What a wonderful experience my husband and I had with Judith and Bunnie. They took exceptional care of us insuring that we found the perfect vacation home for our family vacation.
They are the best!

Completely disappointed in the customer service of Vacation Palm Springs.
I attempted to book one of their homes on Air BnB, at the time I requested the house was $ 360 a night plus cleaning & sevice, once I requested the booking they jacked the price up to $ 430 a night plus cleaning & service. When I asked they why they switched it they told me that «We are adjusting prices so when you sent the new booking it included the new rate.» BS, you raised the price when I requested the booking. Instead of addressing this issue with me or honoring the original price they offered they just denied me the booking and ignored me. Not good customer service at all. Bumming since that was my favorite summer rental I had found to date.

This company deserves a negative star.
The worst experience I’ve ever had with renting a home. The home was NOTHING like advertised and then received an email after my stay saying that my $ 750 damage deposit was being sent because we used all the towels in the house (um isn’t that what the towels are there for? To be used when needed!!!) & «overheated the pool» plus more that was complete bogus.
–_​_​_​– Spoke to Jerry who happens to be the property manager for this company and he was nothing close to pleasant. I will never EVER rent from this company again and I recommended you don’t either. Save yourself a headache and a weeks worth of back & forth phone calls.
We rented a house that claimed it had a heated pool and jacuzzi. The jacuzzi was completely empty (no water) and the pool was full of leaves and hadn’t been cleaned in months!!! We called a property manager whose name was Scott and when he arrived he claimed that we’d get a partial money back for the inconvenience but we never did. Instead came back home with an email from Jerry saying we damaged the pool and left the pool heater on WHEN THE POOL HEATER DIDN’T EVER WORK! The pool cleaner barely came late afternoon on our 2^nd day of stay. I get so damn angry when I think about this house and my experience with this company. Complete fraud.

Great 2^nd experience. I used Vacation Palm Springs twice and they are wonderful! So helpful and accommodating! Our family had a great time. We will be using them a 3^rd time.

After booking with them for many years and having great experiences. This year was the first time since they got bought out by another company. They lost my booking so I arrived with no place to go. They put me in another place that didn’t have all the amenities of the one I had booked plus I had to wait until 5pm before we could go in because it wasn’t clean. They kept saying they would make it up to me. Didn’t happen. Still have not gotten my refund check. They need to get their act together before I would ever consider them again.

Highly recommended! The rental agency made it so easy to find the perfect house and get all paperwork done well before our trip so that when we arrived, all we had to do was open a lock box. We went this past weekend for Coachella and the home was spacious and clean. Only downfall was the crazy high winds all weekend so we couldn’t enjoy the pool as often as we had hoped to, but luckily the backyard had a firepit so we were still able to enjoy the outdoors. Definitely using this rental agency next time I come to Palm Springs. Thanks guys!

This is my third booking with Vacation Palm Springs — they’re THE BEST!
They made it soooo easy — booking, giving directions, answering questions and when at the very last minute we just couldn’t leave — Jerry gave us a late checkout which added to our enjoyment of the weekend.
The property was clean and exactly as the description and photos on the website presented it to be. We’ll be back for sure.

Made it so easy to find a place to have a girls getaway for a bachelorette party. Easy to use, friendly staff, had no problems with the rental. I will use them again!

This is a great company! I made the mistake of trying to book a Palm Springs house through private party, and when it fell through at the last minute, Vacation Palm Springs was there to quickly get us in to a great rental home in Cathedral City. Even though this was a last minute travel plan the price was very reasonable, and we had no issues with check in or check out.
I would absolutely recommend VPS to anyone looking for a Palm Springs rental. They will also be my first call when making travel plans next year.

I entered a contract with this company back on Feb. 8^th on The Alex House; I received an email from Ashley telling me that the home is «no longer in our inventory» so they are unable to honor my contract. They offered me other homes but we ultimately decided not to move forward. They took my deposit for The Alex House $ 485 but have failed to credit my account. I have sent THREE email messages and no response — they were very communicative with me when I was interested in renting a home from them, but as soon as I cancelled the contract… silence.
This company is unscrupulous in their business practice and unethical — stay away from them. There are plenty of other rental companies that service the Palm Springs area that are far better to deal with.
The fact that they would hold my deposit after THEY cancelled the contract on me is unethical. I have contacted my credit card company to dispute the charge but I should not have to do this.
Do yourself a favor and stay away from using this company for your Palm Springs rental needs.

GREAT company! We just got back from our stay at «The Cliff House» and it was amazing! Easy to book, the key was on site, it was SIMPLE! Karen was a GREAT Rep! She was very personable and helped us out when we had questions.
I would absolutely recommend VPS to a friend and will totally use them again!

We booked a rental through them just last week. It was a terrible experience.
After a couple of hours of checking in we found out that one of the water heaters was broken so there was no hot water in two of the four bathrooms. The maintenance guy showed up and tried to fix the heater but nothing happened. Later on he called us and told us that the repair guy will show up on early saturday morning to fix the issue. I was up by 7 am just to make sure we dont miss this guy. No one called or showed up. I called them up at noon and Christy told me quite bluntly that the water heater cant be fixed and that I’ll compensated $ 250. After much arguing she agreed to compensate me $ 250 for the friday night and promised to have the heater fixed by late evening. I also asked her to call me before the repairguy shows up. Yet again they never bothered calling. At 6 pm the repairguy knocked on the front door and informed us that the heater has been fixed and then he took off. We went outside to check up on the heater and it was still dead. I just got off the phone with them and they only want to reimburse $ 250 for friday night. They refuse to take any responsibility for the broken water heater and their lack of client service.
Also…the tap for the hot water in the main bathroom sink was broken and they just chose to ignore it.

Not Worth Your Money!
We are staying in the «Hollywood Celebrity Estate» and though this place is huge, it is more than somewhat underwhelming. I don’t expect everything to be perfect, but when you charge $ 1600 per night it better be close.
We have had a lot of issues with things being broken or not working properly (ie. Refrigerator that can’t stay cold, freezer that won’t make ice, doors that won’t close all the way and let in the outside heat, bathrooms without towel hooks or racks, lights that don’t work, BBQ burners that don’t work, and pool umbrellas that won’t open).
But the biggest concerns and frustrations have been with cleanliness. There is an absurd amount of bugs (dead and alive) inside and outside the house, and we have now found mice and their droppings in the kitchen (Very Gross and NOT ok at all). Along with that, the AC has been smelling like mold and mildew when it comes on (that can’t be safe).
We let the rental agency know about all this within 24 hours of our arrival. We were told it would be fixed that day. It is now 2 days later and we haven’t seen or heard back from anyone.
We are here for 2 more days and I will update this if they ever come fix it or if they read my review and decide to try and make things right. But at this point I would never use Vacation Palm Springs ever again and my recommendation to you is to stay away from them. I hope this helps someone.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND Vacation Palm Springs! Especially the Poseidon House if you’re a large party of 10! Everything was perfection.
We had friendly service from the very beginning research phase, to signing contracts, to questions before the big weekend, and finally onsite service with a smile the entire weekend.
The team is wonderful! We had a few issues with the house like air conditioning and not knowing how to use the bbq, and the team was right over to help us out and fix any problem with urgency.
The house was BEAUTIFUL, clean, decorated gorgeous, spacious, private, and in the best location.
I cant wait for my next vacation to Palm Springs. I will always & forever book with Vacation Palm Springs.

HIDDEN CAMERA IN THE BATHROOM

So my girlfriend and I booked a house (named CITRUS TWIST) to celebrate her bday with a group of friends for the weekend. We were excited as the homes seemed nice at a reasonable price off the website.
Just as a heads up, we are very easy-​going people when it comes to dealing with unexpected problems. We also abided by all of their rules and so if any company representatives respond to this review saying that they tried to «work with us», it’s most likely not true.
— – SILKWORMS — -
Now, going straight into it. As soon as we got there, we found that the place contained silkworms ALL over the house. There were dead and alive ones in the hallway, bedrooms, AND the pool. There was even a spot where it looked like blood had smeared on the floor from one of them dying on the floor.
So we called for customer service (talked to Christie) from VPS. She sounded concerned and was willing to adhere to our matter. Her explanation was that it was leaf-​trimming season and that these worms tend to get scattered everywhere. It was also very hot so the worms tend to try to find a cooler place to settle. My thinking was that if they were aware of these seasonal things happening, then why didn’t they bother to check the place out prior to our arrival? Regardless, we didn’t want to create much commotion and tried to stay positive about the situation. She said she’d call a pool cleaning service and pest control to have it checked out.
Hours pass by as my gf and I were CLEANING the place since the place itself came relatively dirty. No pool cleaning service. So I call the number back and Christie tells me they were supposed to come by 7pm. 745 comes around and still no cleaning service nor phone call. I call again. This time, a guy named Adrian picks up. Said he was going to call the pool service people to ask about their whereabouts. 30 mins pass by and no phone call. I call him back and he said he was waiting on the pool service to call him back. Long story short, I received no phone call back throughout the rest of the weekend about the pool cleaning service/​pest control they promised us. My friends and I ended up cleaning the pool ourselves trying to get all of the leaves and silkworms out of the pool for us to enjoy the weekend.

After forgetting about the whole silkworm deal, we ended up still doing our best to enjoy our the rest of our time. Suddenly on our last night there, as one of our friends was showering, she accidentally knocked down a decorative piece that was sitting on top of the toilet. The piece was an open box that had black stars on it with pine cones in the box. After knocking it down, she then realized there was a device in there. IT TURNED OUT TO BE A SPY CAMERA CONNECTED TO A PORTABLE CHARGER FACING THE SHOWER.
The miniature camera was placed precisely under the pine cones in the specific spot with Velcro pieces on the box and camera. It was placed precisely where one of the black stars on the outer side of the box had a hole cut through for the camera to see through and face the shower. I AM GOING TO POST PHOTOS OF THIS ON THE Unilocal PAGE.
We were all in COMPLETE SHOCK. Feeling violated, disgusted, and outraged, we had to end the night/​weekend with an unsettling and disgusted taste in our mouths. It is a violation and invasion of our privacy! My girlfriend, who’s birthday we were celebrating, ended her celebration with tears running down her face. This was completely UNACCEPTABLE.
We discovered the camera quite late at night, so we decided that we’d just go and complain straight-​up and in person at the VPS office as soon as we checked out (10AM) the next morning.
We got there and ended up speaking to two of the property managers, Britt and Jerry. Worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. My girlfriend rightfully complained out of anger to them telling the story, but still in a rightful and reasonable manner. We requested that we be compensated for the trauma and ILLEGAL things that we had experience from staying in the house. We gave them every possible reason to prove that there was nothing right about this situatio on their end. Jerry at one point even acknowledged that my gf’s reasonings were all rightful by saying «damn, you’re good at this.» That is, her presenting her arguments.
In the end, these people showed absolutely 0 interest in trying to help understand our situation and make us feel better. All they cared about was how we had a contract and that there was nothing they could do. We stood there for a good half hour going back and forth to show how disturbed we were yet, they were unwilling to do anything.
WE WILL NEVER SUPPORT THIS COMPANY EVER AGAIN. And after experiencing something like we did, I don’t think anyone should. It’s just horrible and unacceptable and I would not want anyone to experience what we went through.

We stayed in the Foothill Cove Contemporary and it is an outstanding vacation rental. The layout is open with an incredible view of the canyon hills right out back. The neighbors are friendly and the neighborhood is beautiful. This private retreat is a great getaway and wonderful place to enjoy your time in the desert. My family and my dogs love this place. We will definitely be back!

Love Vacation Palm Springs! Everyone is professional and kind. Booking process is simple, and the home managers are so helpful. If anything goes wrong, they come right over and fix it!

I am not going back to this place!!! (Foothill Cove in Cathedral City)
The neighbors around this property are a**holes!!! They will do everything to ruin your vacation. They will call vps/​security to complain you for being loud! I have no idea if what kind of noise did we do and they decided to kicked us out!!!
And the funny part is the VPS did not believe us!!! They don’t even care about their customers!!! They should do something about it to solve the situation!!! Oh yes they did! We’ve been evicted!!! That’s how they resolve the problem.
We will not trust VPS again!!! It’s a horrible experience to deal with these people!!! They deserve a ZERO rating.

I rented the Francis House and the property was horrible and Vacation Palm Springs was a nightmare to deal with.
The Darkness
The Francis House is crazy dark! The pix on the site are extremely misleading. They must have brought in some industrial lighting and edited the hell out of the pix to get the house looking bright. There is literally not a white wall in the entire house. The exterior is brown. The interior is brown. The effect is unsettling. The guest bedrooms have tiny, high windows with small, dim lamps and are especially dark.
The Dirtiness
Floors: Immediately upon arriving, my mother noticed the floors were dirty. She wiped at the floor and, alarmed at the amount of dirt she had collected on a paper towel, ran for the vacuum.
Pool: The pool was filthy. I don’t mean bugs and leaves. I get it, it’s windy and shit falls in the pool. By filthy, I mean the bottom of the pool looked like it hadn’t been vacuumed in a year. There was black grime on the sides of the pool that I literally could rub off with my finger (see my before/​after pic). If I can clean tile with my finger, can’t the pool guys do better? With cleaning chemicals and such? When I called to complain about the pool, Tony came out, surveyed the pool, and told us that it had actually been cleaned a day earlier. By «cleaned» I think he meant «skimmed off the top». The next day 2 pool guys came over to survey the pool for 30 seconds and basically said «What’s wrong with it? It’s clean!» and left.
The Broken-​ness
The guest bathroom showerhead was broken. There wasn’t a spray of water so much as a vertical dribble and it was impossible to shower. Tony trekked out to the house again at 9:30pm, only to tell us it was busted and would be the owner’s job to replace it. That meant we were down to 1 shower for 4 people.
The master bathroom sinks were also busted and only had hot water. HOT, not warm. Tony tried to fix this but couldn’t. Well, to make up for it, there wasn’t enough hot water for 4 people to shower so I had to take a cold one. At least I got to cool off my face and mouth from the hot sink water!
The exterior lights and speakers? Busted! Bedroom lamps? Broken! Etc, etc.

The Sadness
Kitchen: As far as the advertised «fully stocked [kitchen] with tools for cooking, baking, and cocktail hour», there was not a single wine glass in sight. 4 martini glasses? Absolutely! 13 shot glasses? Party on! 1 wine glass to drink some wine? Get out of here, snob.
Landscaping: I know it is summer and California is going through a drought but don’t advertise photos of lush grass on your property when it’s all dead.
Patio: The patio furniture with red cushions in the pix? Well, it might have been red once, maybe in 2008. They’re pink now. The patio misters reach an approximately 3′ area, not across the patio. If you’re sitting directly underneath it, it’s fine. But stray too far from the 3′ and you’ll get nothing. Tony said the owner had been meaning to have the misters strung out further across the patio but hadn’t yet.
Furnishings and Décor: I like IKEA as much as the next person but Francis House is literally all IKEA furniture, décor, kitchen appliances, etc. The IKEA light fixtures even had all the stickers still on them (see pic).
Miscellaneous: Chipped paint. Shoddy patch jobs. Closet doors without floor rails. Dining table with part of the side panel ripped off.
The VPS Response
When I called VPS to complain about the broken shower and dirty pool, I was transferred to Jerry, who said no refunds, no credits, they weren’t obligated to fix anything or make sure anything was working properly, and proceeded to read this entire paragraph from the rental agreement out loud to me. Here’s an exerpt:
NO REFUNDS NO CREDITS: We want your visit to be enjoyable, comfortable and pleasant. It is understood that in renting a private vacation home or condo, there are many situations that are by nature beyond the control of the Agent, company or ownership and credits or discounts will not be granted for such. examples that are not guaranteed nor warranteed and will not warrant any refund or credit of rental monies, include, but are not limited to: failure of systems, AC or heat, pool-​spa equipment/​heater, appliances, electronics, or cable tv not working, the home’s systems or mechanical malfunctions, plumbing, internet, condition of landscaping, a neighborhood disturbance/​noise.
Literally everything could be broken in your rental home and VPS could not give a crap about it and legally don’t have to do shit. They already have your money and you aren’t getting it back!
I have rented properties through VPS in the past but it became clear to me they don’t care about their guests/​repeat guests OR their reputation. I will never rent a property from them again and neither should you. Stay at one of the hotels in Palm Springs or use another agency.
