Since I moved to this area a few years ago, I have had a lot of trial and error with hair stylists and it took forever to find one I liked. Finally, very thankful to have found Natalie at this salon. She does GREAT color… I have darker blonde hair that I like to wear highlighted and with fun grey hair thrown in there it’s a bit complex. She does a wonderful job with highlights and lowlights to make it look perfect and very natural. Her cuts are great too. She’s all around very talented and her prices are affordable, making it an exceptional value. Very highly recommend her!

I’m one of those people hair dressers hate. Not really– but I just have BAD hair — it’s thin, wavy and difficult. So imagine my fear when I was staying out here and needed a color and cut desperately. Thank goodness I saw this salon. First off the salon is really nice. The best part was Emily– she knew exactly how to do my color and I won’t have to go back for her to correct it. I love the way she cut and styled my hair. It was just like the picture I showed her. Her price was right too. I will definitely be going back to this place!

Ashley is not only a great hair stylist, but an amazing makeup artist! She did my hair and makeup for my wedding and it turned out so beautiful! Also she has been hi-​lighting and cutting my hair for awhile and it always turns out perfect. Would absolutely recommend her to anyone!

This salon is amazing!!! I had a horrible experience at another salon that I had an appoinment with and after waiting 20 minutes, meanwhile my stylist was still with another client, I decided to call Karl Vasquez Salon. To my surprise, Lori was available to cut and blow-​dry my hair! I raced over there and from the second I walked in I was relieved, Lori was waiting and ready to greet me! She knew I was stressed to get my hair done before the holiday! With ease Lori did an amazing job! Exactly what I wanted and didnt even have to show her a picture! Also very reasonable prices! The best! Definately only going here to get my hair done from now on!

Nikki is an amazing hairstylist. She’s fast, efficient, and knows her color. Located off of hwy 111 at the light shared with the Nest, Full-​service salon with nails, eyebrows etc. This salon has a real comfortable laid-​back feel, a relaxing place to go.

Walked into Karl’s early tuesday morning, based on previous reviews i decided that anyone there would be capable of giving me a trim. Was very satisfied with my experience, i was greeted as i came in by a lovely lady, who ended up cutting my hair. Fun conversation and a great cut. Alyssa was her name. Thank you, i’ll return.

I recently had my stylist retire and was looking for a new salon for my hair cuts and a little coloring. A friend recommended Chivon at Karl Vasquez Salon so I an appointment and tried it. I couldn’t happier. Chivon seemed to know exactly what I was looking for and worked her magic. Chivon is as great a person as she is a stylist and makes each visit fun. Everyone there is so friendly.

I actually got my hair done there by Elizabeth who is clearly a gifted and special person. She is like the female version of Edward Scissor hands, minus the creepy part. Somehow you melt into her chair. She’s truly a master of her craft. She also happens to be gorgeous inside and out.

I was in town for the weekend and decided I needed change. I called the salon and Chivon answered on Saturday around 2 p.m. I said, «I know it’s probably too late, but do you have any availability today?»
Chivon told me she was leaving for the day, but would be willing to wait for me. That’s customer service without even knowing me!
I got to the salon and Chivon was there waiting for me. She was very put together and I knew I was in good hands. She cut off about 4 inches (I told you I needed a change) and I came out of there feeling like a new woman. Those of you who live in Palm Desert or are just visiting and in need, call me girl, Chivon!

I visited a friend in Palm Desert and had the pleasure of having some high lights put in by Karl himself, and OMG, that man is a MASTER! Elizabeth worked with me as well, and she was such a pleasure and a crack up — I think she might have to be my new best friend. Or we knew each other in a past life — either way, I’m SO thrilled I stumbled onto this find — if you need your hair done in this town, this place takes the CAKE!

I am new to the Coachella Valley and since having my hair taken care of so amazingly by Karl Vasquez Salon and Stylist Chivon Stemmer, I’ve never looked better. The highlights and color are outstanding. It is a total pamper day when I’m there. Chivon recently did a Brazilian Blowout on my long hair, and it came out beautiful! I get compliments all the time and of course, refer them to Karl Vasquez salon. #1 in the desert for sure.

Ohhhh how I miss my «Karl» hair days… I lived in Palm Desert for several years and Karl did my hair, both cut and color. Since I moved I can’t find anyone that even comes close! I was also able to work with Karl on a professional level. He donated his time and skill to the Bob Hope Classic girls year after year. He was always available, always professional, incredibly kind and never expected anything in return. As a business owner he saw it important to give back to his community and spent countless hours doing so.

I am visiting Palm Desert for the winter and really needed to have my hair color redone as well as a good trim and style. I visited the net to do some research. I decided to try Karl Vasquez Salon in El Paseo and I choose well. Ashley was a dream to work with, she explained what she would do, she is so personable.
