Have brought my classic 6 series BMW in here several times for minor to moderate repairs, always satisfied. Scott knows what he’s talking about and will get your car back on the road. I’ve spent time in the shop and I’ve seen them fix even the worst running cars, Definitely keep in touch with them and you will get the bang for your buck.

I have trusted Sherman’s Auto for 10 years and have had superior service from them. A friend referred me and I’ve referred several people since. They have a friendly family feel and you’ll quickly learn that you can trust them. Over 10 years they’ve kept my sedan functioning so that I could get the most bang for my buck. Steve and Brady have both gone out of their way at times to help me with little things at no extra cost, including letting me borrow their car when mine is in the shop, replacing a light bulb, doing some simpler inspections, etc. They will give you an honest opinion– for example the time they told me I really didn’t need to replace a part for 6 more months when I wouldn’t have known differently. Turns out they were right and I didn’t need to replace the part at all. They’ve saved me a lot of money in the long run. As a single woman, I completely trust them to take care of my car at the most reasonable cost. They are the best. I hope you’ll give them a chance!

This is the best auto repair in the area. Staff is extremely knowledgeable and friendly. They’re even nice with your kids. Once, I brought my Jeep to get the sunroof fixed (it had gotten stuck, impossible to close it). They couldn’t fix it after one hour of labor, they could only close it. No charge. Zero. Same for checking a used car I wanted to buy. They spent thirty minutes on it. No charge. Of course, for those little favors, you have to be a customer. But overall they charge less than the average and the service is always good.

Women, beware. Shemans Auto has tried to take advantage of my fiancé. They were breaking parts in her car so that she would have to come back to get them fixed and pay Shermans Auto more money.
I personally took my truck into Shermans Auto just to get the headlights fixed. After the repairs were finished, the headlights kept breaking. I had to take my truck back in four times after the repair was done. I have contacted Consumer Affairs and the BBB.
Please be cautious, I would not send my worst enemy to Shermans Auto.

If you’re a single woman, then I’d stay away from Shermans. They will rip you off and use parts that are old and from a different make of car. My Toyota still has problems after they serviced the car over a year ago. They created a squeak and it’s still there.

I cannot say enough about how Joel at Sherman’s handled a recent car problem. After picking my car up from a water pump replacement, it would not start agin, a mere 10 minutes later! While Sherman’s was closed already, I waited 2 hours in 100 degree heat to have AAA tow it back. The next day, about 3 pm having not heard anything and fearing the worse, having to buy a new motor, I finally called and was so relieved to have Joel tell me nothing was wrong, just a little water in the electrical from having the water pump replaced. The car started right up and continued to all day! He apologized profusely for my inconvenience, waiting in the heat, renting a car etc. Best of all, he told me, there would be no charge!
Then on Saturday, when the car suddenly stopped working again in the midst of errands, I kept my faith in Sherman’s and had AAA tow it back. The AAA driver even recognized us!
This time, Joel really spent all day diagnosing the problem. A bad fuel pump etc. Fortunately it was fixed quickly again and ready to pick up, so I only had to rent a car for 2 days.
Joel was so nice to call my workplace the next day to make sure the car was running well.
Really, can’t say enough about Joel at Sherman’s.

I’ve been impressed with Sherman’s Auto Service because of the customer service and the quality of the work.
I took my ’92 Lexus SC300 in with some nagging electrical problems. Joel spent extra time up front to try to understand the problem from the symptoms I described. The next day he called and told me about the problems he’d found (bad starter and alternator), fully described the problems and explained to me what he thought needed to be done. I appreciated the thoroughness and clarity of the communication without feeling like I was getting a hard sell for unnecessary refurbished parts.
Four months later, I took my car in again for a minor problem with my clock. Joel remembered me by name and the work he’d done on my car.
If you want a shop that can make the repairs you need and explain them to you in an understandable way, try Sherman’s.

Joel and everyone at Sherman’s specialize in old cars, all makes. I’ve taken several of my relics (56 Chev, 65 TBird, 78 Dodge RV) there and have nothing but good things to say about their service. They know old cars and if they can’t do something, they’ll make an appropriate referral.
Sherman’s repairs modern cars just as well, but very few shops will touch vintage stuff.

These guys are good at communicating, and do the job right. The tech guy who talks to customers (Steve?) really gets what I mean.
Once my radiator fan «let out all its magic smoke.» I went to get said radiator fan replaced. Since my (now sold :() car is old, its fan was hard to locate — they found it for $ 400, and I found it for $ 150, after I approved the $ 400 fan. Which leads me to a rant about how car part distribution could use some efficiencies and competition, which is off the topic.
So basically, they would have gotten 5 stars if they had cheaper parts, this one time. But even though their hourly rate is higher than I’m used to (from the east coast), they never overbilled hours, they spent time talking to me about how my car was running, and they were good. I’ll go back.
