I feel like I always have to chase someone down to help me bc they’re on the go helping someone else. they have no help buttons to call someone to that dept. Sad. Lady at customer service had a bland non inviting tone and bad attitude. I first heard her stating instructions to the person in front of me. After the person walked away I waited for the customer service lady to let me know she can help me. After 5 seconds and nothing I decided to step up. I looked straight at the customer service lady’s face and said, «Hello, how are you.» She said nothing and did not look at me. I pulled the item I was returning and the receipt out of the bag and handed it to her. She tapped on the cash register keyboard and said, «signature.» I signed the POS pad and the customer service rep gave me the $ 1.94 for the returned item. WOW! What a dismal experience. The management at Home Depot should be given training on how to understand human nature and help their employees get through a rough day. And show management how to select the right employee to face customers. This lady was either having a bad day and didn’t know how to fake it or doesn’t know how to deliver customer service. She sure doesnt realize how much she impacts the customer experience. If I can find items at Lowe’s or other Home Depots I won’t be coming back to this store.

Every time I’ve gone, the workers have been so helpful. I feel they go the extra mile here to make sure you’re getting the correct products for what ever you may need them for, kudos Home Depot.

Made a trip over the weekend for some essential gardening supplies. Also picked up some sun flowers, snap dragons and other items to plant. The employee in the garden center was extremely helpful and was able to answer the majority of our questions. I did get the feeling that my inquiries were a bit overbearing however that’s why you come to this store for products and answers to your question. They just need to work a bit harder on their customer service skills.

We purchased our shower tile at Lowes but they do not rent tile saws so we rented a tile saw from Home Depot. This wasn’t really a choice. We were told we were required to have the«legs» or a stand with the saw. Brandi(I think that was her name) helped us. We got home(Littlerock) and the stand she pulled and sent with us had nothing to do with the saw we rented. No big deal really — we sat the saw on a table but still — she should have known which stand to send with the saw. The plug for the saw was weird so we called Home Depot tool rental to find out why. The girl who rented us the saw«forgot» to give us the adapter that is NECESSARY to run the saw. So back to HD we go — ok it’s just 7 miles away but multiply that by 2 it’s now 14 miles of unnecessary travel/time because of HER mistake, not ours. The ONLY thing that was good about this is that she started the time over for the rental — the saw couldn’t be used without this adapter. No apology from her. If it were ME and it was MY mistake I would have offered maybe a ½ day free rental or a full day free for the trouble, down time on our project, gas to go back and forth, etc. I try to NOTSHOP at Home Depot for countless reasons — shop Lowes as it’s the lesser of the two evils

went here today, to buy two interior doors a BBQ and a bathroom sink… I found no one in the door isle, so i asked the service desk to send someone… he shows up and helped another couple who came«after us «- first .we left after 20 minutes of waiting for –another sales guy. needless to say I bought all my needed items at Lowes in lancaster-customer service here sucks I counted 5 people working in the garden section and one(one) the doors/windows/hardware section. pretty sad for a store just over 5 years in the antalope valley. please improve your customer service. There should of been a back up sales guy… and there was not, nor did the guy that was there offer to find another. just bad voo-doo .sorry HD

Lowes seems to have a better selection overall, and is easier to navigate. Floor people at either are hit or miss though, on the friendly/helpful scale. Definitely not a one-stop-shop; you are better off at Amazon for many things, especially price-wise.

I am an Attorney at Law. I have been shopping in stores for over 35 years. God only knows how much money I have spent shopping. I have spent probably tens of thousands of dollars in Home Depot over the years. I had a little project I wanted to do over the weekend, so on Friday evening I went in to Home Depot and spent a few hundred dollars on parts. I started my project yesterday and discovered that one of the parts was the wrong part. I brought the part, placed in its packing, one day after purchase, back to Home Depot along with the receipt. They asked me for my ID which I thought was kind of odd. To make a long story short, they told me that my return was rejected and they gave me a receipt type printout that has an 866 number on it to call. Further, the printout says that I will not be able to return any items at Home Depot for the next 90 days, and that after 90 days it will be re-evaluated. Of course, I called the number and they are only open Monday — Friday, etc. It appears to be a 3rd party company that Home Depot is using called«The Retail Equation,» that was responsible for Home Depot not allowing me to do a valid return. I found their website at . Apparently retailers are now hiring this company to determine whether they will allow returns to be made at the retailer. I have never heard of such a service or thing. I suspect they have me on some kind of list. I know they have made a mistake, or there might be identity theft going on. Whatever it is, can you imagine if I made a several thousand dollar purchase and this happened? Who wants to shop at a store that may not allow you to return anything for any reason? I asked to speak to the manager, he refused to do anything. Basically Home Depot ruined my weekend project and I may be out a hundred dollars because they are refusing to allow me to return an unopened, undamaged product which I have the receipt for, the next day. The blatant refusal of Home Depot to return something a day later with a receipt at least to me is unheard of. I am warning all of you here and now, not to shop at Home Depot because based upon my experience, you may get stuck not being able to return something that may be defective, or something that may be the wrong size, the wrong type, etc. You too could get stuck holding the bag for hundreds or even thousands of dollars. Unless this is made right, I will take my money to Lowes and to other stores. I will never set foot in Home Depot again. Home Depot and the Retail Equation just pissed off the wrong attorney. I am going to first start off by warning all consumers not to shop and Home Depot because they may not be able to do a return. I will then take any and all appropriate legal action against anyone involved in this fiasco so that ordinary consumers do not have to go through what I went through. You have been warned about Home Depot.
