I used this law firm a couple of times and both times have been great. Eviction was fast and easy without any nasty lawsuits. They will work hard for you not to go to court and waste more money and time. I highly recommend them for your eviction needs.

These people were very unprofessional and rude. They hang up on me without explaining the reason for service refusal. They looked at me like a bag of money. I felt like trash after done calling them. I even opened an account to express how I feel.
AVOID THEM AT ALL COST!

As a landlord with many properties I was referred to this office after my long time attorney passed away. I was very nervous to switch to a new attorney. Nicole handled my first eviction and was professional and thorough. The tenant was evicted right away and the house was turned back over to us within 60 days. I was thrilled. The attorney that represented us in court was organized and quick. I was impressed.
I recently had to call this office again for help with a tenant based legal problem that I was concerned to handle. Nicole took my call immediately and offered a resolution to my problem. Because of her knowledge I chose to have her handle the problem completely to protect us if there is a future legal issue with the tenant. The fee that they charged was fair and lower then I expected. Thanks Nicole!
Eviction and tenant problems are a very tricky and complex problem. I trust this law office with all my rental legal problems.

I called and the person who answered the phone was not forthwith. Didn’t understand her name and asked for it twice. Still didn’t get her name. Explained my need on eviction and she didn’t understand every time I stated the need she asked the question over. She put me on hold and told me the person I needed to speak with was not available. That is Nichole. I asked who Mallory was and she said Mallory no longer works there. Based on the reviews and my initial call. I am passing.

This is the worse firm to work with — inefficient and unprofessional staff. My agent requested they start eviction, a lady named Nicole called me to get my CC to charge me for the 3-​day notice. Notice was NEVER MADE. We ask them to start the eviction process as tenant did not pay, asked for a copy of the Notice and Nicole refuses to provide it to my agent. She REFUSED my phone calls, and would not call me back. I threaten to challenge the CC charge with my bank if I don’t get the owner and/​or manager to call me back. A Charles calls me and tells me they will refund the money to my agent (I paid on my CC not the agent’s) and they don’t want to handle the eviction. He admits they made a mistake and never sent the 3-​day notice, but was also rude about it. He had a ‘so what’ attitude. They would have never refunded me the money if I had not demanded proof of the Notice. How unethical and unprofessional for a law firm! Now I wasted 2 weeks and have to start the process all over again. Tenant owes 1 ½ months of rent. Don’t work with these people. Read the negative reviews and you’ll see the same thing — they are unprofessional.
To the ones who had a good experience years ago, with Mallory, it was probably her and not the firm who was good. Believe she is no longer with the firm; so you won’t get that kind of service ever again. Nicole is terrible — arguing with my agent rather than admitting that she made a mistake; refusing to take my calls once she found out who I was. My agent and her firm will certainly never deal with them again!

hello all, mallory grant has succeeded again as this one was an evasive tenant. it is so nice that we do not have to do anything as they will even serve the 3 day too. using mallory removes this stress and then we move on, fix it up, etc. we have used her for years and it is always a sucess story.

Cool experience, you guys rock! From the time I walk in. And yes sometimes a little push is very necessary, and I like the way you push.

We had the worst of tenants anyone could imagine. They destroyed the house and did not pay rent for three years. Another company we had hired to help us messed up several times and we were in a bind. Charlston Weeks helped us get them out in six weeks, even when they wouldn’t open the door for the Sheriff. Then we even got a judgment against them. Thank you, Charlston Weeks, especially thanks to Mallory, for an outstanding job!

Total rip off! We used this company to evict our tenants and they got evicted but the lawyer didn’t get a money judgment!!! That means that we can’t sue for the back rent on the primary wage earner!!! A HUGE over site! They won’t return our calls. We absolutely do NOT recommend. We got the tenants out but can’t go after them for what they owe us because our attorney was too dumb to get a money judgment. NEVER use this company. Unbelievable. This was our first eviction. The attorney was also asking for the wrong amount (we got a judgment on one person, not the other who is the primary wage earner) we had to stop him and show him how to do the math! He almost cost us more than we were paying him. Unbelievably incompetent. Call around and get a better company.

My wife and I hired James Charlton to help us compile and make legal a new living trust. The Charlton Weeks law firm is not cheap, but you get what you pay for. James (and he prefers relating on a first name basis, which I like) went to a lot of trouble locating and making sure all the paperwork was correct to transfer some oil royalty property rights into our trust. We really like the flat rate fee for compiling the trust and the fact that we can talk with James and even change or add to our trust without any additional charges. We have found James and his office staff very easy to work with and highly recommend them. We gave some thought to using forms from Legal Zoom and doing the trust ourselves. But now that we see how difficult and complicated getting everything worked out to add our oil royalties and other items into our trust, we are so very glad that we went with Charlton Weeks LLP.

Always friendly and available when you need answers to legal questions. James was there to answer my questions when my husband passed away.

I’m a retired lawyer, so you can imaging how picky I am when I have to hire an attorney. I have so much respect for this law firm that when my folks needed to update their revocable trust, I drove them from the San Fernando Valley to Palmdale. James Charlton found holes in the original trust and revised the entire document. I couldn’t be more satisfied. On top of that, these are really nice people, when you’re not on the other side of a lawsuit. And that’s a huge compliment.

I contacted charlton weeks after having a bad experiance with another firm. I first delt with Mallory and she was direct and to the point. I then spoke with two of the attorneys there Brad and James which took my case and got my lawsuit handled. Now that it is all said and done I couldn’t be happier with the results. Been using them for evictions and other legal services for about 10 years. I will tell you after doing a ton of evictions, you can’t find a company that does a better job. They are quick, efficient, honest, and reasonable. My calls and emails are always answered and I get good honest legal advice on a variety of issue’s I may encounter (they specialize in a ton of different legal area’s). The company has been around for a while and their new office is beautiful. My parent’s have used them, now I do, and who knows maybe my kids will use them one day. They have a staff of good attorney’s, try them out you can’t go wrong.

This was by far the worst experience I have ever had with an attorney in my life. I have quite a few properties and have worked with many different attorneys practicing all sorts of law. We had hired them to evict a tenant who had not paid rent in some time. First of all they put the case in our property manager’s personal name rather then ours (the actual property owner!). This put us in a bad position as when we asked them to correct it we would have had to start the whole process over again from scratch ultimately costing us more time and money already lost. Second they created a deal with the tenants to avoid a jury trial, to actually pay the tenants to leave the property! Even though the tenants had not paid in a couple months! It was crazy. We never authorized this and were mad as hell about this. All they where supposed to do was show up to the initial hearing and set a trial date so we could fight the tenants scam they have going using jury trails to extend the time in the property while they don’t pay. We where out of the country at the time and had left them and the property manager these simple instructions to set a trial date as we would fight it ourselves. But they did not do this and instead set up an agreement to pay them to leave! Then we asked to see the agreement they set up with out our permission, they sent us a temple document with our case number entered and wrong dates! It wasn’t even signed. It was because of the fact the case was in another persons name we where told we would have to withdraw the entire case and start over costing us double in the fees we had already paid! So we where essentially forced into paying money that we never had authorized or agreed to because they decided we should. We had to send my wife back and forth to their office because of miss information by their rude Para legal. In addition to all of the debacles we caught them in several inaccuracies of their statements and accounts to us. While speaking to their arrogant owner James he hung the phone up on us several times as we where asking questions. If he get’s frustrated he simply hangs up the phone on you. This had happened at least 5 times before I told him I was going to the State Bar. He goes on and on about how he makes no money on evictions and tells nonsense stories about why milk is sold at the back of stores in an attempt to evade any responsibility from the mistakes they had made. Rather then providing any type of good service they simply took the money and left us high and dry. Totally UN professional and rude. We actually seriously felt that they where working with the tenant and not us (the one who hired them to evict these squatters!) I would never recommend this firm to anyone.
