I have had similar awful experiences and now he seems to be AWOL.

I have considered Daryl to be my attorney as he helped me incorporate my business and create a Trust for my wife and I. All seemed to go well and I even recommended him to some of my clients. However, since last summer when I had a couple of questions for him I have not been able to reach him by phone, email, mail. Although his website is active and he still has his name on his office door and on the building; there is never anyone there. The building manager could only give me a cell phone number which goes unanswered and his office phone voice mail is always full. He has apparently been absent since around June of 2015 and has left many clients in a crisis who have paid him and not received his services. In addition, he has legal documents in his possession that he isn’t giving back. I have had no recourse but to initiate a formal complaint with the CA State Bar Association. I don’t know what has happened to him but it’s not good and no one should engage in any new business with him.

Why wouldn’t a respectable lawyer return records to Clients that are not his, at the very minimum? Troubles don’t prevent a person from just telling the truth. Know what happened to cause ‘interruption of service’ could go a long way in resolving problems even if the money is way gone.
If anyone reading this is concerned and upset about their treatment by these Law Offices, their records now inaccessible, and their money, consider filing an Attorney Complaint form with the State Bar of California. This is the mechanism for telling your truth and helping prevent more victims.
No fully completed work, no returned calls nor email, locked offices but no clues, and a building manager said they haven’t been seen since around June 2015 and now it’s February 2016.
If I could give a 0 or a Minus rating, I would. Now, I’m worried, upset and uncertain about the next steps. Let’s just hope that none of us – his clients — die while waiting to figure out the mystery behind the Vanished Attorney of Palm Desert. Who knows what shape our survivors/​heirs would be in if that occurred?
