History

Established in 1976.

After training as a Psychologist and Alexander Technique Teacher, in 1976 I started teaching and helping people first in Europe, then Australia where I trained teachers, then in the US.

I presently have 3 practices: one in MenloPark/​Palo Alto where I live since 2008, one in San Diego since 2004 (5 days a month) and one in Berkeley since 2003 (twice a month).F.M.Alexander (1869 – 1955) who developped his Technique started teaching it in 1897.

Business Owner

Dominique Jacques is a certified Alexander Technique teacher with 35 years of experience. She studied Alexander Technique in London with Walter Carrington, one of the principal teachers trained by Alexander himself. Since then she has taught both private and group lessons in Europe, Australia, India, and the US. Dominique Jacques has also trained AT teachers for 5 years in Australia. Her graduate degree in Psychology, her study of Yoga and Meditation coupled with her life-​long commitment to personal development make her approach to Alexander Technique rich and wholistic.
