wife, three kids and I took an hour long ride yesterday with Luna. It was great. The details: it was an easy one hour drive from SLC, we booked two sleds and the staff was great. Be warned– no modern facilities.
I highly recommend Luna!

This was such a fun experience! Fernando, the owner, was awesome; he gave us history about the spot told us about the dogs and just went above and beyond what we expected! The dogs were so cute and so friendly and they absolutely love what they do, and they do it well. I would absolutely recommend Luna Lobos Dog Sledding to couples wanting to get away or families wanting to try something different. You’re going to love this!

Had a great time, kids (11 & 13) loved it. The dogs were impressive — ansy at first but once they were pulling the sled they were in their element. Fernando is kind, informative and he is going to try qualifying for the Iditarod this year! Not sure about that one star review — I talked to Dana and scheduled and re-​scheduled our tour a few times. She made the effort to work with us and our crazy schedule and equally crazy weather.

Fernando and his awesome dogs were a blast. We went with our 2 kids, 13 and 11, and we enjoyed it very much. We went on a beautiful remote trail with great views at 9,000 feet. Fernando is very nice, relaxed, and knowledgable — happy to answer questions or just lay back and enjoy the ride. Definitely go!

My family went out with Fernando and team. We had a great experience and enjoyed every minute of it. I especially like that it’s a family run local business!

I wish I could write a million reviews for Luna Lobos Dog Sledding, each time giving it a whopping 5 stars because I simply cannot say enough about how amazing this experience was!
I mean, whisking rapidly through fresh powder whilst pulled by a team of quirky canines via sled, how could it POSSIBLY be even remotely bad? You’re right, it can’t be. It was perfect!
There were a lot of companies to choose from as we were researching dog sledding during our trip to Park City but we really hit the jackpot with Luna Lobos. If it wasn’t the actual sledding experience that hit the spot, it was Fernando and his wife Dana that made it go above and beyond. They are seriously the sweetest most down to earth people. They make you immediately feel like you’ve been friends for a long while, it’s just a bonus for you that these friends happen to have a dozen amazing dogs that can race you around the wilderness!
Dana was able to pick us up from our condo in Park City since we did not have a car and took us all the way to the trail where we would be sledding. Thank goodness she was willing to pick us up or else we would have gotten quite lost going that deep into the mountains and through that snow storm (Us Californians you know, we can’ even handle a little drizzle). We were greeted by Fernando and of course the most adorable group of pups ever. We got to meet and greet each one of them while they got the sled ready. We learned so much about each dog’s unique personality and their roles on the team. Some were happy accidents in the pack, others were adopted from shelters. Two of the dogs are actually 10 years old and have ran a couple of Iditarods, but don’t worry they still run like hell! You could really tell they loved each and every one of them. What was really a treat was to see just how ridiculously excited the dogs were to get going. They kept barking and jumping in excitement, I thought we were going to take off in the sleigh without Fernando!
We had the hour tour which went by so fast because it was so fun. Even though it was a very windy snowy day, you are quite snug in the sled. I recommend bringing glasses/​goggles just so you can keep your eyes on the whole experience.
Just do it, seriously. You won’t regret it!

Our family had an awesome experience with Luna Lobos Dog Sledding! Fernando and his wife truly love what they do and gave us a very special once-​in-​a-​lifetime experience. It was the highlight of our trip and I’d recommend it to anyone!
