Gypsy Dog Mobile Grooming

I want to let all animals lovers to never use Cheryl, and John that are franchise owners of gypsy dogs mobile grooming. They are beyond horrible. Anyone who ever says different has never stayed inside with while their baby has been pretend washed. Seriously. They put drops in my dogs eyes without permission which is extremely illegal. I was trying to tell them about my dog and let turned and they did this. Then they strapped my dog up, 2 around the neck and then tried to strap her legs which I made them stop. They used a washcloth you wash my dog. They it’s better for the dog. Soap all over my dogs face and they didn’t care about that while they used the washcloth over her body. They never scrubbed into her. She got partially dry. And trust me I’m being generous with that. They never did ears or anals. They should never be allowed around any animals. I was trusting what people wrote about them. So now I truly believe that they wrote the compliments or none of you were inside and watched the horrific job they did. Please animal lovers never leave your dog unintended when they are being washed. They didn’t want me in there but I wasn’t leaving. My poor baby stinks and I had to blow dry her and brush her out. They are beyond awful and obviously were never trained or they really don’t give a hoot about your babies. I truly hope this review helps all of you. I’m just being honest. Protect your babies from Cheryl and john.

I would NOT EVER use these people again! My dog was matted in a few places (very few) so I gave Cheryl permission to cut her down all over. (She is a malti-​poo) understanding that she then would not have to deal with the mats. When she brought her to me, she said that because of the mats they were charging me $ 80.00! Folks, this is a 7.5 lb dog! Then the job they did was just horrible! The face looks like I did it not a professional. I swear she may have had 5 mats on her back and that was it! I paid the $ 80 and decided I owe it to people out there to warn them!

I don’t know who the groomers are but they were awfull. Couldn’t handle both our rescues and suggested we should drug them next time. They never had problems from previous groomers. I guess we’re going back to El paseo. On top of that they were an hour late, then charged me for just washing my dogs without even drying them!

John and Cheryl were fantastic! My dog is 17 and a half years old and gets turned down by every dog groomer in town. She looked beautiful when they were done. If you have a senior dog who can’t climb stairs it’s fine cause they’ll will be carried and treated like a princess!

Nick and Kim came to the house and did a great job grooming our golden retriever. We had him shaved down very short and it couldn’t look nicer! He looks fantastic. He also really enjoyed it and has had a wide grin across his face ever since exiting their grooming vehicle! I will only be using this service, with Nick and Kim, from now on. =)

I have never experienced such a horrible outcome from a groomer and I have been using several for 14yrs with this dog. When they finished they brought her back to me with mats still under both ears… so they then brought the clippers inside to remove them and when they finished both ears were cut and bleeding!!! I expressed how I have never had this happen and Kim told me it happens ALL THE TIME with close to skin mats… WHAT??? My dog always manages to get small mats less than the size of a nickle under her ears from people rubbing and twisting her hair when they pet her and no other groomer has ever done this to her before. She said to me «do you have any bactine?» when I said no she went out to the truck to get some. Why ask me to treat a wound you created and if you have the medicine to help it GET IT don’t ask the client! Here’s the kicker, the morning after I found a cotton wad STILL IN HER EAR!!! I cannot express how angry I am and I am taking her to the Vet today to see if there is any more cotton in the other ear and trim her nails. Their price was double of what I normally pay and they did not even trim her nails! This was a complete disaster and I will NEVER use or recommend these people to anyone. Use them at your own risk… as another reviewer stated you will need to sign a waiver and now I see why.

Nick and Kim from Gypsy Dog Express East are great. They were able to work my dogs into their schedule the same day I called. I have two very high-​strung and difficult to groom beagle mix dogs. Nick and Kim were super patient and continued to do a good job long after most any other groomer would have given up. They were also very friendly and knowledgable. Thank you both!

NICK, KIM, JOHN & SHERYL WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! We have had several bad experiences with finding the perfect groomer for our baby Ziggi (Yorkshire Terrier) these past couple of weeks; so we decided to call Gypsy Mobile Dog Grooming on Friday where they come to us, we told them our situation and they were able to book Ziggi the next available appointment which was today this Tuesday @4:30. Well they decided to leave a voicemail @ 1:30 stating they were in our city and were ready to groom 3 hours earlier cause it was convenient for them as they were in town. I was able to return the phone call in time and no answer, of course and made multiple calls I also left a voicemail so here we are no one showed up and my dog never got groomed! I am so upset with how unprofessional Gypsy Dog Groomers are! Please choose a better groomer as we will not be giving them our business nor referrals !!! YOU SUCK GYPSY!!! NO WONDER YOU NAMED YOUR BUSINESS GYPSY! No matter if your excuses’ because you franchise your business. FYI: YOU HAVE TO BE SPECIFIC AS TO WHICH GYPSY DOG GROOMING YOU’RE USING AS IN WEST, EAST etc.

NEVER TAKE YOUR DOG TO THESE PEOPLE!!! Would not give them even 1 star! Have a 15 year old Shih Tzu who I explained is not used to anyone else other than same groomer for 14 years. Need to be patient and a little slower with him. Now in the desert looking for groomer. Made appointment week in advance. So unprofessional they had to phone me 3 times for directions. Not smart enough to at least google the address before you head out. Showed up with travel trailer that from a distance looked okay. Said I wanted to see inside and stay with my dog. DIRTY DIRTY DIRTY!!! Flies, dirty floors, dirty towels, dirty table, hot, groomers excuse is working so hard the owners trying to fix inside but not enough time, BULL! Let her bath my dog and he went nuts. Thought maybe be better if I went into my home and 2 minutes later brings my dog to the house. She at least tried but the people who own this business should not be allowed to touch anyone’s animal until they clean this pig sty. Stay away from these people. Super Mutts on El Paseo (not expensive at all) cheaper than these idiots and did a FABULOUS job of our dog.

True definition of connivence. Sue and John were so professional, listened to my needs and concerns. Sadie (my baby) came back one happy pup. Shocking too, seeing she’s not a fan of spa days with nails & bath. The price was cheaper then any other groomer as well. And I was able to stay home :-). My only regret is not finding them sooner! Btw, no forms to fill out. Not sure why some other reviews say that. Unless there were special needs they didn’t mention. Thanks john & sue. Mike & Sadie C.

I love Gypsy Mobile dog grooming. My little dogie baby, Cookie hates the car. She cries and shakes whenever I would take her somewhere to be bathed or groomed. Sheryl and John at 760−668−9429 are FANTASTIC. I have had Cookie groomed twice now. They came to my house and groomed my dog from head to toe. My dog was so happy when they brought her back to me. It was like she knew she looked pretty. I like that they gave me a little bag of treats for Cookie. She expects them now after she is done being groomed. The price is very fair. It would cost me the same amount of money to take my dog out to have her groomed. I get to save time not having to drive 25 minutes each way plus Cookie does not have to suffer by being in the car. Thanks so much!!!

Thank you John & Sheryl. We just moved to the desert and had to find someone to replace our mobile groomer and I found Gypsy Groomers. John and Sheryl came to my home and I couldn’t have been more pleased. They are very professional, the trailer is very clean and most of all my Golden Retriever looks amazing and she just loves them. They asked me about using a product called Furmating to remove some of her excess hair. They used this product and she looks great. I would highly recommend John & Sheryl. If you are anything like me, my dogs well being and happiness is the most important thing and I feel very comfortable with them taking care of her.

Sherry and Kyle have been grooming my dog sleepy girl for over a year now and have never dissapointed. they do such excellent work, sleepy can hardly wait to see them when they walk through the door. they are always prompt and they call prior to arrival. highly recommended:)

We have been using John & Cheryl from Gypsy Dog for sometime now. We & our little girl Charli love them. They do a great job with poodles. We told them how we wanted her cut & they did it. First groomers we ever had that listened. They are on time & park in front of our house so she is not setting somewhere in a cage until they are ready to do her. Charli is well behaved & gets excited to see them.

DONT USE THIS SERVICE. DANGER. I walked my dog on to the bus and mentioned that i wanted to stay and watch because my dog is not good with new people and i also felt more comfortable being there. The woman seemed confused as to why i would want to monitor strangers around my dog but she said she would let me stay. However, when her male co-​worker showed up, not only did he make me sign something that says they are not liable if they hurt my dog, he also refused to even go further with the grooming because i wanted to watch. So basically they want me to sign a paper giving them the right to abuse my dog and then let them be alone with my dog for an extended period of time. This is the most ridiculous thing ive ever heard. Theres no fucking way in hell im letting these psychopaths near my dog ever again. I highly suggest everyone thinks twice before signing their dogs away to strangers.

I love Gypsy Dog! John and Sheryl came to Desert Hot Springs to give Charlie and Angus, our 2 dogs, a spa treatment! This is the second time I have used them, and they do a fantastic job! Low key, affectionate, caring, accommodating, John and Sheryl know what dogs like. Had to laugh because the dogs were having so much fun in the trailer that it was rocking from side to side! LOL! They loved it! Saved us travel time, mileage, gas, so we could do other things. Beautiful job guys!

Had them come to our home and after they set up the gentleman came to my door saying he needed me to sign a waiver saying they weren’t liable if my dog got hurt in their custody. Are you kidding? I’ve used mobile groomers for years and years, and I’ve never been asked to sign away my rights. That basically gives them a way out if my dog is hurt by them. He said «well everyone else signs it». I don’t care! My dog has all ready been hurt by a groomer, and even then I wasn’t asked to sign a waiver of their liability. So whose fault would it be? The dog? No. I refused to sign it and he left. I wouldn’t recommend this place. If your dog gets hurt you can’t even say it’s their fault.

We were so glad to find Gypsy Dog Mobile — Nick and Kim (the owners) couldn’t have kinder to our golden retriever who is getting up there in years. It is so nice to have them come to us so we don’t have to leave her in a shop. The price is reasonable and the work is good. Highly recommend them!

DO NO HIRE. I would not give him even 1 star. I tried to hire this person to groom my dog weekly. He was absolutely shocked that I wanted my dog groomed weekly. I asked him if there was a problem with that and he said I have a lot of customers and it would be hard to groom your dog weekly. I told him that my husband was an attorney and we never turn down paying clients. I asked him how often would he want to groom my dog. He said every other week. I said what’s wrong with every week? He said that it would be cheaper on my pocketbook if I groomed every other week. I have never encountered a person like this that would turn down a paying client, a client that would pay with cash. I only wanted him to wash our dog every week. I was not asking for clipping I was only asking for a wash due to the fact that we are growing his hair out for the winter. He then told me that his calendar is booked out for a month in advance. I then said to him that I was not asking him to come groom my dog today and he said I don’t have time today! My mind was boggled. He said the next available appointment, believe it or not, was Monday. Now if his calendar is booked out for a month in advance how could he have an appointment available for Monday? For a person that is trying to make a living and you get a call from a person that wants their dog washed every week not clipped, but washed, how could you turn that down? I believe this person does not have all of his marbles and I would not recommend using him.

I loved the girls at uptown dog grooming on El Paseo. My girls loved it there too but when I had to start working on Saturdays, I could not bring them there anymore because of my work schedule. The needed to be groomed desperately. I was searching Angie’s list when I stumbled upon Gypsy Dog Mobile dog groomers.
I gave them a call and they couldn’t have been nicer. We set up a date for later in the week. I work from home so I could work while they were in the driveway getting beautiful. They called me this morning as they had a cancellation so I took it and they came today.
They arrived, introduced themselves. Kim and Nick the owners, They took some time playing with my old ladies to put them at ease. Then they each took one and brought them to the salon (a converted trailer). I went in and it was very clean and organized. I felt comfortable enough and went back in the house to work while Kim and Nick took care of them.
A few hours later a knock on my door and in comes my Miracle! She looked beautiful! oh and she smelled great! Next came my Betsy, strutting in with that look at me attitude! They did an excellent job! I couldnt be happier. I highly reccommend them!
