We’re talking top of the line crooks and incompetence.
I brought my car into Honda because my check engine light was and the car was really loud. I assumed the two issues were related and that these people would be knowledgeable or at the very least have the computer tell them why the car was acting up.
After a general inspection, I was told over the phone the check engine light was caused by the gas cap and needed to be replaced for $ 40…fine. In addition, I was told to replace the engine gaskets to plug some leaks and while they were working on it, it would save money to replace the timing belt on a car with only 87,000 miles. I reluctantly agreed feeling all my car issues would be solved… NOPE.
They called back after completely all that unnecessary and overpriced work to tell me the car was still running rough and it was the exhaust system causing all the noise. Apparently, they couldn’t figure this out until they cost me $ 970 to solve a $ 40 problem, the check engine light.
So I went there to take my car back and refused to pay. I would rather fight them in court over their stupidity and for not fixing the issue. Honda towed my car back to the service center and would not release my property unless I paid for services I didn’t need, that were thought to fix the problem, or go get a car bond from the court house to have my car released back to me. I attempted to purchase the car bond but they suggested I get proof from Honda for the total amount but when I went to there, the «general manager» aka a stooge who works for Palm Harbor, refused to give me any paperwork unless I paid, and threatened to disable my vehicle by removing the timing belt and putting my old one in the trunk of my car if I returned with a car bond.
So there you go. They don’t know what they are doing, give you unnecessary overpriced services, leave your car in the same shape it was before you brought it in, and force you to pay for their incompetence and crooked ways by strongarming you and your car with threats because they wouldn’t own up to their incompetence. Beware and if you hear the word «rot» which they like to throw around about everything, walk out and find someone who knows what the hell they are talking about. These people are only interested in convincing you to pay for expensive services you don’t need to pay for their stupid diamond earrings.

Love this place… service dept are caring and would not take my car to any other place. The attention is great and service guys are wonderful…

I did not buy my car here, but I’ve been bringing my car here for service pretty much since we moved to Tampa ~4 years ago.
The service advisers have always been kind, but my experience over the last few months has been progressively more and more negative. In June, I had major maintenance done on my car where multiple services were performed. After we left, the brakes were squealing intermittently. My husband and I are not mechanics, and I don’t try to be an expert on things that are not in my field, so I have to leave it up to the professionals to explain and resolve problems with my car. We do not know the causes of this type of thing and no one took the time to explain it to us in plain English. To my surprise, the advisers were consistently dismissive about it since we first noticed it.
6 months and many visits back later, the brakes still squeal. Last time we went in for another service, we asked them to please check the brakes again. When we got the form back showing what was done, it was marked off that the brakes were not inspected. We reiterated that we needed the brakes checked, and a somewhat impatient adviser came out and showed us something like rotor dust (?) and left it at that. I was honestly so tired of going back and forth about this that I gave up and said okay.
I’ve spent thousands of dollars at this location on car service, yet it took me posting my problem online to have a stranger, who I’ve never paid money to, explain what could cause this type of squealing and how to resolve it, and to reassure me that my car is safe. So now I have the knowledge I need to take my car to a mechanic who will make the squealing stop.
It’s not about the squealing, which is apparently just a superficial annoying problem, it’s about the lack of care in explaining this to a paying customer, and the impatience and lack of care of the associates. When I got a follow up call, I let the person on the phone know we were really not happy and she let me know we would get a call back from a manager, which never came (this was a few weeks ago now). At this point, I’m no longer interested in talking to them and will be taking my business elsewhere.
I’m sad to say this Honda location has lost a loyal customer over this. I used to take any opportunity to recommend this place to fellow Honda owners, but I can no longer recommend it.

Always get my car serviced here and it’s always a great experience. I appreciate that I’m not pressured to have any service done and the work done is always great. I plan on continuing to bring my car here!

I brought my car into the service department to replace something that had cracked in half in the car. It was under warranty, but I’ve had bad experiences before where I’ve had to fight for the warranty to cover the repair, but not this time. They honored it with no issues and were very kind. While waiting, I mentioned I wanted to upgrade to a newer vehicle, and the salesman came and showed me some newer ones, with no pressure to buy since my fiancé wasn’t with me. I explained I wouldn’t buy without him, and he understood. Not the typical «you must buy now» pushy attitude, which I was grateful for. Courtesy Palm Harbor Honda has always given me the best service, so I hope to return the favor by purchasing my next Honda from them!

Fast, friendly service! And trustworthy! They’ve never tried to up sell unnecessary services.

After having a horrible experience with Honda service department on Dale Mabry, I decided to get my oil change here. At first, I was very hesitant, but then Mike greeted me at the door and my experience was excellent. Mike, a service advisor, went above and beyond during my visit. He set the proper expectations regarding how long it may take, kept me updated on the status and throughly explained any additional repairs/​suggestions the car needed. It was such a smooth and pleasant experience and I truly appreciated the excellent service. I want to praise Mike because the service advisors are your front line reps for things to go horrible or exceptional. In the case, I was provided excellent service and this will be my new location to go to!!!

I bought my 09 Honda Accord Coupe from them about two years ago and have to get it serviced regularly. They are very helpful in explaining what exactly they did and what, if anything, they suggest I get done and why. Their customer service is great.

Was not happy with the purchasing process, sales team did not seem motivated to help me get the vehicle I wanted. They seemed to judge me and reccomend I get a less expensive vehicle. Little did they know I had a large down payment. Overall I feel I got a fair price, but definitely didn’t get any sort of «deal» on the vehicle. They were not open to negotiating. The service department is great– first oil change was complimentary, made a 8 am appt on a Saturday and was done in 40 mins.

We recently bought a used Mini Cooper from them. It started having a few problems within a week of purchasing… So why the positive rating? Because they handled it very well, even sending the car to a specialist and now it is working much better. So I was very happy they did the right thing! I would buy a used car from them again.

Had an amazing experience buying here! Zero pressure it was so relaxed. They discounted the internet price without us even negotiating. No games and no gimmicks. We got a great value for our trade. Desiree and Ray are good people! Will definitely be coming back for our next car.

THEY SUCK!!! Do Not Bother w/​These People! I had a recall on my car and I laughed when my appt for service was 6 wks away. I called the week before to check on the part and they never called me back, after they said they would. I called the day before and I got a cold attitude from them when I tried to confirm the part was there. After showing up at 0700, I caught their shuttle home and waited. I received a call at 0945 about 2 completely different issues (tire rotation and low battery voltage) when it was my airbags they had to remove and replace. At 4pm, I called on the status of my car and was told they had contacted me and left a message, all LIES! I told them I needed a ride back up there, they said their driver had an emergency and he was going to have to find a replacement, but didn’t know if it was going to be today or tomorrow. At that point, I let him have it. I realize they aren’t making any money off of me, but I will NEVER do business with them again and neither will anyone I know!
On top of everything else, they kept my spare key after I showed up the next morning to get my car. It was an airbag recall, like everyone else. I’d rather you be upfront about the time or parts «Theresa» than lies and the run around!

Had a very pleasant experience in purchasing a new vehicle. Didn’t feel pressured and the staff was quite accommodating. My salesperson was Boris and he was by far the best salesperson I’ve ever encountered.

Purchased a 2005 Lexus GX470. The carfax was clean and they said a little old lady owned it previously and she had doubts about trading in the car because she loved it so much. I now know that was a lie. In the 8 months I owned the car I spent over 5k fixing it. Convinced this was a good car I would keep for years.
Finally one day on the way home the power brakes went out. Since I have a wife and child I knew I couldn’t keep this car so I sold it at a loss to get rid of it quickly.
Avoid this dealership. They sell lemon cars and wouldn’t stand behind the sale.

The lease on my daughters car came due and she chose to buy the car. I contacted Courtesy Palm Harbor Honda to have them assist us in this, and even told them we’d look at financing it through their service. This is the first time I have ended a lease, and was looking for guidance. The sales team came back and said it would cost over $ 13,000 to buy the car. I was very surprised as the buy out amount was a little over $ 11,000. They said this would include, tax, license fees, a DEALER FEE and INSPECTION FEE. After I challenged them on the fee, they said they would lower the price of the car to help with the purchase. This is when I understood, I was giving them the car and they were selling it back to me. I quickly did more research and found that I could do the entire transaction directly with Honda for NO FEES. I saved my daughter $ 1500 dollars, at least.
I would steer clear of these guys, they tried to rip off my daughter and showed no remorse when I called them out. They would have made a nice tidy sum on the financing and gotten more sales in the future. Now I will NEVER return, I am telling everyone I know that they are thieves, and publicly taking the time to write this review outlining my reasons.
I know, buyer beware, but somewhere along the way you should begin to understand that this kind of behavior will eventually come back to bite you. Losing customers and future business.

After the absolute WORST experience at Crown Honda in Pinellas Park we returned to Courtesy Palm Harbor Honda (CPHH). Unfortunately our bank sent us to Crown first because of an affiliation they have and apparent «deal» they had for us. We were hoping CPHH had the affiliation but they did not.
We initially test drove the Accord Sport at CPHH with Boris. He had excellent customer service and knew everything about the car. After the test drive, he provided us with a booklet, his business card and introduced us to his manager.
Two days later we returned (after the terrible experience at Crown) and requested Boris, who unfortunately had left for the evening (we showed up at 740pm). However, Rabee another young man agreed to help us who also demonstrated excellent customer service.
We told them our horror story at Crown (I did write a separate review for them, feel free to read) and told them our price including trade. There was absolutely NO haggling and the manager gave us $ 6,300 for our trade (Crown wouldn’t budge on a laughable $ 4,000) and accepted our deal.
Rabee noticed my USF College of Nursing sticker and asked if I was a nurse and demonstrated genuine interest in me and my husband. The manager also spent much time talking to us and his experiences being a manager and how customer service always beats «the deal»
Once purchased, Rabee spent time showing us how to use the car and took photos of us to celebrate. We were recommended to use CPHH by a friend and we will recommend it to everyone! Thank you to Boris, Rabee, the manager and financial advisor for a seamless car buying experience!!!

Bought a car here last night and was very impressed with the sales staff. They gave me a great price and kept their word which is nice. Dealt with 3 – 5 different people all were friendly and helpful and none were pushy.
Definitely recommend this Honda dealership over others in the area… Who weren’t so awesome.

I get my car’s oil changed every three months or so, so when the little wrench popped up, I knew I had to make a call and get an appointment. I called on Thursday afternoon, about 4:30. When the service department answered, I asked about Saturday times. Unless I was leaving my car with them, they didn’t have anything available until 3pm. I was fine with that.
When I arrived at 3pm, I was told that they’d get my car in as soon as possible. I’m fine with waiting a bit, I’m a patient soul. While waiting, they played a movie on the DVR, but it’s nearly impossible to watch a movie in their waiting room with all the ambient noise. The volume is either too much, or not enough, there is no happy medium.
It was almost exactly 1 hour to the dot, and my car was finished. She runs beautifully now. Thank you, Courtesy Palm Harbor Honda for doing an excellent job on a tire rotation and oil change. You always do good work.
