i’ve only been to this store a few times but today i went and it was all bad, i see it a lot in most 99 cent stores but today was not good. what happens is the store puts out certain things on certain day according to what the truck brings but in stead of limiting the amt of items people get so that others may have a chance to get some if they so choose, first they dam near knock you down to get in that’s what really pisses me off then when they get in the hog the stuff and pass them out to their friends. fair is fair and when you come across an item you get what you want and let someone else get some but today people almost went to blows because one lady decided she want to get hers take another box of this stuff and hold it under her arm as she passed out the other box to her friends not letting anyone else standing there get a chance to get any. and yes this lady was hispanic and it happens all the time. they go thru the line and pas it out to only hispanics and pass over anyone else in the line. the food or what ever it is is not worth fighting over but it is just the principle of it. not all of them do it but a lot do and it’s wrong and makes you want to knock a few out then they want to talk shit to you in spanish, if you want to talk shit to me talk in english so i can know what the hell you are saying. and of course no one in the store says anything because it is ran by spanish people. and im sure they are either sending it to mexico or selling it. i feel if there is enough they should all be limited to 2 per customer until everyone has had a chance to get some you shouldn’t have to knock one another down to get thing from a store. this is the palmdale blvd store on the east side and the one on e ave j is the same way i have seen people almost come to blows over this greediness and rudeness

You can buy a weeks worth of groceries for $ 20 but the lines are always really long and they do it on purpose. As soon as they see the lines starting to get short they close a register and they won’t open a new one until the lines are at least three people into the aisles.

I love this store!!! I buy my fruit there for cheap! Anything you need I’m sure they have. One problem I do have is some of the cashiers are freakin rude! Idk if they are just trying to be cute but they are quiet the whole time don’t even say hi. The ones that are mostly friendly Everytime I’ve been there are two African American cashiers. They are really nice. There’s one cashier in particular that’s ALWAYS rude. Her name is lizbeth. Omggggg sometimes I just wanna tell her«are u okay?» Doesn’t greet us doesn’t tell us to have a nice day. Live a little girlfriend sheeshhhh. So manager if you are reading this, please check her and tell her to open her mouth once in a while. Besides that, AWESOMESTORE :)

Who doesn’t love a bargain? I know I sure do and I save quite a bit of money by shopping at $.99 and $ 1 stores. On a recent trip through the Palmdale area I realized I’d forgotten to pack my glasses; now this might not seem like a big deal, but I can’t read texts or email or navigate using the GPS on my iphone without it and I was planning to be out of town for an entire weekend so it was going to become very inconvenient eventually. It’s probably a little known fact, but you can pick up some pretty cute reading glasses here for only $.99. They work just as well as the ones that cost $ 10-$ 15 at a drug store but at a mere fraction of the cost. I picked up several pairs in case I lost one. The 99 Cent Only store also carries quite a few name brand candies and snacks such as Skittles, M&Ms, Spree, Hot Tamales, Lemonheads, Good & Plenty, Mike & Ike, Baby Ruth, Sugar Baby and more so it occurred to me I might need some road snacks. They also have a refrigerated case full of plastic bottles of cold soda. The same size bottle that will usually cost me $ 1.75 to buy cold at convenience stores. Pretty good deal, eh? This is also a great place to pick up toiletries such as shampoo, hand lotion, toothpaste, mouthwash, nearly anything you’ve forgotten to pack for your trip. Planning a party? You can find paper plates and cups, plastic forks, balloons, decorations, cards, gift bags, wrapping supplies, you name it. Pet supplies? Yep. Baby supplies? You betcha. The cleaning supplies section is well stocked with everything you need to clean everything in your house. Setting up your first apartment on your own or furnishing a dorm room? You can find real plates, bowls, dishes, silverware, kitchen gadgets and more. The 99 Cent Only store also carries food, canned, boxed, refrigerated, and even fresh produce. This store, however, had an entire section that was a first for me — a Gourmet & Organic Foods section. I kid you not. I even took a picture of it since I knew my friends would never believe me. So if you’re trying to make your budget stretch just a little bit farther, try visiting the 99 Cent Only store and see what you can pick up on the cheap! On a side note, the people here are very friendly. I stopped to change the bulb on one of my headlights while I was in the parking lot and a gentleman in the car next to me came over and offered to help. Now, I’m an independent kind of gal and didn’t actually need the help, but he offered so nicely who was I to refuse. Even the transient who walked up and asked for money did so ever so politely and maintained a respectful distance as he asked(you don’t just walk right up on a single female alone in a parking lot) so I just had to give him some money. Friendly place, this parking lot.

Very very slow service least a hundred people in the store and only two cashiers if you’re on a budget it’s the way to go
