Best hair salon in LA! Peg is pure genius! Color is her gift. She does miracles styling my fine hair. 20 years ago I discovered her talent & have been supremely pleased every time!

Peggy gave me the best haircut I’ve ever had. I used to go to Beverly Hills, but no more. I have very thick wavy hair which is tricky to cut bc it can go frizzy if the hair dresser doesn’t know what they’re doing. Peggy knew exactly what to do, I’m just so happy i found her.

I have been getting my hair cut by Dyanna for years and I love it every time! I always try different things ever couple months as far as growing it out, cutting it short whatever I pick to be honest lol especially if I’m cutting a lot off, she does it a lil shorter the first time and I’ll ask to cut it shorter (or keep it the same lol) she’s really good about listening and actually doing it. She’s cool with whatever, luv it!

I love this place. I have been a client here for the past two years and was sold from my first appointment. My hair was in terrible condition when I first starting seeing Peggy and now is healthier and prettier than ever. I love the fact that she continues to educate herself and her staff, as well as the fact that she teaches. I actually carry a couple of her cards around because I am always getting complimented on the color and/​or cut. I have referred over a couple of people, one of whom didn’t seem to be satisfied with anyone, ever… and they are both hooked. Highly recommend.

Peggy was nice about her efforts, but since this is a salon and the reason why I am there is for her to style my hair, unfortunately I can give her at best one star for her skill level.
Two days before my wedding, I called around for availabilities. The stylist I originally had was not able to finish all seven girls on time, so I called nearby salons. This salon was the only one who was available to take all six bridesmaids and myself, two days later on a Saturday morning. I was happy they were available, but that should have been a red flag – I took their word that they would get the job done. Also the salon was less than two miles from my venue off the cliff in Palos Verdes estates, so there weren’t many options. My six bridesmaids said they could do their own hair, but I wanted to treat them and also wanted all of us to be finished by a certain time. So I thought it would be worth spending the money to have our hair professionally done. Besides, all I was asking the stylists to do was big volume curls, should be hair styling 101 right? BTW I am a former salon owner so I know a thing of two about basic skills stylist should have. Also I’ve travelled around the country with my husband during his years in the NFL and I’ve had my hair styled by some talented folks. These folks here at Salon Nirvana are a joke. Peggy «worked» on my hair, left it looking like I had done it myself with my eyes closed. The ends were frizzy and look completely unfinished. Then not only did she not know how to fix it, she pressured me to figured out what to do with hair saying she had to take her next client. I asked her if she would be ok with this hair for her wedding, no answer. My hair was obviously a mess and she had no clue how to fix it. And she didn’t seem to care, probably because she was already paid — she asked me to pay for my hair and two bridesmaids over the phone as a «deposit» to secure the appt. Which is completely fine if she had done her job right. Since she didn’t do her job right, I felt bamboozled. There was one stylist there that I will praise, her name is Jessie. She stepped in and offered to fix my hair. Even though my hair didn’t turn out as I had envisioned, Jessie did a good job fixing what Peggy attempted. But since extra time was now spent on my hair, the bridesmaids were now running late. So all six girls left the salon, some hair «finished», some still in curlers. What did I pay them for? What a joke! The girls finished and styled their own hair at the venue. This caused our schedule to run late by an hour. Ceremony was supposed to start at 2:30, but it started at 3:30. And since that started late, we didn’t have as much time for pictures before the sun went down. The salons inadequacies sent a ripple effect which we didn’t recover from. Word of advice to Peggy and her team, if you are not able to complete the task correctly and within the allotted time, don’t take the job just for the extra buck, it’s not worth looking like a joke. I wasted a total of $ 475 and precious getting-​ready hours. If I can do it all over again, I’d let my bridesmaids do their own hair as they did anyway. It would have saved me time, money and stress.

I love Peggy at Salon Nirvana. She’s been cutting and highlighting my hair for years and she’s always done an amazing job. She listens to what I want and helps me decide when it’s time for a change. Also, I have blonde hair, and she does an fantastic job on blondes :)

You can’t go wrong with salon nirvana! It is a warm, friendly and relaxed salon where you can get an amazing cut, color and style! Peggy has been doing my hair for 14 years and I wouldn’t go anywhere else!

This is a great salon, a neighborhood gem. Peggy has given me high quality hair cuts and her coloring expertise is excellent. Highly recommend.

Salon Nirvana is the best!!! I’ve been visiting Peggy once a month for over 15 years and she never disappoints. She continues her education to stay top-​notch with design. The color products she uses last a long time and don’t go brassy. I will NOT go anywhere else! Peggy keeps me looking great & feeling confident. I have curly hair and she always has be leaving better than I arrived.

This salon is so fabulous that I come up here from manhattan beach. Owner & stylist Peggy Wright is amazing as a colorist & stylist (a rare combo!) such a great, relaxed fun vibe. No pretense just quality color & cut!

This is a great little hidden gem in beautiful Lunada Bay. Friendly, talented staff. I go to Dyanna and she is fantastic with color and cuts. love the products that she uses… plus she is super sweet. I have tried lots of salons in the south bay and Los Angeles and love this place. Prices are normal… not high… not low. I would say they average $ 150 for cut/​color (depending on what products, extras, etc. you have done.) Peggy also does Keratin straightening… gunna try that next! Good coffee and lots of People magazines… what else could you ask for! Check it out.
