History

Established in 2011.

Venus Studios opened in May of 2011 in a small shop on Highway 111 in Palm Desert. We later added a studio space a block away to hold classes and workshops. In October of 2012 Venus Studios relocated both the art supply store and studio into one combined location on Corporate Way in Palm Desert. In September of 2013 we doubled our workshop and classroom space and added private rental studios. We currently occupy suites 7 & 8 in the Art Place located at 41 801 Corporate Way.

Business Owner

Debra Ann Mumm is an award winning working artist and art materials expert with over 25 years experience in the field of artists materials and education. Debra is a member of the International Art Materials Trade Association, International Society of Acrylic Painters, Morongo Basin Cultural Arts Council and Board of Directors for the Desert Business Association, past board member at the Palm Springs Art Museum Artists Council, and a community activist, public speaker, curator and administrator for public art in the Coachella Valley.
