History

Established in 1979.

In 1979 what began as a small upholstery shop in our home, has grown to become a full line home decorating center now located in one of Palmyra’s most beautiful buildings on the corner of Market and Main Street in the downtown business district. Although Furniture Upholstery is our main business, we also offer Window Treatments (blinds and shades) by Hunter Douglas as well Custom Made Draperies and Valances. The addition of the Martin Senour Paint line and a full Wallpaper Library in 2002 has made us a true destination for many of your home decorating needs.

Business Owner

Dan began working in a small automotive upholstery shop in 1972, but soon learned that his passion was working with furniture. His skills to cut and sew were taught by the owner, his boss, and over time he transferred those skills from working on autos to working on furniture. From 1976 to 1977 Dan was employed by Stickley Furniture, just before they ventured into more upholstered furniture, where he worked primarily on dining room chair seats. From there he worked for Penfield Upholstery, until in 1979 he finally decided it was time to start his own business. The rest … is history!
