The service as well as the food vary depending on how busy they are & the cook For the most part the food is good Must try the langostinos & seafood molcajete Recently replaced picnic tables and chairs with actual restaurant style tables

It was definetly good, but I was very surprised when the bill for a six came back… 30 $ for six canned modelos? Are you kidding me?! But all the food was decently priced. It caught me way off guard though, and I don’t plan to buy any beer next time I go, if there is a next time. I would’ve liked to tip but sadly couldn’t cuz I went with only 60 $ thinking that’d be enough…

The waitress are often freindly.
The food is very tasty. And prepared very beautifully.
Great place for a date. However.
When there is live music it is way too loud. I couldn’t enjoy my meal… I couldn’t even order my meal because I couldn’t hear the waitress.
I had to walk out.
I’ve played in several heavy metal bands. I know what loud live music is. I’m no rookie.
Ajust the soundboard. Mess with the acoustics in the place. Do what ever it takes.
I’m writing this review to help you. Because I’m not the only person I known who has said the music is too loud.

I went yesterday to las islas Maria. order a large shrimp cocktail. there was a baby roach floating on my food. I told the manager got my money back and left. Never going back

I’m so mad! My boyfriend and I just spent $ 50 on basically a good Pepsi, michelada and fries! I’ve been here twice before for some micheladas with some friends and they are soooo good!!! Best I’ve had in the AV hands down. I’ve never ordered food but it looks so good on the menu. So I told my boyfriend for date night I wanted to go. I was so excited! I ordered my michelada per usual, and we ordered the oyster special. Oysters topped with cooked shrimp, octopus, tomato and cucumber to get the party started. I ordered a cocktail and my bf ordered the breaded shrimp plate. Everything came all at once. I started eating my cocktail. Nothing more special than any other cocktail I’ve eaten. It was good. My boyfriend said his breaded shrimp was ok. Nothing special. They were super cheap with the ranch for his salad. Literally a splash of ranch in one of those little plastic cups. He needed to ask for more ranch. His white rice was super dry and bland. The best thing on his plate was the fries. We started eating the oysters and they were dry, tasteless. Nothing great at all! I ate another one and the oyster legit tasted like POOP!!! I spit it out and it left this awful poop taste in my mouth. I told my boyfriend to smell it and he too said it even smelled like poop. POOP!!! I’ve never had an oyster taste/​smell like poop! It grossed me out! I finished my cocktail and even drank all the juice to get that disgusting poop taste out of my mouth. At that point me and my boyfriend just wanted to leave so we asked for the check it came out to $ 46. I’m so mad at myself for hyping this place up and convincing my boyfriend to take us. I’m only going back for the micheladas but NEVER eating there again. Unless it’s for fries lol

Arrived at 8:45PM. On their tables they have a special on beers which is 10 small 7oz beers for $ 10 on Tuesdays and Wednesdays which is a good deal. The sign also states that the special goes on from 4PM-​10PM. So I decided to take my family there with an hour to spare. As soon as we walk through the doors a rude Mexican lady shouted that they were closed and to get out. I was about to complain but why even bother. The lady looked like the type the would spit in your food if you would complain about something.

I’m a little disappointed tonight. We have been coming here for some years now and we have never had to wait to be seated. When we walked in, there were some people standing around. Given the fact there were plenty of empty tables, we assumed the group ahead of us was waiting to be seated. A server passed by and we asked her if we could seat ourselves to which she replied «hold on a minute». We waited for a while and she failed to return to seat us. We decided to ask someone else and the lady said we could seat ourselves. Why couldn’t the first lady we asked reply with a simple yes or no??? Waste of time! The other reason for the three stars is the loud music. This is the number one reason we hadn’t been to Las Islas Maria’s in a while. You cannot even hear yourself think let alone have a conversation with the person right next to you. The food is fair, not excellent, but good enough that you will be back.

We left very unhappy with our shrimp cocktails. didn’t taste like anything. no flavor what so ever. But I guess the lady who attended us gave good customer service and we got our food right away. Not to sure if I’d wanna come back to eat here again.

Horrible fish tacos, bad chips and salsa, music too loud and they won’t turn it down.

Sooooo yummy! The shrimp endiablados is bomb! I went yesterday I’m going today too! The cheese is so good and I heard their molcajete chingon is so good ! I will definitely be a regular

Food is amazing! I was very impressed, although the music was too loud we had such a hard time trying to talk to each other and order our food.

I ordered a campuchana, it had shells in it. I had to take the peeling off the shrimp. Every spoon didn’t look good, n it didn’t taste good either.
I ordered a michelada, it was served in a plastic cup (gross)
Waste of money, I’ll NEVER go back there again..

The food is GREAT, the beers are cold, I gave it three stars because going on Friday night the music is VERY LOUD!!! I couldn’t here my family at my table

They are finally getting it… went on 5÷4÷15 good music just need to lower the volume down a little. The food has been improving. waitresses have been paying attention. I wanted to order the fish taco but I got a flash back to the fish stick they gave me last time. they need to add more fish. I wanted a Camarones taco but they won’t deep fry it… Don’t know why but they taste better deep fried… I settle Down with a 7 mares…
This time they did me right. good flavor good amount of mariscos. I was happy they are now moving up… I will go again. The food is getting better

My BF brought me here and I have to say this was the best date nite! I can’t believe I drank a bucket full of Tecates to go with my delicious food. Crab legs a la diabla fantastic! Molcajete a la diabla really hot but yummy. Camarones a la diabla appetizers yummy.
Reminds me of the downtown places, hole in the wall, growing up my parents used to take me. And yes the band is playing it’s super loud. But I enjoyed it so much I felt like a kid again but with lots beer all for me!
Definitely will be back! I have to try the Chilada.

Fresh yummy food ! Great micheladas ! Only complaint is the weird cafeteria style tables in the middle luckily there was a booth that became available. Highly recommend !

place is awesome I love the environment and the food specially! me and my family pretty much know all the waitresses and they are super nice and friendly

My boyfriend is a huge fan of their micheladas.
Every single entrée I’ve tried from this place is absolutely delicious! And I mean amazing!
(If you’re a hardcore sea food lover I highly recommend the molcajete! I get mine with garlic butter instead of the spicy sauce)
I will say though the very first time I came to this place their ceviche was perfect. But nowadays it comes with way too many onions.
The chips and salsa they provide while you wait for your drinks and food are also pretty good!
Service is always good. All the girls treat us well and do their job. But «Estephanie» or «Estefanie» excels by far. Amazing server. Def works hard for her tips.
My only «complaint» would be the location (it’s a whole in the wall type of place), setting of the place (like the tables other than the booths are awkward and uncomfortable) and the bands that come and play are just not my cup of tea. Nothing against it though! Just not my thing, I know a lot of people come exclusively for that.
It’s a tad bit on the pricier side but what do you expect. It’s mariscos.
Oh! And there’s no «smell» either.
AND. I believe the place is self seating so feel free to seat wherever you like and one of the girls will be there shortly to help you! :)

Love the micheladas from this place! The clams on the bottom are a great addition to this classic. The ceviche is on point, the specialized oysters w/​shrimp & octopus on top are the biz! It’s a good place to go if you have a fussy baby & the banda is playing! Lol
