Susan was our wedding florist, event designer, and lead managing the wedding «day of». My husband, mom and I were beyond pleased and impressed with Susan’s work, resources, and calming personality/​approach.
Susan is so CREATIVE and together her ability to LISTEN and understand our wedding vision, she produced the most beautiful wedding day! With a few photos and some conversation, Susan fully understood the wedding aesthetic we were hoping to achieve. There were a few (okay more than a few) special ideas we wanted to incorporate and Susan came up with amazing ways to those ideas to life. She found green almonds, which have sentimental value, and beautifully incorporated into our wedding flowers. Her creativity and love for her work is evident and so refreshing in the wedding planning process. (hopefully I can attach some photos)
Susan is an AMAZING resource. She is well connected in the industry and every question/​request, she had amazing recommendations. To name a few a rehearsal dinner spot, a calligrapher, a custom napkin maker, a last minute make-​up artist… the list goes on. We could not have been more pleased with all of the recommendations.
Susan has this amazing ability to balance her creativity with being practical. When an extra expense, like chargers, didn’t add to the table aesthetic she encouraged to not use them. She understand our wedding day priorities and helped us say focused on that.
She did an incredible job ensuring the day of went smoothly. She kept us on track from a time perspective and was a joy to be around.

On the flower side: just stunning. All the flowers had some personality, were a bit unusual and 100% absolutely gorgeous. They elicited many many comments and compliments. On the planning side: remarkably professional, detail oriented, had great contacts and everything ran like clockwork letting us concentrate on enjoying the evening. Can’t say enough. Long, long overdue review for Three Sisters. Susan did our wedding over a year ago at the Los Altos History Museum. She made sure to stay within our budget, provided and excellent consultation, and delivered on exactly what we wanted for our wedding. I highly recommend her.

Absolutely in love with Susan’s work. She knew from our first meeting exactly what I was looking for. She is very professional and at our consultation, she showed me around her studio so I could see examples of containers for centerpieces. TBH, flowers were not a big priority when I started planning my wedding, but I think talking to Susan made me really excited about how beautiful flower arrangements could really be. She is genuinely passionate about her craft and dedicated to achieving her clients’ wedding vision.
On the day of, she dropped off our beautiful bouquets to the hotel and then proceeded to set up the ceremony and reception flowers at the venue. She was even okay with setting up some minor ceremony decorations (we provided the materials). When some of the flowers in my bouquet wilted during pre-​ceremony photos because of the heat (~100oF!!), she saved the day by having another bouquet ready within minutes — just in time to have a fresh one to walk down the aisle with! We planned to re-​purpose the arch flowers for the sweetheart table to minimize costs, and she was able to stay through the ceremony (~30 minutes) to help with the transfer. Hopefully, some of the pictures we are enclosing with this review will do a much better job than we can with words, in terms of expressing the beauty and impact of Three Sisters’ work on our wedding day.
One of the only regrets my groom and I have from that day, is that we didn’t also contract with Susan and her team to be our wedding planner. We loved her calm demeanor, and attention to detail.
Susan has that perfect combination of experience (so quite simply, she is always going to exceed expectations), and drive to keep pushing her artistry to greater and greater heights. Susan still seems always game to explore new styles and trends … a few weeks before our wedding, Susan was taking a professional development workshop to learn how to create high heeled shoes and bracelets out of botanicals. Seriously!
Three Sisters is one of only three wedding vendors that I am writing a five star review for (the others are our photographer and our baker) … so we are tough customers, we know.

Susan is absolutely AMAZING.
I am a wedding photographer, and have worked with her in both the context as a floral designer and and event planner/​coordinator. She ranks among the highest caliber in each category that I have come across.
She is a true visionary in her floral designs. She has the ability to bring concepts to life and really outdoes herself in detail + quality. I have worked with her on two different weddings and one editorial photo shoot. Each had a completely different look to them which completely suited the theme of each event, and all were beautifully and artistically executed.
As an event coordinator, I have received positive feedback from brides regarding her performance, but as a vendor I experienced her service to be top notch. She kept the vendors well informed– sending us information weeks before the wedding. She kept everything running smoothly and on time. She communicated with us (the photographers) to ensure we had our needs met to deliver the best photos to the clients. And she was attentive to the clients and vendors during the entire event.

Susan did the flowers for our wedding and she and her team were absolutely amazing. She worked within our budget and created some of the most stunning floral arrangements I’ve ever seen. Months after I look at my wedding pictures and just stare at how beautiful our flowers were — they were perfect.

We worked with Susan for our recent wedding at the Los Altos History Museum and I can’t say enough good things about the experience. She was so responsive and helpful from the get-​go. My mom and I met with her at her home months before the wedding to talk about what we were looking for, and as soon as I met her I felt at ease. This is someone who has worked a million weddings and really knows what she is doing! She talked us through what would be in season at the time of our wedding and suggested which rentals would go nicely with our colors and event theme.
Susan joined our other vendors for a walkthrough at the venue a couple of weeks before the wedding so we could work through any outstanding questions. The day of our wedding was pretty hot (95 degrees in Los Altos), but our flowers arrived looking fresh and bright. Susan’s team got everything set up beautifully and on time. I couldn’t have been more pleased with my bouquet or our centerpieces. She knows the venue inside and out and was able to make fantastic recommendations about where we needed to add some flowers to brighten things up.
I would definitely recommend hiring Three Sisters for your wedding or special event.

Our wedding date was 8÷17÷13 and we had our ceremony at the Sheraton in Sunnyvale, at the outdoor Gazebo site. Then we had our reception at the Sheraton in Palo Alto. Both places were absolutely stunning! We had the gazebo covered in a Sheer Fabric that looked so beautiful! The flowers on the gazebo were gorgeous… And then we arrive to our reception and even we were taken back by how amazing the room looked! Our centerpieces were incredible and everyone made comments of how great they were! We had tall branches with beautiful orchids and votive candles hanging throughout. They were absolutely amazing! My bouquet and my bridesmaid’s bouquets were perfect! I had picasso calla lilies and the girls had beautiful white mini calla lilies… I was so happy with how everything looked!
Overall we were so pleased with Susan and were so happy with her work! We loved working with her! She was great with emailing me back and answering all my questions! She made all our visions come true! Thank you Susan so much for making our dream wedding a reality! All your hard work was appreciated! You made me one happy bride!!! :)

I was so lucky to have found Susan here on Unilocal.My (now) husband and I decided to plan a wedding in 3 months and since he is Indian there was a lot of pressure from family members to hire Indian vendors for everything. But I had other ideas in mind and when I found Three Sisters on Unilocal I knew their style was what I wanted. I just had to make sure I could get jai malas (marigold garlands) for the Indian ceremony.
I met with Susan and went over everything I wanted for the day and it turned out she knew a good deal about Indian weddings. She even had some beautiful bowls from India already purchased to use for the reception centerpieces. After our first meeting she sent me a contract with photos of all the flowers I wanted to use, describing exactly what would be done and where it would go. –This is very important– I’ve learned that when you are working with vendors for any event, it must be crystal clear what they are going to do, where things will go, exactly how much everything will cost, etc. Susan was completely on top of everything… she’s also an event coordinator.
Looking back I should have hired her as our wedding coordinator (we didn’t have one and did everything ourselves). It would have been worth every penny. Seriously look into this as it will save you a great deal of stress/​anxiety and time you don’t have. I would never plan an important event by myself again… there are so many details you don’t even realize need to be handled. Le sigh.
Anyway, the flowers exceeded my expectations… the bridal bouquet was incredibly beautiful (I uploaded a few pictures here from our wedding), the centerpieces were better than I had imagined and the jai malas were perfect. I’d seen some before at other Indian weddings but ours blew those out of the water… so beautiful and detailed. In fact everything Susan made had all these lovely details that I wouldn’t have even thought to ask for. My husband’s family was very impressed. The guests all mentioned how lovely the flowers were. We loved everything.
One bit of advice before you freak out over the cost of wedding flowers vs. getting a regular bouquet on a normal occasion… the time, effort and cost that goes into preparing your flowers to open at just the right time, making sure all the arrangements look exactly the same, ensuring the flowers are the perfect quality, etc. is not easy and is more work than most people realize. It’s a very different task than walking into a local florist and getting an arrangement, so it will not be on the same price scale.
Three Sisters quality of work is worth every penny and as others here have mentioned, working with Susan was so nice because she is really calm and knowledgable. She has great ideas and doesn’t push anything on you. I can’t recommend her enough.

Amazing wedding flowers. Susan worked with us to understand and create an amazing layout for our wedding. Tall, short and everything in between were used to create dramatic center pieces and a wonderful backdrop to the ceremony. Susan understood our vision after our first meeting and I felt completely comfortable with her being in control of the florals. We cannot wait for the photos — even the ones from friends look stunning. I highly recommend susan to anyone needing florals for an event!

Destination event? Then this is the floral designer for you. Susan recently organized and with extreme talent, assembled all of the arrangements for our Montana weekend. We gave Susan minimal guidance as to what our theme and idea was… incredibly, she was right on with her choices and style of flowers. We received accolades from everyone that attended. Susan overwhelmed us with her eye for detail as well as her flair for presentation. We will certainly recommend her to anyone for any event.

From the first meeting with Susan she understood exactly what we wanted for our wedding! She took our vision and added more to it to create the perfect ambiance and style! We only wish that we had found her sooner. The price was good and she incorporated everything that we wanted and more. Susan is very calm, professional and has a great eye for detail. I met with numerous florists and none of them made me feel the way Susan did, she is very warm and comforting. Exactly what you need when planning a wedding!
I got married September 10, 2011 and I met with Susan about 9 months before. My fiancé and I went over our vision and types of flowers that we were wanting and thought we were ahead in planning. Until about 1 month out, I totally changed my mind and wanted more texture and more of a natural look. When I contacted Susan I was nervous beacuse of the time frame and once again she was so calm. I emailed her photos and we had one more meeting before our wedding. At the end of our meeting it was like a weight had been lifted off my shoulders. She knew exactly what we wanted!
Susan and her niece delivered my bouquet to my room and it was STUNNING!!! I hate roses and unfortunatley it was about the only flower available to me in September. I chose to go with the David Ausin Rose and the Café Au Lait Dahlia and this was a beautiful combination.
My DOC walked us into our reception site and it was absolutely BREATHTAKING!!! Our vision came out in her work and people are still talking about how gorgeous our flowers were.

Susan was the floral designer and day of coordinator for our July 2010 wedding. Hiring her was one of the best decisions we made during our wedding planning.
As our floral designer: she was a trusted professional, accessible whenever we needed her and totally reliable. She met with us several times to pin point the vision we had for our day and then applied her talent to sculpt that vision into a masterpiece. The end result was breathtaking– she is a talented artist who brought our vision to life. Actually, the end result was better than we could have imagined.
As a day of coordinator: she is one of the main reasons we had little stress during our wedding. Susan took care of all the details, leaving us to enjoy the best moment of our lives. It is worth the extra money to hire a day of– you have already paid major bucks for the wedding, why not invest a tiny bit more to ensure you will actually enjoy the day. Those are my two cents.

Susan was our florist for our September 2010 wedding, and we were incredibly impressed with her work, her professionalism, her artistic talent, and her warmth. We had a hard time articulating our vision, but Susan stuck with us and the results were spectacular. Everyone raved about our flowers, and we couldn’t have been happier. Susan also did a huge event (90 tables) for my work this past May and her work was fantastic. If you need a florist for an event of any size, I highly recommend her!

Wow, I don’t know where to start. Susan was a joy to work with from start to finish. I had some general ideas about what I did and didn’t want for my wedding flowers. As soon as I met with her and saw some of the wedding boards she had worked on I knew that she was far more than an average florist. Susan was working on becoming a wedding coordinator as well (I believe she’s completed that goal) and I benefitted from her creativity and passion.
I knew what I wanted in the bouquets and the colors overall but that was about it. Susan has so many creative ideas that once we chatted about the centerpieces a bit and I just knew that Susan had the vision I did — and I was right. I love the centerpieces she did. The bouquets were beautiful and I was excited to have her incorporate vintage jewelry into my bouquet.
She went above and beyond incorporating a fabric that I had purchased and wanted to use at the reception, into her flower design. Susan wrapped the fabric around vases and votives and the whole reception looked magazine worthy! She really outdid herself. She also did a beautiful job placing the flowers on the cake… I didn’t give much direction ahead of time and was so pleased. There were even single orchids on the head table place settings! The attention to detail was incredible and Susan was so pleasant to work with that I couldn’t imagine working with anyone else.
As another poster mentioned Susan had a replacement boutonnière waiting as the grooms grandfather accidentally flung the flowers off of the grooms bout. She even provided the square vases I wanted, which I know were difficult to find in the height we needed.
Susan hadn’t worked at the venues I booked and took the time to visit them ahead of time and introduce her to the coordinators there. I had the utmost confidence in her and she never let me down.

Susan did the flowers for our wedding and I cannot recommend her enough. She was AMAZING! She listined to what we wanted in terms of design and budget and created absolutely beautiful floral arangements for our wedding. She also helped with some of the corrdination stuff and she made the day go so smoothly. Finally, she was attentive to details. FOr instance, she made multiple boutineere’s for me in case one broke. And while we weree taking photos, my 1 yr old nephew grabbed my boutineere and tore off the flower. Without me even noticing, Susan replaced it on my lapel in what must have been one-​thousandth of a second.
