World Gym of Palm Springs

I don’t think they will ever get it here. I checked in the other day. A guy named Dan sold me a towel. I said thank you, no response. I watched as two guys entered and left the gym and both said thank you. Again no response from this Dan guy. Is you’re welcome really that hard to say? It just makes the experience so much nicer when staff is polite and not even saying you’re welcome when customers say thank you is just rude. I just don’t think the people that work at this gym will ever get their heads around that.

Friendly staff. Family atmosphere… like that they allow for trial n guest n package prices based on visits… yeah old style 60s n 70s bodybuilding posters are neat… also found couple friends were there today… neat place. Convenient parking… could use a stronger AC a bit…

Overall it’s an okay gym. What keeps me loyal to coming for almost 2 years are the familiar faces and the friendly staff. Other than that, it’s currently not a very good value for the premium that you pay for a membership. I am in no way wanting to deter prospects from joining after reading this, merely pointing out a few improvements that I hope management will take into consideration.
Pros:
The gym floor and equipment is kept relatively clean. There is always someone walking around before closing emptying the trash, re-​racking the weights, stocking up the paper towels, and making sure the floors are clean.
Staff is courteous and pleasant to talk to. Peter and Nick stand out as they are the ones that are usually working when I go.
Cons:
First off, a gym should be cool and refreshing so that you aren’t dripping wet like after a session of Bikram yoga. I feel like I’ve already worked out as soon as I walk in and he door. It’s hot! …all the time! The thermostats are set to 78 midday in the summer (but the temperature actually doesn’t dip below 81) and that just doesn’t cut it when a large group of people are working out together.
