This review is not for the local service company ~ this is specifically for the After installation experiences we have endured from the personnel at the toll free number for technical support. Customer service is not what this company is interested in. It is well worth not having this«service» at any cost. We have not had it for a month as yet and will be researching the cancellation cost to get another TV or internet service. Any other service which does not freeze up at night, has personnel to help you 24 – 7,and has customer service. The experience I am having is not with the local company but the 800number for which you must call for technical support.

First, in Hawaii, where we use Direct tv, a guest injured themselves on the huge satellite dish they provide. After 8 years of the same dish, and paying for upgraded equipment, I requested that they replace the satellite dish due to rust and, we’ve been having problems with reception for the satellite box. they want me to hire someone to be at the house so they can run diagnostic tests. It’s not a matter of running tests, it’s a matter of replacing old worn out equipment. The presidents office was very un business like said my property manger Winston. Next. I had ordered direct tv for my home here in LA and told them up front that I had a guest house 250 feet away. They said, and it’s recorded, that they’d ad a second satellite dish on my guest house at no expense. Then, double checking, they decided to either run an above ground external cable or charge me for the dish. Unacceptable. The supervisor was extremely rude and uncaring. Next. I asked for a price at the end of one year and received double talk. I cancelled my order with Direct tv and I hope they will one day understand that the customer comes first. I will continue service with Time Warner or look into Dish. But my direct tv experience was horrible. As a lighting tech in LA I would tell my union brothers and sisters to avoid Direct TV.
