Without batting an eye, the server took my order of eggs benedict with tomato instead of ham – delicious (and nutritious)!
Definitely a place for Seniors on a budget too. Atmosphere is a dive diner, but the food is good and the prices are great. Popular fish fry on Fridays.
I would give 5 stars, but the servers are expected to run the cash register as well – I’ve often waited to pay because they’re so busy

Solid breakfast place with great omelets and French toast. For lunch, the hot beef sandwich with mashed potatoes and gravy features real potatoes and homemade gravy, not that canned stuff that so many other diners resort to.

Although as the other reviews pointed out, the place is a bit of a dive, we thought that might be a good thing, as it’s high rating was probably based on the service and food… Well, considering the 45 minutes it took to get our food and the mediocrity of the burgers, Reuben, French fries and onion rings, we are left baffled by what these other reviewers could possibly have based their high ratings on. We weren’t the only ones waiting that long for our food as we noted that those around us were also waiting and wondering what the heck was taking so long for the food to come out. No checking back to see how everything was… Just a quick laying down of the check and the cursory «thanks for coming.» We noted that when we went to the cashier to pay, we were not asked the customary «how was everything?»… Guess they either already knew or figure ignorance is bliss!

You’re going to walk in and be impressed with the food; don’t let anything cloud your judgement on this establishment. Last time I was there, I got the Gypsy Skillet + an egg sandwich with bacon on an English muffin. The meal was incredible and I didn’t want to leave without eating at least another egg sandwich. They do NOT skimp on the food and it tastes oh so good! The specials they have make me want to try every single one of them. Get ANY of their soups!!! Whoever says you have to spend a ton of money on a great meal filled with delicious comfort foods NEVER came to Main Street Family Restaurant! To all the staff there — well done!

Amazing place. I love the food, it is extremely rare for my to get a bad meal and if I do they fix it. The staff is very friendly & the owners are friendly, and personable. The average cost per person including drink and desert $ 10-​$ 15, but it’s well worth it the portions are large & the food is excellent. I’d eat every meal here if I could.
