History

Established in 2014.

Evelyn Street Day School was founded in 2014 by an educator and mother wishing to create the ideal child care center, one in which she would have wished to enroll her own children had they been younger. The facility is environmentally-friendly or green because of the owner/director’s mission to offer the best possible setting for all children as well as to address today’s childhood health concerns, such as the growing rate of asthma, environmental sensitivities and food allergies.

Meet the Business Owner

Lucy A.

Business Owner

Lucy is the hands-on director and owner of Evelyn Street Day School. A former teacher and administrator, she is passionate about everything related to education and children. Lucy’s goal for the children enrolled at her school is simple: meet children where they are, and provide a lot of support and gentle challenges to get them where they need to go. The mission is to prepare children well for the year ahead and, ultimately, for kindergarten.
