I was passing through town on a long drive and was hungry so I really wanted to like this place. My server was very nice but the meal was average. The gumbo wasn’t bad but, honestly, after the dinner I consoled myself with an ice cream cone from Braun’s down the road.

I eat here occasionally. I usually order the Shrimp Po’Boy. It’s a great sandwich. Nice and crispy. On my last visit, I had the shrimp boil. For North Texas, the shrimp were surprisingly fresh. The portion was huge. Usually the wait staff is top notch, but on our last visit our server was in a funk.

We happened upon this little Cajun restaurant and bar in Paris, Texas thanks to Unilocal. My husband had crawfish Etoufee, I had shrimp and grits with Monica sauce. We shared bourbon bread pudding. It was all to die for! Great service! I highly recommend!

My husband ate here once and hated it. I thought I’d give it a try myself. Food was either under seasoned or over seasoned. My shrimp was not edible, no amount of salt, pepper, or tabasco made them any better. The waiter was great, food was just awful.

Have eaten there twice and have really enjoyed both meals. The first time I had the Shrimp and grits, and it was great, had the bread pudding for dessert, it was a little dry but the flavor was real good. Second time I had the ribeye. The first one came out extremely overcooked. I ordered it rare and when it came out there wasn’t even a hint of pink left in it(somewhere between MW and WD). But the waitress was very quick to take care of the problem and brought me a perfectly cooked rare ribeye that was amazing.

I went to this Restaurant with friends on a Saturday evening and was totally blown away! The food was outstanding and authentic. The place is well managed and it showed throughout the staff and food and had a family freindly environment. We started the meal with some of the best fried pickles on the planet! If you go, you definitely need to try the Boudin Balls! You will not regret it! The Jambalaya was absolutely amazing, loaded with all the fixin’s and the burgers were good too! There was an absolutely fantastic live band on the patio that kept things moving along! Service was friendly and very attentive! It is located right on Loop 286 and Hwy 82 on the west side town and had plenty of parking. I will absolutely go back and I would recommend it to anyone!!!

I tried this place for lunch to check it out. Having lived and learned to cook Cajun in Louisiana, the bar is pretty high for me. I had the crawfish pie and a bowl of gumbo. The pies(as they are small and you get several), were OK, not much crawfish in there and plenty spicy. Same with the gumbo, a little on the greasy side, but good flavor as gumbo goes. Overall, I would say that if you want a taste of Cajun in northern TX, Cajun Moon should fit the bill.

Tried it a few times, boudain balls are really good just kinda stingy with the sauce. Raw oysters are always on spot, very fresh. Gumbo is ok… needs a little work

We were passing through Paris and this place looked fun. My husband spent many years in the hospitality industry, from server to owner. He’s always critical of service and food quality. We have never felt it necessary to comment on Unilocal but this place blew us away! Jenny, our server, was quite possibly the cutest thing ever! Not only was her service amazing, she knew the menu, made great suggestions and had the best attitude EVER! We will absolutely stop there again when passing through town.

Was ok. Should be a better moneymaker for the owners than the now closed West End Diner next door. Much more upscale and its attracting family groups. I had crawfish meat pies that were very good — flaky crust and flavorful filling. Service was good. The waitstaff was young people learning the trade. Nice place.

Good food. Try the boudin balls. The sauce is wonderful. Loved the fried clams. Shrimp with grits was a hit. Limited wine list thoug. Jambalaya was delicious mut not traditional. The only white wine was a chardonnay which is not what I want with my seafood. Big selection of beer. Skip the margaritas. They are made with wine!

.I recommend this place to all that love the real Cajun food taste. I had the fried catfish and a 1lb of crawfish and let me tell you I travel for my job and I’ve been all over the country and I feel it was the best I had. My buddies had the Jambalaya, fried oysters with fried okra and the grilled rainbow trout and gumbo and they seemed very happy. Oh yeah good Texas beer as well.
