Specialties

Founded in 1972, Stanford Jazz Workshop provides jazz musicians of all ages, abilities and backgrounds the opportunity to study and play with world-class jazz musicians.

Our summer jazz camp (for musicians aged 12 – 17) and jazz residency (for adults and advanced youth) programs provide an exceptional immersion in jazz, fostering appreciation and musicianship. Summer participants study and play with many of the top artists working in jazz today, attend master classes, and participate in hands-on combo playing and performance.

SJW also presents the annual Stanford Jazz Festival, a summer-long series of performances spanning the full spectrum of the jazz idiom.
