Three stars for ice cream because it’s always good but service and availability not so good this time. No smoothie mix and no cookies for the cookie ice cream sandwich. And empty napkin dispenser– «They’re at the other end»!!! Then there are the dirty tables too!

Vacation ruined by bad ice cream. Me and my 2 other friends were up all night throwing up from bad milk shakes.

13 people in line but just one overworked employee. This sucks! Never coming back… your ice cream isn’t that good.

Two young ladies behind the counter (see picture) were warm and friendly. Greeted us with a smile a actually looked like they enjoyed their job.

I love cold stone, and since they’re aren’t too many close by to home for us — this was the perfect after dinner treat!
Popped in and got a ½ pumpkin ½ oreo filling cup of ice cream to go. The service was friendly, fast and we were in and out in a beat!
There are some benches outside to sit out and enjoy your icy cold treat in the warm weather.

This has got to be one of the first cold stones that I’ve been to that has been able to get 7 orders out in less than 5 minutes. Really good staffing, the staff was friendly and they all seemed to legitimately care about the clients. Ice cream was good, not that you could ever go wrong with ice cream!

Gave them a tip and they didn’t break out in song and dance. Also my ice cream was slightly melted. Employees looking like they hate their job.

Always love coming here and enjoying my favorite guilty pleasure. I get the same thing every time and it’s worth the money. One the customization for my own Black Forest Cake ice cream is spectacular and two I always get overflow from the actual size I order which is a great bonus service is quick and friendly, as well as efficient!

Cold stone is always a good place to get ice cream. We enjoyed being outside and eating in the wonderful weather Palm Springs.

Took the kids there thursday night and had a Unilocal check in offer. There was some misunderstanding between it and the employees. Emailed the owner and we resolved the issue. My daughter always gets the mint signature mix thing. That was yummy but super soft! Already almost liquid when we got it but she manager to devour it. My son got the peanut butter cup signature cup. Oh sweet Jesus! This was yummy! They even offered (which he accepted) the peanut butter spoon that was used. Over all the manager needs to step up and take control of cleanliness, best practices (keeping freezer doors closed), customer service (she should have addressed my issue that was resolved via email by owner). The owner shouldn’t have to get an email from me regarding a .89 cent issue! We will be back because we love ice cream and we believe in second chances. Hoping to update with a higher star review soon.
UPDATE: owner never followed through with her promise to send out vouchers. These were promised as the Unilocal check in wasn’t honored at the time we were there. The issue was for a free upgrade to waffle cone for the «check in». The employee said I had to go home and print it cause he had to scan it. I said how would I print a check in? Why would I go to the shop and check in then leave to go print it? He went to the back to speak to the manager and came back out and said… Yep… It has to be printed. Had the «manager» came and spoke with me we could have resolved it. Emailed the owner to explain that the employees were a little confused. She offered a voucher to go back but it never arrived.

Ice cream is always a must for me. Cold Stone is a reliable stop for a quick dessert. There ice cream is creamy consistent and they have a good variety to choose from! This location was friendly and moved the long line along quickly.

Friend and I went to cold stone after dinner Tuesday night. We walked in no one around the place was a mess, and look up at the ceiling fans OMG they are so filthy that the dirt is falling off the blades. If I was the manager of this place I would be so embarrass to tell anyone. Get off your lazy a. And clean this place up. The girl working there so short nice but seem to just want to make the ice cream and go back to the back. Not sure why we even left tip, but we did. Sad to see this place looking and no joy to go into anymore. And company’s wonder why the have no Business. Run it right and u might do well, but unit then not going back, now understand why no one was there.

Got the chocolate devotion today and it was pretty good. A large portion for only six bucks and it helped beat the Palm Springs heat. You definitely got to come here when you’re visiting Palm Springs.

For an Ice Cream shop, this place definitely is unique. The opportunity to customize your ice cream is such a great idea and it can be fun.
However, this place tends to have waaaay too sweet ice creams and I think customizing your ice creams by adding different toppings makes it melt quicker.
Prices also are extremely high in my personal opinion. Good place to try but definitely not a place I crave on hot days. This location is pretty busy too! Took, a long while to order for my family and I.

Came here with my husband few weeks ago. I got chocolate and he got banana ice cream. No toppings.
The staff seem to be more busy in the back than keeping the parlor clean and keeping the ice cream doors closed. There are tip jars all over the place. If you tip them, they give you the most sarcastic thank you ever. You almost wish you didn’t tip to begin with (I tipped $ 2).
Both our ice creams were super soft which I HATE! To top it off, both mine and my husband’s were super sweet. So sweet that you cough after each bite.
All I know is, I will never be back here.

We’ve been dying for the Banana Caramel sundae they’ve been advertising on TV, so much so that its become a joke between me and my fiancée. So, their ads are working!
We are regulars in Palm Springs and this was the first time we were happy to notice there was a Coldstone’s there so we could finally get it!
It was 4^th of July weekend, so granted it was busy everywhere. I went in by myself to check it out — despite the sticky dirty doors — and tried to stand in the non-​orderly line. To my dismay, the whole place just looked and felt dirty, muggy, and not like a place to get ice cream at all. I was freaked out looking at the counters, the glass inside and outside the ice cream and the general state of messiness on the counters. I couldn’t even focus on looking at what ice cream I wanted.
I left and told him it was dirty and I didn’t want it, which he was surprised at. We aren’t big germ-​o-​phobes or anything. But it was a busy Thursday night and just thought we’d come back later when it was cleaned up.
Every time we drove or walked by in the following days I would look at the glass doors, and they never changed. Still covered in sticky smears and handprints.
We were finally walking by on our last night and he said let’s check it out. So we walked in to exactly the same thing I had two nights ago. I was hoping I was just being over critical. He stood there for a sec, shook his head and said «Let’s go.»
We walked out, and he said walking down the street, «No way. I felt like I was in a live Petri dish.» So we went to Ben & Jerry’s 3 times that weekend instead.
I can’t comment on the employees since I didn’t even get that far. But it did seem like generally slow service.
I was a Jr. Manager at Penguin’s Frozen Yogurt many years ago, but we had a spotless store — WITH black & white parquet floors — no matter how busy we were — always glass cleaning, it was sparkling. It’s sad that Coldstone obviously doesn’t have a good manager running this store, in literally one of the hottest places in California.

Honestly, this Cold Stone holds a special place in my heart because I used to manage this very store (a LONG time ago) but to see what it has come to, made me kind of sad.
When we walked in I noticed how dirty the whole store was right off the bat, dirty doors, floors, counters, tables, cases, they were ALL a mess and it wasn’t all that busy so I’m sure someone could have done a quick sweep/​wipe down of things.
There was a girl sitting on the half wall near one of the stones who looked to be a friend of one of the employees. Nobody greeted us, nobody asked us if they could help us, employees were walking in and out of the back, none of them actually looked like employees ie: no name tags, aprons, hats, shirts with a logo… they all just looked like they came off the street and jumped behind the counter. The girl who was sitting on the wall got behind the counter, picked up the spades and stared at us, I asked her if she was helping us and she nodded her head. I ordered a smoothie for my husband, I had to tell her 4 different times which one I wanted. She then told another girl what I wanted, the other girl made it after asking 2 more times what we wanted and what size. Needless to say, the smoothie was terrible and was promptly returned for something different. Strike 1
My mom ordered her ice cream, fairly simple, waffle cone, coffee ice cream, almonds and fudge with marshmallow crème on top. The girl asked her to repeat what she wanted 3 times, then told us they didn’t have the marshmallow crème. When we pointed out to her that it was right next to her, she rolled her eyes and asked the other girl behind the counter what ‘this white stuff’ is called. Strike 2
Then it was my turn, I ordered peanut butter ice cream with cookie dough and reeses, she told me they didn’t have peanut butter ice cream, I showed her exactly which one it was, then she proceeded to ‘double check’ by asking one of the other people which one the peanut butter was. Again I had to repeat my order several times before she was able to actually make it. Strike 3
When she was done making our 2 ice cream orders she went into the back to get someone to ring up our order… unfortunately she had already forgotten our order and was whispering to the other girl what she thought we may have ordered, I spoke up and said «excuse me, but I can tell you exactly what we ordered» the girl who made our ice cream turned around, gave a dirty look and walked to the back again while the other girl rang us up.
All in all, the only thing good about this experience was the ice cream. Horrible service, messy store, burning cones, if I could give lower than one star, I would.
The owner/​manager of this franchise needs to whip it’s employees into shape and get this store back up to par because right now, it just plain sucks! Normally on a hot Saturday in June, this store would be packed, unfortunately that was not the case this time. Bad, bad, bad!

This was a perfect, cold treat for 100+ degree weather. The young gal that helped us was very nice and greeted us with a smile. Only a few tables inside, we were the only ones there at the time. Appreciated the AC :)
