History

Established in 2000.

I started to work as a piano instructor in Seoul, Korea back in 90’s. I moved to San Antonio, TX to work on my Bachelor’s degree. When I moved to Austin, TX in 2000 to attend the graduate school, I began to teach piano and music theory. Since then, I have taught successfully in central Austin and Lake Hills areas. In 2015, I relocated to Paradise Valley, AZ and opened Vango Piano Academy.

Ms. Vango received a Master of Music degree in Music Theory from The University of Texas at Austin and a Bachelor of Music degree in Piano Performance from The University of Texas at San Antonio and graduated Summa cum laude. She has received numerous scholarships including Golden Key.

She is certified in Child Development at Austin Community College and also certified to teach the Mayron Cole Piano Method. She has written the Master’s report Pierrot’s Madness and Schoenberg’s Rationality: A Structural Approach to Pierrot lunaire, «Nacht» and «Der Mondfleck.»

Her repertoire includes piano works by Chopin, Beethoven, J. S. Bach, Mozart, Haydn, Prokofiev, Faure, Liszt, Czerny, Mendelssohn, Rachmaninoff, Debussy and many more. She has studied with many prestigious scholars including Dr. Stefan Kostka, Dr. Edward Pearsall, and Dr. Elisanda Fabregas.
