This place is terrific! I called less then 24 hours before my cake needed to be ready and they made it no problem! It tastes so delicious too. I will be using this place whenever I need a dessert. Not a bad price either.

My son’s cake turned out amazing! Not only did I look great, it tasted great too! The price was reasonable compared to other places! I found my go to place for cakes! Thank you so much!

Horrible horrible customers service, we made an appointment for a cake consultation on ½/​16, we showed up and they were closed with a sign on their door displaying, closed from ¹²⁄₃₁ to ¼ when we had an appointment for ½. We hung around in our car till we finally saw people moving around. We went and knocked on the door and it seem like they were not expecting us and had forgotten. The appointment was not a very pleasant experience, we showed her our ideas and she was not very professional, she showed some cake photos on her cell phone then out of no where she just said $ 850 for your cake with no information on what type of work it was going to be or what type of quality her business offered. When I tried to explain my self she was very rude, her response was, you saw the pictures what else do you want to know we are the cheapest in the antelope valley. Horrible experience wound not be coming back here ever again.

So where to start… So I was looking for a birthday cake for my sons 4^th birthday. He loves Doc McStuffins, so I wanted a doc McStuffins themed cake minus the girlieness. So like blues, greens and purples, skip the pink.
I showed and sent her a cake that I absolutely loved and what substituions I wanted. She had beautiful cakes on her fb personal page (Although has no formal business page on fb… and that shoulda been a hint) but I went with her even considering. Now Im a wedding photographer by trade so Im very precisce about what Im looking for, and am punctual about wording, timing, and details. She charged me $ 140.00 for a 2 tier fondant cake, asked me to provide the toys for the cake, and that she would make it.
I ordered it in Sept and the party wasnt til this past sunday (December 13^th)… I ordered it over 2 months in advance. I very explicitly told her I didnt want it to be girlish. I wanted it to be boyish, I wanted it to pop and I wanted it to be royal purple on the top tier.
She doesnt make formal contracts, only has measely tiny carbon copy receipts and writes very basic information. Anyways, so the day comes to pick up the cake and the party falls on a sunday. I message her asking if I could come an hour earlier bc I needed to be here when the party had started and she said they arent open on sundays and they only will let me pick up at noon when someone comes in to unlock the door.
So I get there 20 min early, wait around, go to the door and I see my cake through the window. I immediately see my cake and it looks dull, its definitely not popping, and the top tier is a light baby baby colored purple, and the middle layer of the cake looks grey. So I immedaitely start crying and freaking out, bc im already late to my own sons bday party, i ordered and paid this cake off in full before even seeing it, and now im still waiting on someone to let me pick it up, and its not even the cake i ordered. So I message the owner on facebook personally and she tells me that she did it exactly like i wanted, and asked me to call her. So I attempt to call her and she sends me to voicemail not once, but twice.
Im sobbing while picking up my sons bday cake, and get the cake bc well i had already paid for it in advance, and im already missing my sons birthday. My son came with us during the cake process and all he wanted was to see his cake so at this rate, what was i suppose to do. so i grab the cake, and my gf drives me back while i hold the cake and cry literally the whole way back. The fondant was cracked, their was a hole in the top of the cakewhere they put the stake through the top, and the coloring was just not what i ordered.
So she finally messages back and pretty much tells me that that this is what i ordered. I explainded that as a fellow businoess owner, perhaps she should look into making more indepth contacts then that specify coloring (waiting for her to at least say okay maybe their was a miscommunication) and instead, when i tell her im heartbroken and that this has ruined my cake purchasing experience in the future, she flat out tells me that next time i can order from costco or walmart since thats more in my purchase range. then proceeds to tell me i can do business how i want, and she will do business how she wants to.
I was just floored. I posted up the entire conversation, receipts and screenshots of everything including her absolute lack of professionalness. My 4 year old son said «thats a girls cake» and i just wanted to die.
When you spend $ 140.00 on your childs 4^th bday cake for a small two tier cake (one 6 inch tier, and one 8 inch tier) … you expect it to be good. to top it off, I asked for strawberry flavored and all my guests said it tasted like banana.
I didnt even bother trying it bc i was so heartbroken, but it left me with a bad taste in my mouth. Sally, if you read this, you should be ashamed of yourself. as a small business owner, whether it was a miscommunication or your fault or my fault, you never say what you said to a client.
word of mouth is everything and you proved to not only not be a gracious and professional business owner but you proved that clients dont truly matter.
Which is absolutely unfortuante bc although you do beautiful work, your customer service lacks something major. I would have sent you tons of referrals. I didnt even need a refund. I just wanted an apology or even an admitting of making a mistake. instead you told me it was my fault that the cake looked like this.
…what a disapoinment. Had I not paid for it in full prior to pick up, I wouldnt have even paid for it.

I ordered a dozen cookies, for around $ 30, went to pick them up, they were so hard, not satisfied with them at all, they looked good, but that’s about it.

I ordered a cake from here in march I messaged her a few hours before she said it would be ready she said yes would be ready at 4pm I needed it for a party at 5pm I went to pick it up and I waited another 20mins before it was ready, mind you I ordered a week in advance. I only glanced at it and paid went to my car where my mother and baby were waiting for me I then opened the cake and was not impressed what so ever but by this time I only had about 30mins before the party. I paid $ 35 for a 6in cake. The cake was thrown together as if they had forgot about my order the frosting was not thick enough and u could see the cake underneath it tasted ok. I had reviewed her on facebook and have her more stars but since she removed my review and blocked me so here I am. I was very unimpressed and even more offended when she blocked me. No customer service skills what so ever

Just pick up the cake i order. Woww!!! That’s all i have to say. I couldn’t be happier with the results. I will be going back

Great experience from the beginning to the end. Sally is very friendly and accommodating, along with being an excellent baker. The cake was a big hit and was moist and very delicious! I highly recommend this bakery for custom cakes!

Holy grail u guys. I drive 1 hour to get their cupcakes and each time my sis and I bite into one its like heaven on earth every single time. They are soft, moist amazing, delicious, full of flavor, crafted to perfection, fresh amazing… did I say amazing… and anyone who says otherwise is probably lacking in the tastebud (and brain cell) areas. I almost hate writing this revbiew because i want them all to myself– no im not fat. Love this place

First time here… i orderd the mocha butter pecan cupcake.
The didnt have a big selection. The display case was basically empty. Only about 5 to pick from. It was too much icing for my liking. The cupcake itself was ok. Not too moist not dry. It was just ok. Now that I’ve been here I won’t be coming back even though it was only 3 bucks.
The guy that helped me was nice though.

One day I was looking for a last minute Bday cake, so I Unilocaled the area and was intrigued by the reviews for Cakes by Sally. I called ahead and asked if they had any cakes, I was told «plenty». I walked in to find” 1″ cake available. The lady at the counter said it was chocolate and vanilla. Cut to the chase, sang Hday, cut the cake, Cake must have been a week old at least. Everything went in the garbage. Beware!

Omg!!! This cake shop is so far the best. And reasonable prices$$$$. Made my cake exactly as I ordered. Other cake shop was charging double the cost. It was a hit at our daughters birthday. Not only the décor but the taste too. Thank you so much Sally and family. We will be ordering from you from now on. Thank you thank you thank you.

I have ordered 3 custom cakes so far for my children’s and sister’s birthdays and they were pretty and delicious! The cakes were so moist and the decorations were as expected. Thank you Sally for such yummy and beautiful cakes!

This place is AMAZING! Their cupcakes are fantastic. Forget about Nadia’s or Double D’s. If you live in the Antelope Valley you have to try this place.
Extremely friendly family owned/​run shop. Everyone is extremely friendly and helpful. Cupcakes are as advertised. Unlike other places if you order a flavor then it tastes EXACTLY like what you ordered and they look great. How they capture those flavors I don’t know but it is crazy! Also, the tamales! You have to try those. Chicken or pork you
cannot go wrong. My kids devour those things leaving me nothing but crumbs.
I cannot wait to get a cake from here for my wife and kids birthdays.

Excellent cake!!! I was a guest at a birthday party that ordered a cake from here. I hate chocolate cake, but this cake… was delicious!!! Yummy frosting too!!!

Ordered a cake from them a little less than 24 hour notice and they had it ready. Only problem was that I ordered strawberry and bananas in it and only got strawberry. The cake was good. I didn’t bother to call or complain as the taste and flavor of the cake made up for. I still think Nadia’s is a better in taste but knowing that this place is new, I give them all the credit in the world. They are heading in the right direction for success for many many years to come! I’m going back as the prices are decent!!!

Went to to a local cupcake /​cake place showed them what we wanted and they quoted us $ 600! I said hell no! Went to sallys and showed them the same louis vuitton cake and told us $ 115! Cake was amazing, flavor was great! I’m a happy customer.

I’m surprised to see good reviews. I wasn’t greeted at the door, a boy out on one glove then served with both hands… eww. There were only 8 options. I saw the owner and tried to make small talk. She blew me off. The cupcakes were average at best. I really wanted a lovely cupcake on the Eastside but I guess I still have to go to Nadia’s.

I placed a cake order for my birthday at «Piece of Cake». I recently moved to the AV area and had no idea where to order a cake from. I decided to take a chance with this bakey. I was completely statisfied with the cake I ordered. My cake was a fondant 2 tier cake. The cake was a complete hit at the party. Everyone was amazed at the design of the cake. I will definately be coming back to this bakery. If you are looking to order a custom made cake, definately go to «Piece of Cake».

Really good cupcakes and the owner is very nice and helpful. The raspberry lemon cupcake is my favorite
