Full-Service Horseback Riding Facility.
History
Established in 1960.
The academy is located on the historic facility of Palos Hills Riding Stables, Inc. that was purchased by the late Chuck Thompson of the New Parkway Ridng Stables in downtown Chicago. Chuck, Christa and Martha have worked as a family in all areas of horses and horsemanship. This family has a history in showing hunter/jumpers, Quarter Horses, Arabians, Morgans, American Saddlebreds, and Hackney Ponies, as well as working with race horses. This is a talented group of horsepersons that have had a long working history of many elements of horses and horseback riding… you will probably not find a more diverse group of horsepersons than what is at this facility. Martha Thompson-Hoyt, who currently manages the facility, has produced world grand champions, and is herself a UPHA Horseperson of the Year and UPHA Hall of Fame Horseperson. But, all the staff at this facility has been personally trained and chosen by Ms. Hoyt, and you will find all staff members to be top notch.
