Tuscany Manor Resort

Something very sad has happened to Tuscan Manor. We are very upset that the property has fallen into a downward spiral. The grounds are looking haggard and the group of people running the place seem disorganized and to be honest, a little bit sketchy. There seems to be an unspoken creepy vibe. We had some fantastic memories that have now been tarnished and it is a shame that the resort and traveler community will never be the same.

I give it a 4 solely based on the people. The facility is wearing down, even the managers/​workers know. It’s ashamed it will not longer be a destination for our family getaway to Palm Springs. Chris and Aaron you guys are the best!

You can’t find better for the price range! We’ve stayed here about 7 times over the past 5 years.
Pros:
— Proximity of the rooms to the pool. It’s so nice to take 10 steps out your door and be at the pool! Great when you have a bunch of little ones and all their pool toys in tow. Nice to be able to go back and forth to your room for snacks and drink refills.
— Price… seriously where can you rent a 2 bedroom with kitchen for less than $ 150 a night!?!
— The pool! Great size for such a small hotel. Nice attached wading area for the little ones. Plenty of grills, tables, lounge chairs, and pool towels for everyone.
— The kitchens… everything you need to cook your own meals, if you wish. We always cook our own meals. Partly to save money but mostly because it’s kind of a hassle to pack up four kids and take them out to eat.
— Location… close to everything! Markets, Downtown, Restaurants, Casinos, Freeway… everything is super convenient
Cons:
— I’d grade them a «C» for cleanliness of the pool and the rooms. The managers and housekeeping work their butts off but it seems like they could use another person helping out. The pool definitely needed to be skimmed every morning after the overnight winds (you’ll usually seeing a guest do it). When we we’re packing up we always look under the bed to make sure we don’t forget anything. We found someone else’s shoe, charger, and chapstick under the beds! Pretty big things to miss.
Again, considering the price, size of the rooms, convenience of the pool, kitchen, and location… it really is a great deal. We will definitely be back.

Ok, so I booked this place via Groupon. The two-​bedroom place came out to be $ 297 for two nights (one of them not a weekend) with fees, which in the end is not too cheap. I appreciate the place for the fact that it had space to lounge around and a kitchen. But overall, I do not think that I would stay here again because it was very outdated, not too clean (the maids did not even make our bed between the nights) and even though there was the kitchen, there was not even cleaning soap so we had to buy our own supplies. There is only staff there until 5pm, so make sure that if you have any issues, you take care of them before this time.
I think that this place is great if you want to take a little family getaway– there is plenty of space and accommodations for a family. But, if you are here to experience a little luxury in Palm Springs, I would opt for somewhere else.

Stayed here several times! It all depends what you are looking for. If you’re coming to party and have the amenities of a 5 star hotel, not the place for you! If you are coming for a family vacation, want to hang out by the pool or lounge in a comfy room that’s more like a home away from home, TM is for you!
You can cook in the kitchen which saves you money which is a plus. But plenty of food around if you want to go out!
The only reason I have four stars this time:
1. Neither BBQ was working
2. Went to make up the sofa bed and the extra blanket had food all over it
All in all TM is great! Oh yeah and it’s pet friendly which is awesome!

A few of my friends and spent the weekend there for my birthday back in March. Such an awesome place! Not only was the staff super friendly but the room was nice and cozy and the overall environment was so nice! Felt at home our entire stay! Definitely recommend this place to anyone planning to stay in Palm Springs!

Never will go back ! Bad service and its not what you expect.
Short story: Its not my first time staying in Tuscany Manor, I did like it to stay there.
1. I called to reserve the room with back yard in the back # 9, and then suddenly we got # 11 (on the phone they said #11 have a back yard too) but: NO back yard.
2. Kitchen was leaking (they fixed in the morning) but my friend she fell down in the kitchen at night!!! Noise air conditioner, pool is dirty (I went to office and ask if they going to clean a pool, they said… yes in 2 hour). Horribly service!
3. At evening time we had a B-​day Dinner by the pool. It was my daughter
9 B-​day. We was listening music not to loud (Iphone volume) in 5 min the guys came saying the people complains, second time he came he said he is closing the pool and you have to go to your room!!! WFT I came to have fun relax, I get out from my apartment all the way to Palm Spring and now I Have to seat in the room???
4. BAD BAD BAD !!!
DONT GO PEOPLE !
well if you want to go to nursing home then go. but if you want to have fun with KIDS never go there!!!

Not sure why Tuscany Manor has less than 4 stars! I stayed here during Coachella 2014 for weekend 1.

–2 block walk from the Rivera (cool place for drinks) where our Coachella shuttle was. 40 min bus ride to the grounds. perfect time for pregaming!

–sweet dog who follows the manager around

–loud AC, but we easily slept through it

–weak toilet (avoided throwing paper in there)

I will definitely will come back… my family and I had a great relaxing weekend. We are happy to say the royal suite is a way to go for a family of 5. Kitchen was well equipped with all the amenities. Cooked all 3 courses… Bbq at night by the pool and swimming at night was great. .will definitely come back.

You get what you paid for. Pool is small, décor is outdated, pull-​out bed is noisy and uncomfortable. The AC makes noise, but at least the room was cool. I booked this deal through living social. Of course I did not know the office closes at 5 pm, which means check-​in stops at 5 pm also. I arrived at night after driving for 4 hours, all I wanted was a room. I called the «emergency only» cell posted on a piece of paper on the door. Of course, the manager was upset that I probably disturbed her TV session, and came out with an attitude. I reminded myself that it was my mistake for not going to their website (I wouldn’t’ be surprised if they don’t have one) or calling before hand. However, I apologized for disturbing her and she continued to be rude until the last minute. I decided to take a key (a real key, not a card) and go my way. This review is to remind the manager that if a customer constantly apologizes, a little smile or a pleasant goodbye won’t hurt. However, lesson learned– cheap hotels will give you horrible service from underpaid managers.

Do not visit this place!!! They have bed bugs! Yuck!!! The second day of our stay we started noticing these rashes and had a bad itch all over our arms. We thought it was a reaction to the dirty pool but no it wasn’t now I kinda wish it was. We came back home and now 1 month later the rashes won’t go away and it’s only becoming worse the itch is horrible! So we visited a doctor and to our surprise we find out that it’s bed bug bites! We ended up spending $ 3000 to get a new mattress and another $ 1500 to get an exterminator… This hotel cost us $ 4500.00 not to mention what we have been through… We are so disgusted that even with the new mattress and with the peace of mind that the house is clean we still can’t fall asleep in fear of these blood sucking creatures returning. Oh and I should mention the loads of laundry I had to do and hiring expert house cleaners to wipe off all the toxic sprays off my walls. We have to do all this because we have two little children and imagine the amount of toys that had to be thrown away… Besides the bed bugs the hotel was dirty! There were hairballs swimming in the pool that my husband had to grab out of the poor so it wouldn’t stick to our children. The beds were dirty I saw hair in the sheets. The kitchen was dirty and someones used sponge was left there for us to remove. We would have changed hotels but it was 4^th of July weekend and it would be nearly impossible to do so… Bottom line. Never visit this hotel! I don’t like leaving bad reviews but this had to be said to save people from this terror!

I love it very nice will deff come here again just hate there work hours that is strange if you have any issues after four you are screwed. This is my new spot when coming to palm springs to stay.

We have stayed at this place only because of a group of people that we know migrate there every year during bike week. This last weekend we were gonna go again but I became ill. My wife had called in and spoke with the manager Pete who said there was no problem cancelling, But then this week my wife looks at here online account to find that we were charged. WTF??? So she calls Pete who proceeds to tell her that he checked with the person who set the whole trip up and she had said to charge us so he did. DOUBLE WTF??? what authority does this other person have to initiate charges on our accounts. What idiot would listen to a third party to a two party business transaction? Pete proceeded to tell my wife that they have a 72 hour cancellation notice but when we looked on their website it said no such thing. We paid $ 60.00 cash up front in good faith to reserve the rooms and we lost that money. Now he is tryin to charge us $ 133.00 as a cancellation fee right after he told my wife that there was no problem in cancelling. He also started saying that last year alot of people had cancelled, so thats our fault? Your taking it out on us? I dont think this is good business practice. And if you are gonna refer to your online cancellation policy then you should have one in place that details the same thing your talking about. NOT HAPPY WITH YOUR DECISION TO CHARGE US. WHO’S RUNNING THIS BUSINESS?

Let me tell you about this place. It is comfortable. It is homey. It is convenient. It is nice.
The kitchen and living room area are filled with light during the day. There is a flat screen TV and a dvd player. If you are not too afraid of «the people outside,» you can open the French doors to really welcome in fresh air and the heat, if the heat is not too overwhelming. If it is too hot, the air conditioning works like a champ. We could feel the coolness of the A.C. within 5 minutes.
The kitchen has an adequate microwave, refrigerator, oven, electric stove, coffee maker, pots and pans, kitchenware and utensils. When I come back, I’m bringing more healthy food in so we don’t have to eat out as often. This kitchen must also be convenient with the 2 huge BBQ gas grills they have pool side. In the early evening, the smell of fresh BBQ filled the air, and I only wished I would have planned on roasting up our own food.
The daylight that fills the living room and kitchen is completely blocked off from our bedroom. Our bedroom is dark. The windows are smaller, closer to the ceiling and covered by curtains that black-​out all of the light. Very nice if you want to sleep in or take a nap during the day. I assume it also allows the bedroom to remain cooler.
The Palm Springs Aerial Tramway is probably less than a mile north. Downtown Palm Springs is less than a mile south. Two huge supermarkets are a mile east. Everything you need, super close.
I wondered if I was driving in the right direction to get here. This small resort is tucked away in a residential area. Because of that, it is very quiet. You don’t hear noise of the busy streets, or people walking around to get from one location to another.
There are families here, and by families, I mean «kids.» That might bother some people. I have children, but I am here without them. I came here to take a break from my kids. I am still getting my peace and quiet, and the children I do see here do not bother. This place is much more like «families on a private outing» and less like «crazy kids at Chucky Cheese,» so I wouldn’t even consider taking off a rating star for the family aspect.
The manager, Pete, is super cool. When I was asking about the local night life, a family came to check in. He remembered them from a previous visit they had here. That was a good sign for me to see that his satisfied customers had returned.
All we did in Palm Springs was lounge around by the pool, visit restaurants and touristy spots and sleep. This place was great for all of that.

For what this place it, it’s pretty great. It’s really a family hotel, not for the young or chic. It’s suites with full kitchens. The bathrooms are a little funny — you step down into the shower. It’s nice, clean interior rooms with plenty of space for hanging out in.
It’s got a nice pool with plenty of lounge chairs, 2 BBQS for anybody’s use, hot tub, shuffle boards. I’ve stayed there twice now — never had issues with noise, but that’s probably dependent on ppl staying there. Neighborhood it’s in is residential and certainly quiet. Great online price deals too.

I stayed here because I have a condition called IPS — idiotic procrastination syndrome. I didn’t make a reservation and then all the places I was looking at got booked up.
The rooms at Tuscany aren’t fancy but they aren’t bad either — its a suite with a kitchen, so you have full kitchen, fridge, sofa. The tv is small old school (we are so spoiled to criticize this now). The bed was ok but squeaky.
I would have liked to give it 3 stars but the number one complaint was noise from outside infiltrating our room during the night. I was awoken by people in the courtyard hanging out late night (like 3AMish). They weren’t really being that loud but there’s not much soundproofing and their conversation was easily heard.
Number 2 complaint was lightproofing — the venetian blinds didn’t block the sun well so I got up early!
So the positives are great rates. Good sized room with full kitchen. They also had a nice looking bbq grill by the pool (I wish I had seen that before going to the falls steakhouse! Would have much rather grilled up steaks by the pool!)
Its also within walking distance of Riviera so you could go there for drinks and walk home.
