The quality keeps going down Scrambled eggs were dry and rubbery Chicken under cooked I come here every once in awhile to see if the quality is any better So will not come back, maybe in 6 months to a year to see if quality is improved Disappointing to say the least

Restrooms could have used see attention. Salad bar had old cucumbers and lettuce. Roast was tough to chew and the tortillas were heated for too long as they were crunchy and were not the ones that were supposed to be.

Every plate and silverware is caked with food. Looks like they need a new dishwasher. Pretty disgusted right now. I have gone through maybe a dozen different plates just to find a decent looking one to put my food on. Now off to sort through the forks. Will never come back here again. I use to love coming here

We went to this HomeTown Buffet location quite often in the past; however recently their service has truly gone down. Today we decided to give it another try, but it wasn’t a good experience at all. The restaurant itself was dirty; the floors were messy, the ice cream machine was filthy, and unfortunately we had the unpleasant experience of seeing a cockroach. We will never visit this establishment again; it’s unfortunate, because they used to be our favorite place to dine.

When I first moved to Palmdale several years ago, we started back eating there, and the service and food I thought was excellent, but now me and my wife had eat there a couple of weeks ago, and the food and service was horrible, I’m just saying

Food was a little over cooked but the associates were great, professional and polite. They are no longer serving steak with the dinner buffet, they want to charge $ 2.49 + tax more. Which with dinner and a drink puts them close to $ 20 for an adult meal. Not sold on it so I declined the steak.

Steak is no longer part of the buffet! Extra charge per piece of steak! The extra 45min drive to golden corral in Victorville is definitely worth it and cheaper!

The service is excellent. I mean you serve yourself, so anyone complaining about that is stupid. But the waiters even refill your drinks for you. The prices are reasonable like 12 dollars including drinks. I mainly came here for chicken and mash. The chicken was good, but the mash was a lot thicker than others home towns. I see they do a family fun night and offer scratchers for you to win a meal or something. Which is really nice of the owner.

I’ve come here once in a while with my family. and when I was younger I always like the food and dessert. but now.the food taste awful. the dessert area was dirty including plates. alarm went off three times who know why. nobody said anything or explain why. bathroom was horrible. rather just take a quick trip to McDonald’s until they get new staff that take care off the place or better flavor food again.

Went to eat with myself and my lil ones. We enjoy some of the food as always chicken is great mash potatoes good but personally I would like to see better quality food here now, step up your game Hometown Buffet add some ribs or Chinese food or even some cheese burgers… I mean your prices are high as it is I think we should have more options here. Oh and cake was dry but I like the pot pies u added but please be careful I found a piece of rubber or something inside mine… not good.

Really friendly employees good value for the money lots of breakfast options. The coffee is really good as well. Very clean only deduction is for the bathrooms which were clean but old sewer smelly…

Wow Hometown buffet has really gone downhill. I don’t think anyone comes here for gourmet food. The waitresses were very nice and the food was constantly filled. The problem I had with the buffet was variety. They now have a very limited entrée choice. They’re only so many side dishes you can eat! What happened to the pot roast, the meatloaf, the sliders? I went during lunch but all they really had was fried chicken and roasted chicken. They had a pan of smoked sausages but that’s a poor substitute for the meat entrees’. I know times are tough but I rather pay more for a better selection. I know this can’t be a consistence. The Hometown buffet in Victorville was just as bad. I was hoping it was only Victorville but it looks like all hometown buffet are going downhill.

We left almost as soon as we got there. My daughter and I went to the bathroom to wash up, and even the doors to the stalls were covered in dirt! Trash was strewn all over everywhere, and even flowed out into the hallway leading to the eating area. When I approached my husband, he told ME that he wanted to leave because of the look of the buffet(and he was the one that insisted on going there in the first place!) We got a refund, and high-tailed it out of there… This place LITERALLY needs to clean up their act! We can only imagine what the kitchen looked like(and prefer not to, for the sake of our stomachs). If you decide to eat there, we suggest you check out the bathrooms first — It is said that the bathroom shows you how well a restaurant keeps their kitchen… I don’t doubt it at all. Good luck!

Very basic«american style» food… definitely not worth the price. I would’ve rather went to soup plantation. the Mac and cheese was cold. the fried chicken is good that’s about it though. The cheese ravioli had obviously been sitting out for a while because it was all crusty. and they barely have any food description tags on the foods which is a big deal because I am highly allergic to pork and only a few things were labeled. very disappointing!

It’s hometown buffet… If anyone has been to one then you’ve been to them all! The same food at all locations except this one has steak which I’ve never seen at any of the others I’ve been to. It was fresh and they grill it where you can see it and get it cooked how you like. The overall quality of food is alright, I’ve never gotten sick so that’s a plus lol. Thursdays are family fun nights, my kids had so much fun, there’s fresh spun cotton candy and a clown that does balloon animals and face painting for tips. If my kids eat then I’m happy:)

The 4 stars are more for the service then the food. I’m not sure when this location opened, but the décor is super nice compared to my hometown in my hometown. ;) the food is the same as all hometowns, but I was sad to see so much steam coming from the steam tables when all of my food was lukewarm to cold. The ice cream machines also made farting noises and weren’t filled with the necessary ingredients to make more, and I visited shortly after it had opened for the day. Exceptional service though compared to other hometowns, and that made me quite satisfied. Make sure to text and sign up for the crave connection for coupons!

Staff — Great people. Food — Good enough for the price you pay. Steaks sometime can be good and not too good. Depends on who is behind the grill. First and second time I ate at this place, steak was awesome. Third time I came in, different person, and didn’t taste very good. I think it wasn’t seasoned generously. Drink — Typical soda fountain drinks for extra charge. Cups look old though. Personally, I would not drink without a straw. Everytime I was there, people had to wait for food from the grill. In my opinion, it should be staffed with at least two people. One assigned to grill steaks, and the other to prepare Mongolian. Just one person manning the station is not a good idea.

Came to this location for the first time after the one in Lancaster closed down. I was not too pleased though; a lot of the food was cold and the food options were not as good compared to 2 – 3 years ago. Like others have said, you see mostly younger or older aged people so it may not be the best location for a family night or business meeting. I used to love Hometown when I was young and always went with my family, but for the price you pay now and the fact that the food quality has lowered over the years, I do not recommend it.

I’ve been to other Hometown Buffets before and this one in Palmdale is the worse. The food sucks. The salad bar had no lettuce and no Ranch dressing. The chicken didn’t taste good. The mashed potatoes were gross. The bread rolls were hard. I will never come back to this particular Hometown Buffet. Greatly disappointed. ETA: My original review was for the Hometown Buffet in The San Gabriel Valley. I recently went to the HTB in Palmdale(in the same shopping center the Home Depot) is in). The food was bad, as in it didn’t taste good. Salad bar was low on items. None of the other food I ate was delicious. None of it.
