West Coast Auto Collision

I would like to say that Mark, Luke and the crew over at West Coat Auto Collision are awesome! My brand new 2016 vehicle was in an accident and it took almost 3 months for it to be repaired, I began to get a bit impatient but the fellas were so patient with me and made sure to keep me informed every step of the way. I picked my car up from them yesterday and I must say they did an AMAZING job!!! My car is back to looking and feeling brand new again. Thank you guys for all your hard work and patience. You guys ROCK!!!

Great place to get your car fixed I don’t don’t many with my Mercedes so for me to put a review out on it you know it’s a great shop. Mark is the owner and he is very hands on with his clients and everyone in the shop are very sweet and know what their doing!

I was a little skeptical to come here because of the reviews but I had no choice, so, all I could do was cross my fingers. They’re actually good people with good service. Luke and cathy were always pleasant over the phone every time I called. There’s nothing worse that getting rude service. Love palm springs and their people :)

Got t boned in a 2015 Subaru Wrx and brought it here through my insurance. Friendly staff and mark the owner was very pleasant to work with. Got my car back shortly after and I couldn’t be more than happy with the end results. They have a very skilled staff and mark does pay attention to every little detail on the repair. Will refer anyone to this place and will come back for any future work on my cars. Great job guys! Car looks brand new again!

They had my car for about 3 months to fix damage from a rock going through my window. 3 months for a rock!!!
Replacements needed:
1) Driver’s Window
2) Steering Wheel (The inner part where the vehicle logo is and the outer ring you hold onto when steering)
3) Inner door panel on the driver’s side
First, they didn’t replace the inner portion of the steering wheel claiming I didn’t use the right term to describe the part during the estimation phase. I pointed to the damage, the estimator took note, but still didn’t fix it. Based on the explanation for why the repair wasn’t completed, when your car is damaged, you automatically are supposed to become a professional vehicle damage estimator and know the correct terminology for every single part within the car that you may need fixed.
They kept the car another insanely long period of time to fix what they were supposed to originally. Went to pick up the car again and give a better inspection.
1) They damaged my door lock and door handle on the outside in an attempt to pry it off when replacing the window and attaching the inner door panel.
2) They damaged the actual mechanics within the door lock making it nearly impossible to close, open, and lock the door (the car was only 1 year old and worked perfectly when it went in). If I had needed to escape my car quickly in an emergency, I would have been locked in due to their negligence and damage to my car.
3) They didn’t connect the speakers in the door when they replaced the inner door panel.
4) They didn’t re-​program the windows to roll down with one button push as they always did. Their response? «How are we supposed to know there is a computer in there?» Well, West Coast Auto Collision, THAT WOULD BE YOUR EFFING JOB TO KNOW THAT SORT OF THING.
5) There was still glass all over the inside of the car.
6) They damaged my turbo boost gauge mounted to the steering column.
Here are 3 of the images requested by my insurance company to detail the damage West Coast did to my car:
I was told to take the car off their hands and leave the shop. I did.
I contacted my insurance company who ended up agreeing to me paying a $ 0 deductible because of how horribly unprofessional West Coast Collision was, and also informed us they would pursue legal action against the shop.
I ended up having to take the car to another collision shop to fix what West Coast Collision had damaged, costing my insurance company even more and leaving me without a car for even longer.
This place is horrible beyond belief. Avoid at all costs. If your insurance company recommends this place, ask if you can take your vehicle somewhere else.

I noticed in the filtered reviews that an employee has claimed they never worked on my car. Too bad they can’t acknowledge an issue and resolve it rather than brushing me off as a liar. This place is awful and I just don’t want to see anyone ripped off like I was.

Bob of West Coast has replied below stating again that I was never a customer. Bob, you have to realize, before calling someone a liar, that you’d have to determine a motive for them to lie. Other Unilocalers looking at your page and my review are going to realize that I have no motive to leave a bad review unless my experience with you was terrible. Here’s a protip– when a customer has an issue, do your best to resolve it rather than calling them a liar. You’re digging yourself into a hole you’re not going to be able to exit.

«Wow I think it’s you just must be board with life. If you have to keep posting on this site. For one who would leave their car at a place that long. Then if you were being told all that stuff was wrong and you knew there was no way why wouldn’t you take action then or at least take the car somewhere else at that point. Hmmmmm makes a person wonder maybe your just board with life and like causing problems for other people.»
