I had a great experience at LASIK Plus. From the first consultation through my post op appt everyone in the office was friendly and knowledgable. Dr Pettinilli is very professional, caring, and experienced. He walked me through the entire procedure as it was happening and made me feel at ease. I now have ²⁰⁄₂₀ vision. The first hour after the surgery was probably the worst but they were honest about what you will experience. It was a burning sensation but I slept it off and woke up a few hours later like normal and could see perfectly. I’m so glad I decided to go through with the surgery at this facility.

I had my Lasik procedure done on ¹⁰⁄₂₃ by Dr. Pettinelli, and I was seeing ²⁰⁄₂₀ the next day during my next day follow-​up. The staff was awesome and very helpful, and I was nervous about the procedure, but Dr. Pettinelli thoroughly explained how the procedure was going to go, and put my mind at ease. A month later I still have night glares but I was told that it would eventually go away. I would highly recommend going to see this staff and this location.

I thought lasik plus was suppose to be the best however let me tell you. I was trying to surprise my bf for his birthday. We live in Brooklyn so I made a Saturday appointment months in advance. They called me one week before the appointment saying they changed their hours and I have to reschedule. After trying to understand what happen i went ahead and booked another appointment for a different Satruday. Now they have decided to call me two weeks before my new appointment and tell me the time slot i have is not really an appointment and have to change it to another time that day. DO NOT GOT TO THIS PLACE. They are very unprofessional. What a joke.

The people here are very professional and kind. The consultation is very long so plan ahead. You do tend to wait for lengthy periods of time hence four stars. Otherwise it is a great place to consider LASIK. The doctor walks you through the entire procedure. The surgeon informs you every step of the way during the procedure. Highly recommended.

I am a teacher so now that it is summer I have a lot of time to research facilities. After 7 consultations all over NJ this place is the best! Their facility is impressive. Their staff is friendly and knowledgable. Everything was done at the facility. I didn’t have to run around to other doctors for pre op test. Oh yeah and did I tell… They were the most affordable too! Highly recommend them.

I was extremely nervous about getting any type of surgery in my eyes done! I made my appointment and met with the technician and Dr. Desai. Everyone was so kind and supportive, and answered any questions I had! I opted to do PRK over LASIK, since I rub my eyes and it seemed to be the better option for me.
The day of the surgery, I was nervous, but ready. I didn’t meet the surgeon, Dr. Petinelli, until the day of the surgery, and this is the norm. Dr. Desai, the technicians, and Dr. Petinelli were all very patient with me and answered any questions I had. I walked into the surgery room (which by the way is a bit cold, or at least it was for me, so make sure your feet are warm!). Dr. Petinelli set me up and in less than 15 minutes, both eyes were done with PRK! The few seconds when they rinse out your eyes, post laser, is incredible!!! It’s a glimpse into your future of perfect vision!
The next few days sucked to be honest. PRK is not for the faint of heart. It hurts, and it’s not easy, but the staff checked in with me often, making sure I was ok! Follow up appointments showed my vision was improving and eventually, I was ²⁰⁄₁₅! I felt wonderful! I do suggest taking a few days off of work if you’re going to do PRK, to let yourself rest and get through the pain. Download some audio books and sleep away the next few days!
It’s been almost a year since I did PRK, and I couldn’t be happier! I still look for my glasses in the middle of the night sometimes, and then I remember that I have perfect vision! All thanks to the amazing team at LASIKPLUS! :)

— i’d been wanting lasik for over 10 years and kept putting it off because of FEAR. i work in the medical field, but i’ll always be an artist first. my vision is key to my existence and it’s terrifying to ever risk my sense of sight, so this was a huge decision for me.
— the selection process. i first started flipping through online coupon options. groupon. lifebooker. in the end i decided that if was going to risk my vision, i would rather go with a surgeon who was reputable and well versed in this surgery instead of some cheaper, less experienced surgeon.
— initial consultation went well. staff is very friendly and helpful. tests were run. questions were answered. i was sent to a retinal specialist for clearance because of my retinal lattice. i like that they cross their T’s and dot their I’s.
— they accommodated me with a saturday appointment for the surgery. very happy.
— day of the surgery. papers signed. make sure the eyedrops you’re supposed to use after the surgery have been called to your pharmacy. procedure explained, aftercare instructions explained. then youre called in to see the surgeon, who explains the process in specifics and answers any last minute questions. prior to the surgery i joked around about chomping on some valium, but ended up going in without it. in retrospect, i wish i did because i was so anxious, but i survived.
— ill spare the details of me nearly shtting myself during the procedure, but the surgery itself went well. again, many thanks to the staff and the surgeon. they are just fantastic.
— tons of numbing drops during the procedure. but once youre done, they will wear off within 30 minutes. you are advised to sleep after the procedure because that’s the only way you’ll be able to tolerate it. and they were so right. i set my alarm to ring every hour for my eye drops. but once those numbing drops wear off, it feels like hot sauce on your eyeballs. this wore off after about 3 hours of napping. i was good the next day, functioning like normal. the next couple days, i was worried about the eye dryness and the possibility of it being permanent. .but it has been one week and that has resided for the most part. my eyes a bit dry when the heat is blasting, and when i first wake up in the morning.
— overall. couldnt be happier with my ²⁰⁄₂₀ results. i was a –8 and was so sick of having dry eyes because of contacts. and my prescription was so bad that wearing glasses was out of the question because theyd either be too thick or shrink my eyeballs through the lenses. no more contacts, no more buying saline, no more freaking out when a lens falls out, leaving me half blind. super happy that i did it, and even happier that i chose dr. P at lasikplus. grazie mille!

I just had the PRK procedure done a week and a half ago (by Dr. Petinelli) and I wouldn’t highly recommend LasikPlus. I went in for a free consultation 2 months ago, but I wasn’t actually planning on having the procedure done for another few years. My consultation was on time, smooth, and performed by one of the technicians. She was very nice and explained everything and took the time to answer my questions. I decided to set a tentative date to have the procedure done, just for fun and to hold a date/​time.
I went in for a follow-​up appointment a month later (I had recently slightly damaged my cornea at work so I needed a few extra appointments to make sure it fully healed) and this time saw the optometrist (not the surgeon) and she was also extremely helpful, patient, and very nice. I was little concerned about how young she was, but she seemed very knowledgeable and again answered all questions I had. I had also done A LOT of my own research and wanted to make sure all answers lined up. She gave me the unfortunate news that I was only a candidate for PRK and not LASIK due to certain conditions, but I decided to stick with it anyway.
Between my second and third appointment (still all free), I decided to check out another LASIK place — I’m a fan of second opinions. They actually said LASIK was fine for me, but they also performed fewer tests and this had me concerned. Additionally, their price was 1,500 more than LasikPlus. I decided that as much as I preferred to have LASIK, it seemed safer to go with the more conservative option. LasikPlus explained the reasons why I was only a candidate for PRK and they made sense, so I stuck with LasikPlus.
The day of my surgery, I was pretty nervous. I planned to have it later in the afternoon so I could just go home and sleep the rest of the day/​night. My appointment ran 2 hours late (my previous appointment also ran late), and as annoying as that is, I completely understand. The optometrist and surgeon both take the time (separately) to talk to you, prep you, answer whatever questions and concerns you may have, and try to make you feel as comfortable as possible. Never once did they rush me like a normal doctor’s office and it was a great feeling. Right before my surgery, I met with the surgeon, Dr. Petinelli. He too was super nice and explained everything that was about to happen. We chatted for a bit and even got a little off-​topic, all to calm my nerves and keep me comfortable. During the surgery, which only lasts a few minutes total, he kept talking to me and letting me know what was happening so my neurotic self wouldn’t freak out.
The evening of the surgery, I felt okay — probably because of the numbing drops they give and the pain killers. The next day I had my follow-​up appointment and I was in excruciating pain. They warn you of the pain, but everyone experiences different levels of pain, and they also don’t want to scare you off. I was in immense pain for 4 days following my surgery (this only happens with PRK, not LASIK). I was almost regretting it, but then things finally started to get better. I still couldn’t drive — keeping my eyes open for too long still hurt — it took a week before I drove anywhere. I had my 5-​day follow-​up to remove the «clear bandages» (contacts) they put in, but unfortunately my eyes were slow to heal and they had to put new contacts in for another 2 days. My eyesight at that point was ²⁰⁄₇₀. I went back in 2 days later and my eye sight was ²⁰⁄₃₀! Unfortunately my right eye was healing faster than the left, so my vision was uneven, which was just annoying.
A week and a half later, my vision still isn’t perfect, and I don’t expect it to be, but it’s getting there. My right eye is almost perfect and my left eye is still a little blurry. I have 2 more appointments — a 1 month and 3 month appointment. But one of the best things about LasikPlus is that they have an emergency line, which is the optometrist’s cell, and she encourages you to call if you have any concerns at all.
LasikPlus’s customer/​patient service is amazing and you can tell they actually care about you. If you’re considering LASIK or PRK, I highly recommend them.

I had the PRK Lasik surgery almost a year ago and it was the best decision I have ever made. Rutvi and her fellow colleagues are the best to work with. They truly know how to make the patient comfortable about the entire process. So to all my fellow friends out there that are contemplating the surgery. .Less talk and More Action! Highly recommended office that will give you the best results!!!

Very disappointed, I scheduled an apt in just yesterday and was so excited for it, the person at the receptionist, Harold? I think that’s his name, barely spoke English and talked so low u can’t hear what he’s saying, it was very hard to hear what he’s putting in my eyes, I didn’t want to be rude and ask him every time he spoke what he was talking about, whatever I let it pass no ones perfect I guess then I was told by the optometrist I needed a test done to check if my eyes were healthy that was gonna take 2 hrs, had to reschedule as I had work soon so I went to the front and Harold ask what day would be best and I said tomorrow, THE DAY AFTER, I was too excited and wanted lasik immediately so fast forward to next day… I live 2 hrs away but didn’t care cuz I heard they were the best and had reccomendations from friends… after the long drive (I bought my little sister with me)… I went to the third floor office and the doors were locked!, A guy opened the door for me and said «OFFICE IS CLOSED TODAY» I was heated, after a long drive and came for nothing, I told him that I had an apt and was very disappointed, he offered to reschedule but I didnt want to come back here, he apologized but it wasn’t his fault, Harold worked there and shouldn’t book appt to patients if the office is closed, sadly my experience here at lasik is ruined, and to top it all off, I drove back home stuck in traffic with rain, a total drive of 5 hrs, wasted gas, wasted time!

I had the PRK Lasik procedure performed by Dr. Petinelli three months ago and am so happy I finally did it. My vision was pretty bad (–8 in both eyes) and now I get to be one of those people who can wake up in the morning and not have to reach for glasses. Every single touchpoint with LasikPlus has been great. Dr. Petinelli, optometrists, and support staff are all fantastic, kind, patient and generous with their time.

I had my Lasik done here Jan 2014 and I couldn’t possibly be any happier with the results. The actual procedure for me was done in under 5 minutes and you are seeing better immediately. My thought afterwards was «really? Thats it?!» So quick and completely painless I do kinda have a HUGE regret though, I should have done this years ago! If your thinking of doing this… just do it! The entire staff there is top notch plus everything you need to know and any concerns are thoroughly gone over. The office is very clean and professional, i highly recommend this facility. Thank you Lasikplus for providing me with such a wonderful experience!!!

I had Lasik surgery performed at LasikPlus in Paramus just a few days ago.
My vision went from –5 in both eyes all the way to ²⁰⁄₁₅! The consultation was pretty quick and painless. Dr. Pettinelli is GREAT. He explained the whole procedure in detail before he performed it. He really is an expert in the field. I’d recommend him to anyone.
The price seemed pretty fair at $ 3600 total (including all taxes, etc). While their pricing isn’t exactly transparent, I did overhear a couple of other people in the office paying their bill. They had paid the same that I did.
The downside to this place is the staff of «technicians.» There are a couple of them that have no personality whatsoever and are actually a bit rude. They also are terrible at keeping your appointment time for the followup visits. I waited an hour in the lobby of the place for my first followup visit the day after the surgery. Despite those drawbacks I would still recommend LasikPlus to anyone considering Lasik. The actual doctors and quality of the care and procedure are really top-​notch.

Went from –8.50 in both eyes to ²⁰⁄₁₅ in both eyes. These people did an absolutely incredible job. Thanks!

I have been wearing glasses since I was in 3^rd grade. Wounded Warrior Project and LasikPlus developed a partnership that has not only changed my life for the better but will continue to change many other wounded veterans lives as well.
Dr. DelGiodice provided provided my pre and postoperative care and examinations. He made me very comfortable with the procedure and how everything would happen. He also went out of his way to ensure I took additional antibiotics as I work in the medical field to ensure there would be no issues.
Dr. Pettinelli performed my procedure with great care and a high level of perfection to ensure all cuts and measurements were spot on. He kept me comfortable during the procedure which is really just slightly uncomfortable for a short while.
My vision is now ²⁰⁄₁₅.
I would not only recommend the LasikPlus chain but this office that took such amazing care of me throughout the whole process. I could not have had a better experience. Thank You.

I wanted to write an update because it’s been over a year and I still think LasikPlus was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. My vision is still better than ²⁰⁄₂₀ and I love being able to travel and not think about packing glasses and contacts and solution and a case and an extra pair… My eyesight is great (I love to challenge people to «Can you read that?» and point to something really far away — I always win) and I really can’t help but be a huge fan of LasikPlus. Another friend of mine had her surgery done by Dr. Petonelli in another LasikPlus location and is also really pleased with the results.
All, I can say at this point is, if you’re considering it, do it. At least go get the exam so you know if you’re a candidate. My only regret is that I didn’t do it sooner.
