After walking in all of the cute little shops on University Ave and not finding any gifts at all, I suggested that we head over to the Annex. This little shop is right next door to the University Art Center. It has soaps, candles, jewelry, kitchen knick knacks, and all sorts of little gifts. My boyfriend and I hit the jackpot here. He found a gift for his grandmother, we both got white elephant gifts for our work parties, and we scored some awesome ornaments for our ornament exchange party.

great little store next door to the university art center in downtown palo alto. they have stationery, greeting cards, hand and body care, and other little trinkets that make great gifts for people of all ages. i especially like their gift bags, which come in an array of sizes, shapes and colours. they also have a gift bag that is suitable for a bottle of wine, perfect for the wine enthusiast in your life. i’d definitely recommend stopping in here if you need to buy a small gift or greeting card.
note that they are closed on sundays.
