Kumura gallery is located in the older building they share with dry cleaners on Hamilton Ave. that runs parallel to University Ave. in downtown PA, near Parasol beauty atelier. It features Japanese and Asian antiques and vintages, and provides framing work for said art. They have prints and other artwork available for sale. It’s a relatively small space I would call something other than gallery, perhaps an old-​fashion parlor? (maybe just a shop). It’s an interesting place to stop by if you’re so inclined.

Their selection of Japanese items are fabulous, ranging from art books and stickers to furniture and Kimonos. Service is attentive, hospitable and very friendly, run by a Bay Area mom and her daughters who really get to know their customers. Their sister store is in SF on Ocean Ave., run by another family member. They do amazing jobs on their framing and really help you pick out the appropriate matte and frame. Street parking available. Located next to a dry cleaners and a Mediterranean restaurant.
