Drafts Sports Bar & Grill

Consider it a possible fluke but after reading a lot of poor reviews on Drafts on Unilocal,but I am a bit surprised to say we had a pretty good experience at Drafts. After a long day on the slopes and very empty bellies, we headed to Drafts on a Saturday night. The place was packed with buzzed post-​mountain skiers and snowboarders.
There was a 20 minute wait for a table but we were seated quicker than that. The bar area gets quite packed but you can thank Utah’s quirky alcohol regulations for that. There is literally a «corral» surrounding the bar area. While it was quite cold out, the patio area is fully enclosed in glass. Our table out on the patio was quite comfortable and warm. Service at the bar was forgettable but our server at our table was friendly and efficient.
This place has a great selection of local beers on tap which was a great way to taste a few new beers. I loved the Noble Hefeweizen and the Wasatch Jalapeño Cream Ale. On the food front, we ordered the soft pretzel appetizer and I ordered the Ghost Pepper Burger for myself. The pretzel appetizer was pretty good but I loved my burger! The ghost pepper sauce had a great kick and everything was piled on a big soft pretzel bun.
While Drafts is your typical ski resort sports bar, it left a good impression in my book. I’d recommend giving them a try if you’re staying in the Canyons.

Stopped by here on our first day at Canyons Village for a late lunch. The service was AWFUL. First, they «forgot» for 20mins to tell us that the appetizers we ordered was sold out. Second, they «forgot» for 10mins to tell us one of the drinks we order was sold out. Third, they brought 2 of our 4 plates then waited about 20mins to bring the other 2 plates. The restaurant was not busy nor did the manager field compelled to correct the multiple errors of the staff.
Food was okay, service was awful and the cost was outrageous.
Drafts needs to be restaffed, given it’s great location and high potential.

Wow. Utterly a waste of time and money. Bad food, bad service. Just, don’t. Something redeeming? The beer was good.

We always eat at Drafts when we stay at the Westgate and finish skiing. The view of the mountain and ski scene is awesome. They have great burgers, wraps, tacos and fries! The service is great and we always enjoy our meal here. Breakfast is also very good here too! Highly recommend it.

Good bar food and convenient location. The Parmesan wedge fries are very good and service was better than expected.

Worst customer service I have experienced. Not just our waitress, talked to two managers too. Marginal food quality. Ungodly slow service. I am local, thought I’d give them one more chance. 3^rd strike, I am out. Get it together if you want repeat business.

I guess I lucked out after reading other reviews. They were packed but seated us on the heated outside patio. It took 10 minutes for our order (turkey bacon ranch wrap and beer) to arrive… on a very busy Saturday night. Fries were perfect. The wrap, soft and delicious. The hostess and waitress were prompt but quite impersonal… no jovial vibe… they don’t seem to enjoy their jobs. But kudos to the kitchen!

Convenient location to ski lifts so that’s where the one star comes from.
Service: pretty bad. Our waiter had a language barrier and seemed to be completely disconnected. He was slow to bring us water and pay any attention to us. I finally asked him if he was stoned because his attention spans was that of a pot-​head.
Food: I ordered the meat chili, expressing that I need an pretty big amount of protein daily due to my diet. Although beans in chili have protein, I specifically asked for the MEAT BUFFALO chili because I LIKE MEAT! The buffalo chili had tiny itty bitty pieces of buffalo in it. The size and amount of the crumbs that fall off a meat taco, that’s pretty much it. The amount of salt made me incredibly thirsty and I wouldn’t have mind it but our «stoned» waiter was too busy chatting it up with his female co-​worker and couldn’t have been bothered for refills.
SAVE YOUR MONEY, SALT INTAKE AND TIME AND GO SOMEPLACE ELSE!

They had these mac ‘n cheese stuffed jalepeno poppers that were outrageously good! great wings! good beer selection and the game is usually on if you’re a sports fan. awesome spot to chill after a day on the slopes. Our server was Heather — she’s awesome!

Tachos were so good! Great place to watch a game-​lots of big screens. Service was slow! The veggie chili was okay-​mostly just bean soup. Lots of beer options. The jalapeño beer is terrible. Bloody Mary was delicious-​the right amount of spice.

Wings are awesome! Garlic Burger is great! Meatballs soup is yummy!!! Our server, from the Philippines was very attentive and she took care of us!

Second time here this week only to watch college football. Lots of TVs.
Service horrible. So slow I had to find our server every time I needed a drink. Two times picked my drinks up from the bar Serives area. Took 42 minutes to get 6 wings and fries. Place was empty too. I counted 6 tables open but still a wait list but they do not take reso.
Best part was they were out of limes, sliders, meatball subs and wings (after my order).
This is my first Unilocal review in 2015 but this place was so bad I had to write one.
Service was horrible but food was decent for what they still had available.

Our table was not clean and the server picked up a menu from the floor and handed it to my kid. Then she had absolutely no clue about the beer selection. I went to the bar and once I finally got someone’s attention they agreed to give me a taste for a charge. The food was lackluster. My son threw up later that night not sure if it was the food or the altitude though. I would avoid this place unless you really have no other options.

We tried to eat there tonight since we had a credit and it was our last night before flying home. It was crowded, and we were told it would be 40 minutes for a table of 3. We asked if we could do takeout instead, and they said okay. The staff seemed very confused about how to process the credit, but finally figured it out. While we were waiting for our takeout, we saw them seat several tables of 3 that did not have reservations within 15 minutes time. We asked why it was a 40 minute wait for us, but others could just walk in without reservations and get a table for 3. Two of the girls just stood there and smirked when we asked. There were also several empty tables that we noticed. The food is good. The service staff leaves much to be desired. There are places in the area with good food AND good service. Skip it. Go elsewhere.

First time in Park City and we came here for lunch. Got some hot wings as an appetizer (these were «okay») and for main course, a pizza and burgers. Burgers were overcooked and absolutely nothing special. The pizza was bleh. Too much cheese, not enough sauce. We could have done SO much better for the price we paid.
They had run out of many of the beers listed on the menu.
But, service was good, and the location is convenient.

Friendly enough bartender… When we could distract him from his lady friend at the end of the bar. The pizza oven was out of service when we were there. So… We had wings (they were basic boring wings, they were fine) and, unfortunately, those «famous» tatertot nachos. Salt lick. Cold on the bottom. Cheese not melted all the way. Ugh. We left essentially a whole platter. No questions asked by the bartender. It was as if he knew the food was terrible.
Bartender thought we were all from out of town and laid a bunch of Utah liquor law BS on us, but two out of the six of us live in Utah so we definitely had some laughs about all that. What a joke.
It wasn’t overpriced from looking at the menu prices had the food been good, but it wasn’t nearly worth what we paid.
We stayed at the Canyons for several nights but never went back, nor will we. Bad food, strange service. Perhaps lying to out of towners is a bad idea at a resort restaurant as well?!

Good food but really really slow service! Not a place to go for a quick bite between runs.

Located in the Canyon’s resort we opted for Drafts because of the lure of chicken wings. The restaurant is overall very small but the outdoor patio does expand the seating quite a bit. There is glass paneling that can close when it rains and boy did it rain this day. It started out sunny but as the rains came rolling in the glass walls were closed with ease. Nice!
Overall the service was very slow! We had a part of 10 but we didn’t really order that much. 4 children’s meals, 2 hamburgers and 24 wings. Really not that large an order.
Overall the dry rub wings were amazing! My favorite was the garlic rub. The wings were fried crisp and wings were decent sized with a good amount of meat on the bones. This flavor definitely went the quickest.
My burger was «okay» slightly dry but a large sandwich with plenty of toppings.
Next time we’ll only dine for beer and wings.

This was just NOT a good experience. Mom and I were feeling a little beaten down after a long day, and we wanted a simple, light dinner. We found The Farm on Unilocal,and after poor directions and a lot of wandering, discovered it was closed. Then we went to the mexican joint upstairs, closed. We finally decided to go to the steak place next to Drafts — closed. Drafts was our absolute last choice as it was. Then we started our experience.
We walked in and the guy at the host station was putting in an order. Not only did he not greet us, but he didn’t even raise an eyebrow at our entry. We stood there almost 5 minutes until the manager (it seemed) came and sat us two feet away, next to the door. We asked for a table not in the middle of everything, but nothing was wiped off.
There was a party behind us (quiet enough and well behaved for a sports bar), but the large group outside on the patio was loud and took up all of the server’s time. There was a kid who would stand at the window and just pound and lick the glass and not a single adult out there cared to reign him in. After almost 10 minutes without a water, we waved down the manager. He explained that our server was going crazy with the big party outside, and he’d get us some waters. We told him we were ready to order and he took it all thank goodness.
We ordered a root beer, a quattro formaggio pizza with added artichokes and a side salad. The RB and salad came quickly enough (run by the manager again). The tomatoes on the salad were old and mealy, but the rest was fine. Halfway through our salad a family of 6 came in and were seated right by us. They ordered two pizzas and some drinks. Our server (the really «busy» one) went right over there and bevved them and took their order. We were a little peeved — not as much so as when their pizzas BOTH came out before ours, and not NEARLY as peeved as we were to discover our pizza was barely warm. The cheese had already started to harden again and the crust was cold and chewy. We would complained, had we ever been checked back on. We finished what we could of the pizza, and finally had to get up and poach a server for our check.
It was gross pizza, gross service and gross atmosphere. The only reason two stars is because this manager did step up and «try» to make sure we were taken care of, which I did appreciate.

I sat at the bar and had a great experience.
The bartender recommended the wings and chili and both were delicious. Decent draft beer selection. Only con was the size of the Bloody Mary for the price tag.
