Route 17 Auto Body And Collision

Rt 17 auto body did body work on my Ford after I got t-​boned from a lady running a stop sign. I had to rent a car and the shop has a rental company right there in the office which was very convenient. They were all very professional. The woman and gentleman in the office were very courteous & efficient I would definitely use this shop again.

I was so stressed after losing control in my car on black ice and I brought my car to route 17 autobody and I’m so thankful I did. The really wonderful man Branddon made my expirence. From the moment I pulled in he was so helpful, informative, and courteous. He answered all my questions and concerns without hesitation. Branddon took my car in fixed it up and gave it back to me brand new. Not only was it stress free working with Branddon it was quick and professional. They were able to get me in a loaner car the same day. I would highly recommend the shop.

Excellent work! I am very picky about work done to my car. I have a newer M3 in a rare blue, and the work done was amazing. Very professional. The staff was great very warm and walk thru the whole process to me. Told me exactly how long it would take and what they where doing. I would highly recommend.

I brought my 05 Audi A6 3.2 here for some work after an elderly gent made an illegal turn and hit me. The staff was courteous and receptive while helping me through the process of bringing my car back to original condition. The work was done well and efficiently, I am happy to have her back!

I paid almost a thousand dollars after my front bumper was hit and they never fixed the bumper. I mean 10 min with an industrial dryer would take out the dent. They proceeded to use some filler that never adhered to the bumper and painted over. My front bumper was later bumped by a shopping cart from 5 feet away and all the cheap filler that did not stick to my never fixed bumper came off. After i called … I shit you not at least a dozen times the owner that’s never to be found finally got on the phone and gave me some bullshit about we have to call your insurance company they need to look at it. Well if his shop took out the dent and didn’t use amounted to «cream cheese» to fill in the dent it wouldn’t of happened. I understand a shopping cart did bump my truck but for all I paid for I would of thought they would of fixed the problem. Now I will NOT BE BRINGING MY TRUCK BACK TO THEM EVER!!! THEY HAVE A SHOP IN PROSPECT PARK NJ AS WELL. I STRONGLY RECOMMEND THAT YOU CONSIDER BRINGING YOUR VEHICLE TO A HONEST SHOP THAT WILL FIX YOUR CAR RIGHT.

Branddon Levando assured me that all will be handled from the car rental (on site thru Enterprise) and my insurance. He was courteous, friendly and professional.

First off I was sent here by my insurance because it offers geico express. .As soon as I arrived first thing the insurance adjuster told me was that my car was totaled when in reality it was minor damage must I say I got rear ended and wasn’t at fault. From the get go I realized this guy was an amateur geico hired that doesnt know anything about cars. Anyway it turns out that this guy didnt hustled for a lower price not too mention the service at Route 17 collision is way over priced and from what I hear theyre not even that good. Anyway if you love your car and want to save money DO NOT go to route 17 auto collision by the way I took the money and went else where they did a great job plus I had some extra money left to myself.

In all my 31 years of life I have never been compelled to either comment positively or negatively for any service I have received no matter how good or terrible. And yes I have had had amazing service and horrible service. After receiving service or the lack of from Route 17 Auto body it provided me more than enough reason to tell others of my experience. If not to at least warn others of what Route 17 auto body will say but not do to your car and they will still take your money. In particular the reason I chose this place was because I read a few positive comments here on Unilocal. I don’t want you or anyone else to have the same experience as I did. My advice is DO NOT GO TO ROUTE 17 AUTO BODY FOR ANY REASON!!! GO ANYWERE ELSE!!! I called Route 17 Auto body on June 17^th to get an estimate. I got car worked on and returned on July 22^nd, They had my car in shop for more than a month! The estimate for my car was $ 2,400. It was a verbal estimate for 6 issues. 2 major and the other 4 that was relatively minor. Not only did they only fix two of the problems but they broke my windshield wipers that I now need to get repaid at a different shop. The manager Tom would not admit that the windshield wipers were even touched by them while the shop manager is standing in front of me saying that they worked on the wipers. I want to say that the front desk woman as well as several people that worked there were empathetic and polite to my concerns and helpful when trying to get someone on the phone, I called after the 2^nd promised date often to check on the car but was told many times that whomever is working on the issue is out of office and will return my call when they get in. I got my call returned twice, two times out of many calls. I was told many times that they would call me back, I wouldn’t hear from them until a few days later when I called them. The main problem was the strait out lying and complete unawareness that everyone had about the car. I was told my car would be completed in one week and if more serious problems under the hood that I couldn’t see it may take up to but no more than 2 weeks July 4^th. The car was returned to me incomplete and with non-​moving windshield wipers that they damaged on July 22^nd. I would not have minded that the car took so long if they were just honest. I was told time and time again that my car was being finished and painted. I was told this for 4 weeks that it was being finished and will be ready by tomorrow or in a few days. I was told that my car would be completed from everyone including the owner that it would be done by tomorrow, end of week, Friday… I was told that if it’s not completed by a certain day I would get a paid for rent a car. Needless to say that I never got a rent a car and all of my car concerns were never completed. Yes they fixed the broken light including any frame problems, painted the areas around the light to match the car, and fixed the battery. But in fixing two problems they left 4 others untouched and they broke the windshield wipers that now need to be repaired. I also paid $ 2,300. That’s only $ 100 less than my verbal quote. Don’t let this business fool you! They are polite but they lie or pretend that they don’t know what’s going on with your car and they will place the blame on you. I repeat DO NOT GO TO ROUTE 17 AUTO BODY FOR ANY REASON!!! GO ANYWERE ELSE!!!
I hope this email helps others. I do not want you to have to suffer and take taxis, buses, or walk to work and or anywhere else while they hold your car hostage as they ignore it and lie to you that it will be completed when it will not.

WILL NOT TAKE MY CAR HERE AGAIN. I had a rear-​end not at fault collision about a year ago. I took my car to Route 17 Auto Body for a repair through my insurance and the car was ready within 1– 2 days. Everything was great, until my car was recently hit again while parked. I noticed that this shop did not install the rear bumper absorber. The absorber is a foam like product that protects against the bumper and the chassis of the vehicle. The reason I know this is because the first time it was hit the absorber was there and there was no other claim until now. Not only is it ethically wrong, but there should be some fiduciary relationship between the shop and client; which was not the case. Going through another shop for my repairs.

I had a minor accident recently and while setting up the claim through my insurance this place was identified as one of their closest repair locations to me.
First things First… Getting there: DO NOT use Google maps/​GPS, they don’t point you in the right direction, in fact place it further north on Rout 17 by intersection of Century Road & Rt 17. That is NOT where this is. If you know the area, this is south of the Rt 17 & Rt 4 crossing, even south of GS Plaza Mall. Heading on Rt 17 N past Lodi there is Longhorn Steakhouse on your right, Outback & then BMW dealership, pass Passaic street crossing/​exit, and this is to your right just before the ramp of S Fairview Ave.
I had a good experience with these guys, the car was returned within 3 business days as promised. They had even cleaned/​washed it. The staff was helpful & polite.
