The people at Alleva Funeral Home are great at what they do. They pay close attention to detail and are helpful every step of the way. Steve and his staff were there when they were needed most. I highly recommend them!

Melissa from Texas must have read my mind. I would only add that at the viewing(which was scheduled to start at 6) they locked the mourners out on the street in the cold until the strike of 6. Then, the heat did not appear to be on inside. I know a guy who works at one of those«you buy here, you pay here» used car lots. The funeral directors must have gotten fired from one of those places for not reaching the used car salesman standards. I would advise going eslewhere

What a disappointing experience with the Service Corporation International subsidiary Dignity Memorial’s(formally Alleva) Paoli facility: During the planning process, the employees of this facility made the deceased’s sister cry, argued with her about money, and argued with the executor of the estate. The facility failed to put the obituary on their website. The funeral director told the cemetery to not prepare the grave for the public, against the explicit wishes of the family, and then attempted to say it was the cemetery’s decision. They were rude when speaking to the guests and family of the deceased. They ran out of prayer cards at the viewing and did not print additional cards despite the family requesting more. They informed the family there would be a $ 900 charge if they stayed one minute over the reserved time. They asked for payment in cash(do you know how expensive a funeral is?!). My own personal run included being asked why I was at the burial event if I wasn’t family and when I asked for the funeral director’s name(it’s Ken), it took me three times of asking before he would tell me, including demanding my name first. A niece of the deceased noted that for an industry requiring compassion, none was displayed during their experience.
