Dr. Andrawess is the bee’s knees. A real mensch. A great dentist. I adore him and his staff.

Dr. Andrawess… where do I start. He is phenomenal. I now live in Philadelphia and STILL fly back to see him only.
How I found him? Emergency at 5pm w/​a cracked crown from a recent root canal. Panicked because I didn’t think anyone would take me at this hour. He put a temporary on and then replaced it with a new crown. Yes, people, I’ve had a lot of cavities in my life and even a root canal before I hit the dirty 30… I know who a good dentist is and I know who a phenomenal dentist is.
His work? Patient and thorough and painless. (True — i never like the numbing q-​tip and shot… but that’s for the scientists to discover a new way to get around that :)).
His dental assistant and hygienist: very thorough. This office does not rush through their work. When you get rushed (as I have experienced) you will walk out in pain.
Dr. Andrawess explains everything very thoroughly about why you must floss (he lit the light bulb for me that flossing is important and causes bad breath, etc, etc…) No other doctor was able to get the important points to me… use your fluoride… etc. As mentioned, almost 30 and no dentist has been able to get it across how important it is.
For majority of my visits it’s Dr. Andrawess who cleans my teeth. You don’t find that often, and I think that is also very important. How else would they really know our (bad) habits and give you tips or even get to know your teeth (or even you for that matter!)
I referred my husband, my old work colleague and they absolutely love him as well.
He IS WORTH the $ 300 flight back to CA to get my dental work done.
FUN TIP: he has a TV monitor above… if you have cavities and any longer procedure, they’ll find your favorite show on netflix, hulu and play it while they are working on you.

I first went to Dr Andrawess two years back when I had a lot of build up, some shaky teeth, bleeding gums and a wisdom tooth that had a whole new set of other problems. Dr Andrawess at that time did a complete examination of my teeth and suggested a number of procedures. I got a deep cleaning done, some cavities filled and the troublesome wisdom tooth was extracted. Dr Andrawess carried out all of these procedures meticulously and they were almost painless.
After a few visits to his clinic, I asked Dr Andrawess what I could do to make sure I keep my teeth intact. He was very honest with me and said the only way to do so was by flossing and brushing the right way, everyday, and following his instructions to maintain dental hygiene.
I did as I was told by Dr Andrawess. Recently I visited him after about 12 months of my last cleaning job. I was expecting very little cleaning since I felt I was doing a good job at maintaining dental hygiene. When Christina confirmed by saying that my teeth were in almost impeccable condition, I felt great. She said if I continue doing whatever I have been doing for the last 12 months, I will surely be able to keep all my teeth for a long time. She also asked me not to skip my half yearly clean up appointments. I will make sure I dont.
I am glad I found Dr Andrawess and his team of dentists. Two years back, another dentist I visited before going to Dr Andrawess, had suggested more tooth extractions and said it was very unlikely that I would be able to keep all my teeth. I am super happy to know he was wrong. After the great experience with Dr Andrawess, I trust him and his team and would highly recommend him.

I’ve been going to Dr. Andrawess for 4 years now, and was so happy with his work that I continued to go to him even after I moved out of Palo Alto all the way up to SF. He’s honest, responsive, patient, and good-​humored — I plan on continuing with him until my teeth fall out, which thanks to him will probably be a very long time :)

Adding to the other great comments on Dr. Andrawess … I first started with him in Boston about 15 years ago, where over half of my startup loved him. Was thrilled when I discovered he had also moved out to the west coast. I’d echo the comments from other reviews: great attention to detail and just a very nice, engaging style that sets you immediately at ease. I’d add that his work is great, and I would know … have 2 crowns and several fillings from 15 years ago that are still going strong. Cannot recommend him enough, easily the best dentist I’ve had.

My Dentist moved out of town so I found Dr. Andrawess on Unilocal.I am so glad I found him and his practice. Christina did such a thorough job cleaning my teeth and explained everything she was doing. She is incredibly meticulous and very nice.
Dr. Andrawess also did a very thorough examination, checking the health of my teeth and gums as well as my ENTIRE mouth, something I didn’t experience much with previous dentists.
The practice is very honest, friendly and looks out for your best interest. I’ve already booked my 6 month visit and look forward to going back!

Dr Andrawess is a dentist that gives a damn and that shows in his care, his gentleness and his passion for dentistry. Few Dentists I have seen check for mouth cancer.

Saw the reviews on Unilocal and decided to check him out. My dentist back in Michigan is a family relative, so I had to find a good dentist that lives up to my standards.
Dr. Andrawess is the perfect choice. He is very detailed and explained everything to me as I got my teeth cleaned. I had a tooth ache and went to see him again. He diagnosed my issue correct and sent me to an Endodontist to get it checked out. I had a root canal done and Dr Andrawess did a great job with my crown. The Endodontist he sent me too was very patient and a great recommendation as well. He is my permanent dentist out here for sure now.

Moved out of the area and am sad, since this dentist was probably the best I’ve had since that dentist when I was a kid who would make jokes to blunt the horrifying nature of a masked adult approaching you with implements of torture. Does a very thorough, skilled job and does NOT try to recommend unnecessary routines to make money off of you. Will miss you, Dr. Andrawess!

Dr. Andrawess provides personal attention, even for the smallest of tasks. He’s very detail oriented, and conducts comprehensive exams and carefully executes treatment plans. When I’ve experienced unexpected pain, he’s found a way to create space in his calendar to evaluate the issue promptly. And i always feel like my health and my interests are placed above all else — especially when we discuss alternative treatment plans.
Oh, and he’s a genuinely nice man and I can honestly say that I enjoy my visit to the dentist!

Best. Dentist. Ever. Truly cares about patients. Gives you the straight truth, in a gentle way. Cleanings are an entire hour — extremely comprehensive and meticulous. Can’t see myself ever switching dentists unless I move out of the area or he retires. I refer Googlers to him at every chance I get.

For first time in my life I don’t hate going to the dentist! Every time I go to his office things go very smoothly. He doesn’t try to sell me things and he does a great job.
I just went back there a few weeks a go to redo one of the fillings form my previews dentist, I didn’t have the usual problem with uneven and uncomfortable fillings, he just did the filling and it was perfect! I didn’t even had to tell him to make it shorter or anything.
Ihab and his Dental Hygienists are also very nice and friendly. We always have a lot of chit-​chat, which feels friendly and more than just doing business with them.
I would totally recommend them!

I chipped my tooth and called Dr. Andrawess the very next day. Even though I had no appointment or anything he slipped me into his schedule and he quickly saw me. He was very professional and friendly and didn’t try to oversell. I would definitely recommend him!

Dr. Andrawess is the best dentist I have ever had — he always takes the time to answer my questions and makes sure I know what he is doing. I’ve never had any trouble scheduling appointments. And the added bonus of the DVD player so I can watch TV shows makes the visit just fly by. I agree with Steve C when he says Dr. A doesn’t oversell you and will let you know when a procedure is unnecessary or if there is a more cost efficient way to the same result. Added bonus, free parking lot in the back!

Dr. Andrawess is the dentist of many Google employees and he’s wonderful. After a long day, he’s caught me nodding off in the chair, and we both got a laugh– that’s the best recommendation for a dentist!

Dr Andrawess is not only a terrific dentist who works quickly and efficiently, he is extremely knowledgeable and genuinely cares for his patients. He is always VERY sensitive to not causing discomfort or pain when cleaning or operating and augments it with a precise and steady pair of hands. He won’t try to sell you a bunch of expensive solutions, but will instead teach you how to brush and floss properly. Furthermore, his schedule is normally quite accommodating with little or no wait as he is punctual as well.
