These amazing women were the coordinators for the last wedding I photographed and went above and beyond! If you are planning an event look no further they are amazing!

We hired Julie Renee and Angel in March 2015 for our wedding in mid-​September. We discontinued working with them around mid-​June. We paid the deposit (half the cost, up front) and the rest is still a little confusing for us. We have had many issues with them and everything that went down with them has been bizarre and left us feeling, not simply confused, but incredibly stressed and hurt. They are abrupt and poor communicators. There has been weak follow-​through from the beginning and many red flags along the way: no tasting when we drove 2.5 hours to what we thought was a tasting, I asked for advice on wording for registries and I heard nothing for 3 wks, they did not help us read through our contracts and missed large details that we ourselves had to work with the vendors on clarifying, they have been late to almost every appointment we’ve had, I asked for a rental quote (just a quote) early on and it didn’t arrive until 5 – 6 wks later, they say they negotiate pricing beforehand but that didn’t happen with a particular vendor, gave us plain bad advice on a few occasions that we had to google. These are just to name a few. And, by far, the WORST thing they did is introduce and recommend us to the most awful catering company there could ever be:
. These girls aligned themselves with this company and urged us to put down our deposit. We trusted them. I mean, that’s why we hired them. To guide us. But it was bad. I am sure these two women have a response for what I listed above and I, too, am curious how they would respond. The thing is, they haven’t responded. I outlined all the above and more but their reply was that I should speak with their board of directors. Board of directors? So confusing (I asked for the board of directors contact information – radio silence – that was weeks ago). We have given them the benefit of the doubt on many occasions but they are truly unprofessional. We are thoroughly disappointed in ourselves for choosing them to be our coordinators. They have a hard time remembering details (not a great sign), and made me feel badly for reminding them when my questions weren’t addressed. Many things on the «list» of things they do for couples were simply overlooked. I have heard that other couples have not been pleased with their performance/​services either.
I told them around the end of May that I was worried about the day-​of coordination since I felt they were dropping the ball on certain things. They apologized saying they didn’t have an excuse for some of the complaints I had. They said they were appreciative of my honest and helpful feedback and seemed to have taken it okay during the phone call but it went quickly sour after that. I think they started getting defensive and a little paranoid (legal things probably– I heard that they were being sued by another couple). They gave us the option of cancelling out of our contract due to our differences yet their «billing dept.» (this is the term they used, but it’s just them with another email address) is still demanding fees. Truly, they didn’t do the work that would even make up the deposit we already paid them! They specifically even said, «we never offered this to anyone else before but we admit we goofed and giving you guys the opportunity to cancel.”(I’m paraphrasing). I don’t understand this logic… they knew they were wrong, gave us the chance to cancel, and then still want remaining fees? That is a scandalous business model– can people really earn money like that? Pay me and I won’t do the work. Geesh. It’s been a few weeks but for a little while the «billing dept» was harassing us with emails saying we were delinquent. On top of all this, the other sad part is that Julie and Angel wrote a mass email to all our vendors explaining that we’re delinquent and that they no longer are working with us. They twisted the truth and it was unkind to say the least. We can’t be delinquent when they offered us the chance to cancel! Why would we pay for services they haven’t performed especially if they’re the ones that suggested to cancel? They, in short, do not know what they’re doing. They are dishonest and give a bad name to the wedding industry.
Feel free to message me if you have concerns. if you have a conscientious personality, with a basic sense of how events are planned, and a modicum of organization, they will drive you nuts.
And one last thing to follow up on their response to my post… thanks guys for responding for the first time since June even after my repeated attempts at contacting you. I admit, writing a lengthy Unilocal review isn’t the most classy way to do things but that’s how much you guys upset us. Your tips to other brides and grooms sound great. One tip to you: too many cooks in the kitchen is awful, I agree. But having no chef in the kitchen at all is worse. Not bringing the ingredients, the tools, nor the recipes, sigh … you cannot blame a bride for this. Truly.

I have been an event/​wedding photographer for over 20 years and have worked with many event coordinators… the good, not-​so-​good and bad. I am happy to say that my experience with Julie and Angel with In Love Events ranked as great! They were both a joy to work with and the entire evening went off very smoothly, in spite of some uncooperative winds! They are attentive to detail and actually listen to their clients requests. I would recommend them without hesitation.

Okay, these ladies are the reason my wedding day happened. I’m not even sure where to start because they were with me the entire time. I am not the kind of person who enjoys planning events/​trips/​parties, so it is safe to say without In Love I would not have had a wedding. They helped me create my dream wedding, I left pretty much everything in their hands. They worked tirelessly to help take the stress off me, and let me say I must have emailed/​text messaged/​called a million times, and each time they would reassure me that it would all be okay. They even had two ladies assist me and my bridal party the morning of my wedding to ensure we were all well fed, hydrated and feeling well.
They were awesome! I am so, so glad I was referred to them because they made it happen! I almost wish we had a little more time because I miss their communication and meeting with them! I was so nervous about the rain on my day and they just kept telling me «it is not going to rain.» And they were right, the clouds parted at the perfect time and everything went according to plan.
I cannot tell you how fast time flies, we met up almost a year ago, and now its already over. If anyone is feeling trepadatious about planning a wedding, I highly recommend looking up InLove Events!!! You will not be sorry. The type of service you receive from InLove makes you want to plan your wedding all over again just to work with them. Awesome, awesome!!! Love you and thank you all so very much!!!

My husband and I hired Julie and Angel from In Love Events for day-​of coordination for our Palm Springs wedding after reading some great reviews. And really, the reviews I read didn’t do any justice to how wonderful they are (as people AND planners).
I absolutely could not have pulled off such an amazing day without them. I initially thought we would not use any help in planning but hands down the best decision I made was to hire (the right) help. Julie and Angel, were absolutely amazing and took care of all the details so I actually enjoyed my wedding day stress free. I would not have had fun my wedding without them, as they made sure everyone was on time and on the same page. They love their jobs so much that working with them was always something I looked forward to.
I hired them just for the day-​of coordination, but they went so far and above my expectations it was really incredible. They were always on the other end of phone or email whenever I had questions or concerns, and took away all the stress that comes with planning a wedding. They came with me to the cake tasting, dress fitting, and I felt like they really cared about us and our special day. I would highly recommend them if you are looking for a great team to plan or coordinate your wedding!

Julie Renee and Angel helped us plan our small wedding this past week with a pretty short lead time (8 weeks). We are from out of town, and came in for a long weekend to meet them and get started in January. They connected us with a wonderful caterer — Dash and a Handful, and florist — Rancho Mirage — and photographer — Ann Keen — who helped us make our day what we wanted it to be. The vendors they recommended were amazing in every way, and Julie Renee and Angel have good relationships with them, so we felt like we were in good hands. Both Julie Renee and Angel have a very artistic eye and helped us make a rental home a wedding venue, listening to what I wanted, with some very creative and stunning ideas of their own. Our wedding was even more beautiful than I imagined without spending outrageous amounts of money. I agree with the previous reviewer that communication and follow through during the planning phase was a little rocky; they seemed to lose track of the details which made for a few bumps and missed connections, but I do feel that they had the big picture in their heads, and just need to be more structured with this piece so that the bride can feel more confident. Most importantly for me, they have very big hearts and are very intentional in their care to help create a meaningful and lovely event, and that feeling infused our day which only added to our joy.

MCJ Impressions’ wedding photography and videography company had the opportunity to work alongside the In Love staff on the day of a recent wedding and they were absolutely wonderful!!! Angel, Julie and staff were on top of everything from prep to the end of the reception, they definitely made sure that the timeline went smoothly and were sweet and enthusiastic the whole time. Hopefully we can work with them again on future weddings! =)

Had the pleasure to work with In Love Events and Productions on a wedding this past weekend. My businesses did the hair and makeup for one of their bridal parties. They were so organized and detailed with giving my staff the directions and timeline a week prior to the event allowing us to organize when and how long they needed to get the makeup and hair completed. Their staff member, Brittny contacted me when my staff arrived, sent me text photos and text me when they finished the entire time friendly and professional. They were great to work with and made our job so much easier. I especially appreciate how they go out of the way to maintain open communications with all the vendors ensuring the day goes smoothly and stress free for the bridal part (and the vendors). I enjoy their fun, light-​hearted and genuine passion for what they do while making sure every detail is taken care of… I’m «In Love» with them!

I had the pleasure to work with Angelina & Julie Renee this past weekend in the Palm Springs area. The reception was flawless and one of the smoothest event’s I’ve had the pleasure to DJ. Punctual, organized, and friendly are just a couple of the words I can begin to describe about this perfect one, two punch! Last weekend I got married in La Quinta and hired In Love Events as the coordinators. I am an out of town bride, so i knew I needed local support (finding vendors, timelines, day of).
The day of support was superb (5 stars). I was able to focus on the emotions of the moment and leave the logistics to them. I would recommend them for that service.
Leading up to the wedding (I hired them about 9 months before the wedding) was not as smooth as I had hoped. I am a naturally detail oriented person, so my spreadsheet instincts may have contributed. They made themselves available by phone pretty readily, but I ended up sourcing all but two vendors myself. Some of their recommendations were outside of our clearly laid out budget or not in line with the vision we had. I expected them to have a month by month checklist or help keep me on track. I quickly learned that if I didn’t remember a detail to discuss, it would go undiscussed. Basically, I thought they would be anticipating what needed to be finalized… but that became my job.
They are truly fabulous people and most of their staff is incredible (but there was at least one very stern faced staffer at my wedding).
My lessons learned: talk through your expectations in the beginning and ask a lot of questions. If you do that… you cant go wrong with them!

My name is Brooke Ruiz and I used Events by Renee for my wedding. I was married on February 9, 2013. Julie was amazing in every way. I had several meetings with her throughout the year of planning my wedding and whenever I would feel stressed or overwhelmed she was there to make me feel better. She had the perfect timelines for everything. Because of getting married in the church, I had to use their coordinator for the ceremony however that didn’t stop Julie from being there the day of the rehearsal as well. She made and stayed in contact with all of my vendors to make sure all the arrival and set up times were done, they were there on time, and made the necessary last payments that needed to be done. Everything started right on time based on her timeline and her assistants that she used were nothing short of amazing as well. She even helped me bustle my dress and when we couldn’t figure it out, she got on the phone in a heartbeat to the place where I got my dress so we could get it taken care of. She’s not only a wonderful wedding planner, but she’s an amazing friend as well. I’ve maintained my relationship with her and I treasure our friendship that we have formed. I would highly recommend her to anyone that is looking for a wedding planner. She has several different packages that will meet your needs and budget and just a real doll to work with. I would be more than happy to work with her again.

Bridal Angel is amazing. She attended everyone of my dress fittings and was available throughout my wedding planning to answer any questions. On the day of, she truly was an angel, making sure we stuck to our timeline and calmed my nerves. Anything I needed from her, she was right by my side. She helped with my bustle, and she even helped me use the bathroom in my enormous dress! She even stayed to help out for the majority of the wedding, even though she only was only suppose to stay for the first hour. While I love all my bridesmaids, they were definitely more concerned with their hair and makeup, rather than helping me out. I don’t know how I would have survived without Angel!

Being an older bride, I thought «well, I’ve been through this before so it should be easy to do the second time around». It was very difficult, but I put together my wedding in just a matter of a few weeks.
After I was totally exhausted from all the running around and the decisions that needed to be made, I found out that weddings were Angel’s specialty. As a result, I contacted her and she said she would help me through the last phase of what I had to do.
In total Angel fashion, she came through and breathed an air of calmness into the situation. Her very presence helped me to relax for the first time in days. She skillfully and completely took control of the remaining parts of my wedding.
As I recall about 2 minutes before I was to walk down the aisle, my maid of honor walked over to me and buttoned up the white lace coverup that went over my gown. I wanted it open and my maid of honor thought it would look better closed. I did not like it and tried to open it up again and one of the buttons came off. Oh no! We could not unbutton because thee rest as the loops would not slip back over the buttons. We also could not button it with one button missing. The warning signal was heard from the organ and it was then time to leave the bride’s room. Of course, timing was against us. I paniicked, looked at Angel and she just smiled. She had my coverup situation handled, calmed me down, and had me out of the bride’s room standing ready to enter the church within 30 seconds. All I can say is that Angel is truly a Bridal Angel. Her magic worked for me.

I am a Los Angeles based Wedding Photographer and I had the joy of working with Julie on a wedding last september in Palm Springs. Working with many coordinators in this industry, I truly can say that Julie and her team are the REAL deal! I LOOOOVED the fact that Julie was in contact with me weeks before the wedding and keeping me posted on the timeline and took into account, the time I needed for photographs with the bride/​bridal party etc. Unlike, some coordinators they do not contact me until two or three days before the wedding, just to ask if I have received the final timeline. Brides, I highly recommend Julie and her team as they will go above and beyond to touch base with your vendors to make sure everyone is on the same page and ready for one of the biggest days of YOUR life! I mean after all you do want your day to run smooth, and I PROMISE hiring Events by Renee, will be one of the best decisions you make for your wedding! Plus, upon meeting Renee you will love her right away and have an instant bond with her. You can tell she definitely loves what she is doing and that this is her passion. I wish I knew about Renee when I was getting married, because I would have hired her in a heart beat!
