This website and everything else is OK, customer service picks up fast, but absolutely useless because they only update your reports and score on an ANNUAL basis! see the answer below from them. They do tell you regularly for changes in your report (ie credit monitoring). Other services let you get your score monthly. You can get your annual report from

There are much better options out there. I had Trusted ID for two years, until I found other companies. Trusted ID will cover the costs of your Identity being stolen, but they will NOT help you with the long recovery process. I’ve only found one company that does, and now my money goes to them.
The credit reports are subpar, I highly suggest Credit Check Total for anyone looking for an accurate credit report. Yes, Credit Check Total is a paid subscription, well worth the money. I’m not a sales rep for them, just an avid customer.

I can’t figure out how to give negative stars!
This company is a fraud and a scam! The bulk of their profits come from you forgetting to cancel a trial you probably signed up for unintentionally. When I finally noticed and asked for my money back, the DAY of the charge, they refused and mocked me by repeating their no refund policy ad infinitum. The cherry on top pf this crap sundae is that somehow they didn’t cancel my account and I had call back again this month. I’ll update this review in 3 – 5 days to see of the agent actually managed to cancel this crap, brought to you by the big mafia call Equifax.
This is a b*lls*it excuse for aa civilization we live in.

My bank provides IDEssentials Individual Plan for free as a part of my checking account. I’ve had the account now for 4 years.
Pros:
The agents are pretty friendly and I’ve been able to get thru pretty easily — Especially agent Alicia!
I do get text messages of activity on my credit and I get a snapshot credit report once a year. This is re-​assuring.
Website is pretty easy to use
there is a place on the site to update/​enter/​keep track of all credit cards in a single place
Cons:
Biggest drawback is the limited information with the website and that the agents seem poorly trained. Examples:
almost every «notice» listed is a new account like a credit card the randomly increased my credit card it says «flexible spending card» and «new account» Turns out to be a card I already have but doesn’t disclose the name of the bank until I call in. Then turns out to NOT be a new account but a credit line increase
another example had an «alert» logged in and found a «new account» and «Freddie Mac» well as many will know Freddie Mac is the master partly federal agency that insures mortgages (kinda like the fdic of mortgages). So I called in to see if I’ve had anything bad happen (hadn’t applied for any mortgages but do have one) and the agent has no further information.
Most disturbing part is the friendly agent has NO IDEA what Freddi Mac (or Fanny Mae) is!!! in fact since she had no further details she suggested I call them — REALLY!!! Call Freddi Mac and ask what they did to my credit report?
In the end I give it 3 stars because in my case it’s free. If the agent knew what freddie mac is and if logging into my account gave more details it would to me be a 4 — 5 star but mean time 3 stars.

Worst customer service ever. I e-​mailed four times for help in setting up my spouse on the family plan and never received a response. I called and asked why and said I was thinking about canceling. They didn’t seem to care about not responding and didn’t even apologize. I quickly cancelled and will try another service. If only I visited Unilocal first I could have avoided much frustration. Avoid at all costs.

Horrible — I paid $ 161 /​year for 2 years. for nothing (???) I received TWO credit cards in the mail that I did not request. but zero notification from TrustedID. Why am I paying for this service? THEN when I call to ask and cancel my account they won’t give a refund and I have to go through my credit card service which kicked ass!
Trusted ID — FAIL! But for the record CapitalOne — ROCKS!

I’ve been with them for over a year and no real complaints so far. I signed up because we had ID-​heavy docs stolen from our car in Las Vegas. No problems from that incident and no notifications from TrustedID to date. The real test for TrustedID’s reputable service will be when I cancel just before the end of the current year’s service and no charge shows up on my credit card. I’ll probably cancel the card regardless as I have little trust in these types of online businesses actually canceling.

I just signed up this past weekend. I had the same issue as another. When adding my wife to get her setup for the identity threat score and analysis, it told me she had been sent an invitation. The invitation never arrived, so we tried another email address. It finally arrived, but gave no way for her to enter a password. Having to wait until the next day, the support specialist, told me her account «didn’t take». She ‘fixed’ it. Then we can logon but had a message the account was being worked on and to check back in 2 – 3 hours. 48 hours later, the same message. Of course, phone support is only offered during the day hours and I have not received any acknowledgment of the messages I have sent. I have no idea is anyone is really doing anything. I wonder if I can really get my money back if I cancel after 1 week.

First let me say that the one star is because 5 years ago we had a series of credit fraud incidents and we purchased the family plan with credit freeze and fraud alert. Immediately all activity ceased. That’s where the good service ended. 5 years of paying over $ 200/​year we just assumed that we still didn’t have any problems so we continued to pay.
This brings me to current time. This was the first time we needed to lift our credit freeze for a major purchase. The policy states «a CreditLock Specialist will be able to quickly unlock your credit reports upon your request.» Wanting to make our purchase over the weekend, we called the CreditLock Specialist on Thursday morning and were told it would be done within 24 hours. No problem we’re shopping on Saturday. Well when I called Saturday morning to confirm that the lock was lifted and was told that it was not. Needless to say I was not pleased and when I asked why not 48 hours later I was told that «she was probably too busy». And that’s my problem HOW??? But she would put in an urgent request to have it done first thing on Monday.
We did our shopping over the weekend and filled out the paperwork but still could not process the loan because we were still under credit freeze. I called Monday morning to confirm the freeze was lifted. NOT! And I was told «your order to lift the freeze was just placed yesterday and it takes 24 – 48 hours». After some research I found out that you can go on Experian’s website yourself and freeze and unfreeze your own credit for $ 10. It took me less than a minute and a half. DONE! And we were on our way to pick up our purchase. While we were in the place signing the final documents we received a call from Trusted ID to tell us our freeze was lifted.
I will call them today to cancel our service and tell them they should be happy that we aren’t charging them for the $ 10 I paid to Experian. So just FYI for those who read this review. Unless you need the fraud alert, you can go on Experian and I assume the other 2 credit agencies websites as well and freeze your own credit so nobody can open credit in your name and unfreeze it yourself in a matter of minutes for $ 10 per and save yourself a lot of aggravation and money.

I have had Trustedid for over 3 years. It was ok as I could get the info I needed, mainly alerts when something hit my credit. Now they did some new platform, transferred my account to it and all the history is gone. Instead of giving you the real copy of your credit report, now it is in their summary format which is minimal. And of course they use your once a year right to your free credit report, for their report. Hmmm seems like I am paying them for my free report and they aren’t even showing me the real report? Now that I don’t want the service anymore… oh too late, I am on an annual pay plan so I can only get 50% of what just automatically was taken from my credit card. I don’t know if there are better identify theft services out there but now that some person sitting in the ivory tower has made things «better» for themselves, it doesn’t serve my purposes.

Their website advertises 14 day free trial with access to all credit reports and scores so I thought it was a good deal. After seeing that my experian credit score was over 50 points lower than 3 months ago when I applied for a home loan I was in disbelief. I paid $ 1 for experian’s credit report and score and saw that TrustedID underestimated my Experian credit score by 42 points causing me to pay experian and go through the headache of signing up with experian, paying, more emails, etc. Trustedid has accurate credit reports but not accurate with scores. Maybe they should focus on their strengths instead of creating a low quality all in one package. I support the fact that they operate in my area of California, but caused me a headache. On top of that, they charged me the $ 14.95 right after signing up even though the website says 14 day free trial. Unhappy with this company and will never use again.

As a new potential customer, I noticed whenever I call in to get some information, they always say my phone call is next in line. I try calling in on a 2^nd line and it is also the next in line. Something seems wrong there… It seems you can’t find any operating hours on their website as well.
After doing more research on the web, they seem to offer a pretty complete package at a reasonable rate for their family plan. Some of the other sites such as LifeLock doesn’t offer a discounted family plan like TrustedID.
