The Shop Palm Desert

First impression was great. The staff was friendly and shop had some impressive work going on. I had worked for GEICO for more than a decade and have seen quite a few places in the desert before choosing them. I dropped off my 1966 T-​Bird today. I hope they can breath some life back into her.

I have an old hot rod and there’s VERY few places I would trust to work on it. The Shop is one of those places. Very friendly and extremely knowledgeable staff… They went above and beyond my expectations!

My car was involved in a fender bender and I hit a curb and bent the hell out of the front tire, a-​arm, brake etc. I have known about the shop for a long time as I am a car enthusiast and have seen their work at the Dr. George car shop and several others. I called Dan, scheduled an appointment and met him with my car and the insurance info. He was very kind and told me it would be 3 – 5 days to deal with the insurance company, order parts etc. Two days later I got a call telling me my car was done! The guys of the shop were AWESOME! You cannot tell anything ever happened. Dan and staff are very friendly, diligent and detail oriented (as is obvious by looking at the cars they are customizing in the shop)!
I will not use another repair shop so long as Dan and the boys of «The Shop» are around!

Stay away, rip off, scam artist. Told us are our car was over heating because fan was not working never once conducting a test to see the cause of overheating replaced fan car still overheating then told us we needed to replace thermastate, temp gauge, water pump, car was still over heating also said after all this that the heads were blown, which was not the case took the car for a second opinion and the heads were not blown. Also had him put in a dash conversion kit and it was not working as well. Had us pay 2,500 for a car that was still overheating and the dash was not properly working. Don’t waste your money.
