The Wesley Palm Springs

Finding this place not only saved our weekend but was a gem of a find. The manager Kathy was very welcoming and super helpful. The flat was comfortable, clean, quite, and loved the decoration. Will def come again and again. And would encourage any of my friends to stay here! :)

Wow! This place couldn’t be any more perfect. We were looking for a low key, relaxing weekend and we found The Wesley. I was so excited based on the pictures and reviews I saw online before arriving and it did not disappoint.
We were greeted at the door by Kathy and she was very welcoming and helpful. We stayed in flat two which was a large studio with a king size bed. It also included our own private patio with a grill and cute patio set. The décor was amazing and everything was so new and clean. The room was beautiful! There was so much thought put into every detail of each room, especially the kitchen. We brought groceries with us and planned to cook a few meals. Everything (and I mean everything!) was available! Can opener, cork screw, olive oil, seasoning, every size pan/​cutting board/​knife etc. was there making the experience so relaxing and fun.
The outdoor area was also great. There was a fridge, grill, and outdoor kitchen shared area near the pool. Plenty of seating, lounges, and cabanas for everyone. It never felt crowded with the other guests staying. One of the cutest details was the selection of beach cruisers and fixie bikes that were available to use. We rode them to a nearby coffee place both mornings. They had lights, helmets and locks to go with them.
I would definitely recommend The Wesley as a place to stay in Palm Springs! I hope it doesn’t get too popular, it seems like the best kept secret in the desert.

This is an absolutely divine place to stay. Beautifully decorated, extremely comfortable, well appointed. Bed and pillows are top notch (and I’m picky). Conveniences everywhere. As someone who likes to prepare their own meals when traveling I had everything I could possibly need in the kitchen and then some. Kathy was a perfect property manager and available for whatever questions I had. The photos on their AirBnB listing are 100% accurate. This is definitely a go-​to Palm Springs accommodation from now on!

While we were excited to receive the wedding invitation of a very close friend, we were even more excited that it was a destination wedding in Palm Springs. One tends to forget just how Vitamin D deprived we Pacific Northwesterners can become during our long, wet, dreary winters. A sun-​soaked three day weekend in Palm Springs would do us both good.
It had been years since our last trip to the desert and our maddening stay at Rancho Las Palmas (see my review:
). In that time, there has been a paradigm shift in the hospitality industry with the rise of Web 3.0 companies such as VRBO, Homeaway and Airbnb. So it was that we didn’t even consider staying at a traditional resort or hotel as we looked to book our stay for the wedding weekend that lie ahead.
I found the Wesley PS within 2 minutes of searching on Airbnb and despite spending another hour+ looking at properties, I kept coming back to the Flat 1, advertised for $ 148/​night plus $ 75/​cleaning fee and $ 62/​Aribnb service fee. At the time there was a $ 50 discount for paying with PayPal — a company I loathe — but $ 50 is $ 50. All in for three nights our stay was $ 530 up front.
As is typical, we received a message from our hosts, David and Doug, welcoming us and providing the number for the property manager Kathy. From that point on, Kathy was our point of contact and she was great. The morning of our arrival we received a message (I assume these are all automated) informing us of how to check in and upon arrival Kathy was there to greet us. Throughout our stay, Kathy was a warm presence available to answer any questions, but not intrusive in any way. Later in the day we received another message with information with things to do in the area, restaurants to check out, etc. We never did meet David and Doug. I assume they were not in town that weekend.
We really liked the mid-​century modern vibe that the unit and entire complex gave off. Everything was clean and comfortable. The pool area was inviting and we found the other Wesley PS guests to be friendly. The hot tub could have been a couple of degrees warmer, but that’s just a personal preference. The location of the Wesley PS is super convenient and I found that if I placed a mobile order on my Starbucks app for the location just .7 miles away, it would be ready just as I arrived.
Despite everything that we liked about our stay at the Wesley PS, there were a few nits that — either separate or in aggregate — would not be enough to keep us from recommending the place — but nevertheless prevent me from giving it a full five stars. Those nits include:
Security — I had a bit of anxiety throughout the stay simply because the rooms use traditional keys instead of keycards or keypads. Keys are way too simple to replicate and with an ever increasing number of people who have had possession of those keys, there’s no way to guarantee that they haven’t been copied. Flat 1 is an exterior facing flat with an easily scalable wall — not what I would consider to be the most secure place I’ve ever stayed. Nevertheless, my security concerns might have been lessened if the room had a safe. While I certainly know that hotel room safes don’t provide absolute protection, I still would have preferred a place to store my electronics while we were away.
Bathroom — The bathroom kind of drove us crazy. There was a notable shortage of smaller towels, a shortage of working space (I eventually moved all of my toiletries to the kitchen) and the outlet was placed in such a spot that we were constantly unplugging and replugging items.
Noisy — The refrigerator was loud, the heating/​cooling unit beeped every time you change the temperature and the bed was set on a metal frame that creaked every time someone got in or out of it. For a light sleeper, any one of these items was enough to create an annoying and restless night.
I want to reiterate again, however, that these are just nits. They should not prevent you from staying at the Wesley PS, but you should be aware of them.
After we checked out, we received a text from Kathy letting us know we had left several items behind. Turns out I forgot to check a drawer that was full of clothes — not sure I’ve ever done that. No worries though. Kathy was happy to ship back to us and within a week our items had arrived — I think they were even laundered. That was really great and I was happy to pay the totally reasonable postage and handling that they charged to return the items.

The owners here have thought of everything: fun décor, comfortable bedding, charming decorative lighting which accents the pool area at night, access to free bikes which we appreciated, and a gas grill on our private patio for a night of home grilling. The kitchen is well organized and they provide some essential spices, etc. It’s in a great location too; close to town but quiet. We stayed here for a week in March and enjoyed the hot tub (with a view of the mountains) after a day of hiking or golf. The management provided great dining recommendations and were very responsive to our questions. We would definitely return and will recommend it to friends.

My husband and I came to stay at flat #2 for a weekend. We had the best experience. Our room was immaculate and had everything we needed. We spent a night in: cooked on the grill on our private patio and enjoyed a glass of wine by the hot tub. Couldn’t have asked for a better weekend away.

If I could select ten stars I would for the Wesley Palm Springs. This happens to be my first time in Palm Springs and I seriously can not see myself staying anywhere else when I return in the future. I came down for my birthday. Kathy made sure we felt right at home as soon as we arrived. They were even kind enough to leave me a cute birthday card at arrival. Laid by the pool all day and later went out on a stroll downtown on one of the many bikes they have available. Only downfall was not able to meet the brilliant owners of this place, David and Doug lol Thanks for making this stay a memorable one. Leaving tomorrow and I already can’t wait to be back!

Our first Airbnb experience and it could not have been better. David runs an amazing place. The design of the rooms and attention to detail is superb — David’s kitchen was better equipped than ours at home! Thoughtful items including a bluetooth speaker, complementary bikes and even tupperware for those leftovers! Kathy, the property manager, was always around making sure the pool area was well kept, everything was immaculate and answering any questions. Spent every morning enjoying our french press coffee (provided with a high-​end grinder!) around the pool. How could it be better. If you go to Palm Springs stay here, you will not be disappointed — except when you have to leave.

David, Kathy, and the Wesley was exactly what you are looking for in a micro resort. You didnt have to think because everything you needed was already thought about. I loved leaving my door open and having the pool right there in a it’s peaceful serenity. Does such a great job found every detail to make you feel like you are in Palm Springs. I will come here time and time again and is perfect for a 2 – 3 day getaway.

The décor here is flawless! It has this hip-​retro ambience that encourages you to have fun and relax.
My boyfriend and I originally planned for ONE night, however we ended up staying for THREE! It was like a mini paradise that we couldn’t leave.
The room we originally booked, the AC wasn’t working properly– but management handled the situation instantly! Without hesitation, they upgraded us to a room with working AC at no extra charge. This was incredibly convenient and kind! It influenced us to stay a few more days. We were able to experience rooms 8, 5, and 2. All so wonderfully decorated and very comfy.
I would recommend this resort style hotel for any occasion — honeymoons, day cations, bachelorette parties, coachella stays, even as a temporary «office» for those that can work from home. I adore the Wesley!!! Thank you so much for taking care of us.

every amenity you need. i read it opened april 2015, so everything is really new.
each room has a private back patio with gas grill, rooms all have stovetops and pretty much everything you could ever need as far as a kitchen is concerned.

This little micro resort is literally the perfect getaway from the city. If you’re looking to relax, you’ve found your place. Kathy, who will show you to your studio and give you the lowdown, is one of the calmest people I have ever met. Definitely starts off your vacation in the right way. She’s available with just a text and so friendly.
The grounds are immaculately kept. All of the photos will show you that. I have an eye for detail and this place leaves no stone unturned. There is relaxing music being played by the pool and into the evening when the sun is setting and the twinkle lights get turned on. Awesome ambiance.
The studios are perfectly set up. If you want to cook, you’ve got everything you may need. I was shocked by all of the things they provided– there is a food processor, too! We just brought snacks and ate out, but you could definitely make some good meals in these places or grill on the patio. The bed was comfortable and the extra blankets made it cozy and homey.
We’ve decided that we are coming back with some friends. We’d probably never stay in a hotel in Palm Springs again. We’d only come back here.

If you’re looking for a quiet and enjoyable place to stay in Palm Springs, look no further. The Wesley was the perfect spot for escaping everyday life, kicking back, and relaxing. The on-​site management team was kind and professional. They keep the property looking great and were very welcoming. David was a pleasure to work with as well. He had assisted me with everything up to the physical check-​in.
These units are super cool too! Each features an individual design, and you can tell that management put a lot of time and thought into each unit. We stayed in unit #4. It was the perfect size for two (queen bed, seating for two, patio that accommodates two). Having a kitchenette was really nice for preparing meals throughout the day.
We came out to PS for a quick, two-​day getaway. The Wesley was exactly what we were looking for! The pool and outdoor lounge areas provided a space to «clock out».

My fiancé and I were looking to take a little trip out of LA for a couple of nights together before we both did our respective bachelor/​ette parties and stumbled upon the Wesley PS.
Whenever we’ve made trips to Palm Springs in the past we’ve stayed at the multi-​building resorts but we wanted some quiet time with the same amenities.
We were blown away!
We stayed in Flat #3 and it had everything we could have asked for (and more) and the pool was glorious. David and Doug obviously put a ton of thought into every detail.
I worried on the drive down that we didn’t think to get ice or bottled water but the fridge welcomed us with a Brita and the freezer with two trays of ice.
We cooked at least one meal a day in the kitchen or on the grill outside on our private patio. Please don’t believe the video that had been circulating about the «unbelievable» way to shuck corn easily — it doesn’t work — but once we shucked them we were able to throw them on the grill because there was tinfoil in a cute case under the sink… another thing we forgot.
In fact, it was so great that we asked if we could stay another night and they went above and beyond to accommodate us. It’s been a week since we left and I’m still feeling like I’m there because I’m so relaxed.
We can’t wait to go back!

The Wesley is the perfect Palm Springs paradise! I cannot stop raving about this place and feel like I am still on vacation because of how amazing it was. I honestly did not want to leave. David & Doug have done an amazing job from the interior décor to the grounds and landscaping, and there is no small detail forgotten. The room included everything we needed to cook a meal and had plenty of cups, dishes, utensils and even a blender! I loved the private patio to enjoy my morning coffee or meals… and even though I did not get a chance to use the BBQ, it was a great option to have! David & Doug were extremely accommodating and respectful and I cannot wait to book my next stay here. The Wesley Palm Springs exceeded all of my expectations. Thank you again for the amazing & generous hospitality!

My wife, dog, and I loved our long weekend at the Wesley PS! It was the desert oasis we needed & we’re already planning our return asap. Hosts Doug & David have every detail intentionally thought out from fun pool floaties, diverse reading material, relaxing tunes, towels, ice, cool custom décor & fully equipped kitchens in each unit (with BBQs!) The entire property was really clean, up-​to-​date and safe. We pretty much spent the whole time enjoying the pool, but the location is great with «downtown Palm Springs», grocery stores, restaurants, & the Palm Springs Dog Park, only a few minutes away.
In regards to flat #6, it’s a quiet corner spot that opens up to the pool. The curtains provide privacy if you want it! We were able to hook up our Apple TV, which was great. There’s a portable speaker for music, nice smelling sheets & towels… even though it was a studio, it felt spacious for the two of us & our dog.
All communication with David leading up to the trip was quick, informative, and very professional. We appreciated the restaurant recommendations and chatting with them by the pool as the sun set! Charley, our dog, was thrilled to receive extra love, attention and belly rubs all weekend!

Doug and David are top notch hosts! Great place with a great vibe. We stayed for a weekend and my only complaint is that the weekend was not long enough! They provided a gorgeous space to stay that was very quiet for nice relaxing weekend. The kitchens are well equipped and the bikes provided added a great plus to our stay. I already have several friends who have asked about the venue since my raving about it on Facebook! :)

A huge thank you to David for such a smooth reservation experience! I had the privilege of booking a room for my boss, Renee and her partner Angie a couple of weeks ago. From what I heard, the Wesley was the PERFECT getaway and David was extremely accommodating. The décor is very stylish and they report that it was a very comfortable and relaxing stay. David was also nice enough to deliver a bottle of champagne because he found out it was Angie’s birthday. I mean, talk about customer service! We will be spreading the word, David!

My wife and I stayed at The Wesley for our 10 year anniversary. This place was absolutely amazing! Every aspect of the property is so well executed. The pool area was absolutely beautiful! David and Doug were incredibly friendly and accommodating. This place is the best of all worlds! It’s basically resort life on a small scale which is ideal. You get all the perks of a resort but the privacy of staying at a friends house. We joked that it felt like we were staying in our «millionaire friends guest house». So glad we chose to stay here over some of the other options we were considering. We’ll definitely be back! Everything about this place exceeded our expectations. That’s hard to find.

This place is amaaaaazingggggg!!! When we first saw it we thought it might be too good to be true! It’s absolutely beautiful in and out! Attention to detail doesn’t even begin to describe it. They literally thought of everything! The longer we stayed the more amazing little details we found. We were out by the pool where they have relaxing ambient music playing all day, we thought about putting some music of our own on and found speakers around the pool with a remote! All we had to say was «of course!» Everything we ever wanted would just appear exactly where we would want it. We spent quite a bit of time just talking about how awesome everything was. Literally every little thing is brand new and beautiful!
David and Doug were awesome as well! Super friendly! If we needed help with anything all I had to do was text them and we would immediately get a response. They are staying there too so you’ll definitely see them but they’re happy to give you your space if you want some privacy. We also ended up hanging out with them in the hot tub. Felt like we were just hanging with friends even tho we just met them.
The place is also in the perfect location! $ 5 über ride and you’re in the heart of it all. But the resort itself is quiet. They also provide bikes (of course they do). We took our dog for a beautiful bike ride around the neighborhood in awe of all the beautiful houses and landscaping. There was another couple there that said it only took them like 10 minutes to bike to the grocery store, all on a bike path too so you’re not directly on the road. So convenient!
We genuinely had the best time and were so impressed with everything! If you’re considering staying here DO IT! You will not be disappointed! We will definitely be back. It’s our new favorite place!
