Fun bar! Well run with good staff. Outdoor patio. Live music is great especially when The Hive Minds play or indie rockers Chill Magnet with special guest DJ Noriega. Then it feels like a party!

We came to the Red Barn three nights in a row while in town for a company sales meeting. Kevin took us home each night. Rob and Steve took such great care of us at the bar. The last night they even helped us find cheeseburgers at 1am! We loved the shuffleboard table and appreciated all the great service! Music was great as well. Highly recommended!

Yesterday I finally gave Red Barn a chance. This is the dive bar I had been looking for. Kevin was bartending. He said he usually is the driver. Yes, this bar has a shuttle service so call ahead to get a ride. Tipping is a lot cheaper than a DUI! Later another bartender came on too… I think his name was Andrew. He was a little more quiet, but very easygoing and polite. The patrons were great. They were regulars and pretty friendly. The bar is very low key. As other reviews stated, they have a shuffle board table, jukebox, pool table, and dart board. They also have outdoor bar area too. The only reason they didn’t get 5 stars is because they didn’t have a few beers I hoped for. The Angry Orchard wasn’t listed, but the bartender found me one :). I really wanted a Shocktop, Blue Moon or fruity beer/cider. Initially, I had a Hefe. I did like that they carried Sierra Nevada and Hangar 24. I also wished they had draft beer. I’ll be back again!

I totally get that people have their favorite«go-to» bar or restaurant bar. I just don’t see the appeal for this one. Maybe they’ve remodeled or made it better. But it’s pretty bare and ghetto. The back outside area is questionable. Well, I supposed the whole place is really. One thing I can see the appeal in this place is that it’s a good spot for the industry workers(those that work in the restaurant business) because you don’t have to deal with snowbirds or foofy drinks(unless that’s what you want). But it’s just a building that looks like a barn on the outside that is red. Inside is bare, dirty, and ghetto. It’s unappealing. If you’re from out of town and looking for a dive bar, this is one out of the many divey bars in the desert for you. Cheers.

I left my wallet at red barn with no ID in it just cash. I called to see if they had it a day later and sure enough they did with my cash in it. Thank you Red Barn for being honest and keeping my wallet and cash safe!

Great dive bar with a wonderful array of townies. Good strong drinks, pool, shuffleboard, and outside seating. Friendly barkeeps made us feel welcome.

Garbage bar, garbage staff. If you’re in a band, don’t ever book a show here. One of the bouncers will just keep yelling at you to turn it down, and some drunk broad at the bar will keep yelling«PLAYSOMETHINGWEALLKNOW» Also, the carpets look like something out of a 80’s porn set, later repurposed as carpeting for a fast food play area. Cheap drinks, fantastic! Buy honestly, I would rather buy gas station liquor for half of that ‘cheap’ price and drink myself to death alone, in my room, blasting Creed than hanging out at the Red Barn on a Friday night. Just go down the street to the Hood. At least they have some appreciation for music over there.

The Red Barn aka Barnacle is the best dive bar in the valley hands down. Cheap drinks, great bartenders and a great atmosphere. Always a fun amazing time here, especially in the back patio when you hear two people bust out singing, «I wish you would step back from that ledge my friend. You could, cut ties with all the lies that you’ve been living with and if you do not want to see me again, I would understand.» Love this place

COOLDIVEBAR!!! Yes, a mighty fine dive bar at that. They have one pool table, one shuffleboard, and a patio. The bar is stocked with beers of all kinds, liquor, and wine. If you don’t like dive bars, don’t go, and if you’re the type to complain about places like this then they probably don’t want you there to begin with. This is your local, entertaining dive bar, and a good one at that. They have live shows here and there as well.

No pressure, no bs local hangout bar. They have good music, although they provide a variety… sometimes you get hip hop but not often. Mostly live ROCK cover bands that are generally very good… sometimes VERYGOOD ! Nice dance floor, shuffleboard and pool. A bunch of big screens showing sports programs… even have one outside in the smoking patio. Generous pours and GREAT prices. Footlong all beef hotdogs is usually the only food but they have a «Taco Lady» just outside the door on weekends. Great Staff, plenty of Security Guys that are very cool, friendly, helpful and efficient… no problem people allowed /tolerated. Everybody from the neighborhood locals, snowbirds, an occasional celebrity, upscale folks just kicking it, and a mix of young and older folks. Very casual and comfortable. Great Sportsbar /HANG OUTBAR. I go often for the pool and good prices on the stiff drinks.

Great dive bar. This used to be the spot for my coworkers/friends when we lived in the desert. Drinks are made well, prices are reasonable.

How do you rate the Red Barn? Totally«divey» but always so much fun. The bands are usually pretty good but the bartenders are the reason we always go back. Robert is the sweetest bartender I have ever met! The place is small so if going to see a band, get there early.

First timer here… From going around nightclubs I ended up at this chill place all overdressed :-(. The staff was kind and friendly, everybody was just doing their own thing dancing to the live rock band, and a good dj. Very tiny restrooms though. Will come back again in a more casual outfit lol :)

The vibe here has changed dramatically, the old barn days are gone. I remember the days of rock shows, and fire pits on the patio. Now it’s just a mismatched bunch of folks, and most of us old barn animals have moved on to a new watering hole. This review has no reflection on the bartenders they are still awesome, but the new owner has changed the place into something that the red barn was never meant to be…

Business is fantastic. Tall blonde bartender was a sweetheart. Doorman was kind and a good guy. Patrons are white trash, late, trying, angry, «punk rock» and«metal.» Really, they are just big fish in a little pond. If they thought they were as cool as they thought they were, they wouldn’t be in the middle of no-where desert. A for effort

The have a van that will pick you up which is a nice feature. This is a nice local dive bar. Live music, cheap drinks, and overall a decent place. This is a good spot in town to go if you are looking just to drink with friends.

Came here after dinner and I was not sure what to expect. It was definitely a dive bar with a live band playing. The band did some cover songs and then I think some originals, and they were pretty decent. We decided to dress up that night and I must say we were a bit out of place. The drinks were reasonably priced, way better pours than the resort, thank goodness! It’s not a very big place, has a few tables and a pool table. This is usually not my type of scene, but overall we had a decent time there. When I tried ordering a drink, I had to repeat myself 3 times, he still didn’t know what I was asking, then the lady in the back heard no problem and got me my drink… Thank you! Just an FYI this is what you call your local hangout, so you might feel slightly out of place. However, if you are looking for a decent time, with some good drinks, this is your place.

Went here last night with some of my friends. We were visiting Palm Desert and just looking for a fun place to drink. We Unilocaled this place and it had good reviews so we went. Definitely dress casual! If you’re looking for a dive bar with cheap drinks and a jukebox this is your place. If you’re from out of town everyone there will know! It’s 100% a local hangout but no one was rude so it was fine. If you’re not buzzed walking in you should drink quickly or you probably won’t have a good time. The bartenders pour a stiff drink and it’s super cheap! The place was definitely smaller then expected but they have an outdoor patio which was pretty nice. Overall we had a good time for what it was.

Good bar for a stuff drink and break from desert prices. Service was friendly and efficient. We felt welcome and comfortable. The crowd is definitely younger and rowdier than most spots around town. Music was DJ and he was all about hiphop. Whatevs. Our drinks were good and we were entertained!
