That’s a weird place, tucked inside a dead-​looking office center. Walk inside the office building, there’s a courtyard, the café is hidden there. Having to eat the so-​so fast food style rolls in a courtyard with obligatory artifical-​looking plants that fail to enliven the walls surrounding you like a fortress on all 4 sides, the sound of the highway in the background, with the guy in the café being the only human presence, typifies all that South Bay stands for

This café located inside a small office complex is awesome. My daughter and I went there because she wanted sushi in the morning for some reason and we loved it. It’s small and cute and the owner is very nice and accommodating. The food was delicious. What a gem!

This was a great find inside a building full of small to mid size companies. Decent turkey sandwich on sweet roll for only $ 5 and the Vegetable soup was delicious and inexpensive for this area where your only other option is a crowded but popular Chinese restaurant. It is best for to-​go orders because the seating is limited, but when we settled at a table we noticed fresh flowers on it, which was a pleasant surprise.

The Bee Café is a small sandwich shop in the Embarcadero business park building. Roy serves sandwiches, soup, salads with coffee, espresso, soft drinks and tea. He also caters meetings with a variety of food. He is very accommodating as well. It is basic lunch counter food but it is of a good quality. I’m a fan and enjoy the experience of knowing and talking with the man who makes what we eat.
