We love people, we love parties and we love making our clients happy. We can accommodate almost any catering budget, from an intimate and private dinner party to a 500 person corporate catering event. Weddings, quinceañeras, anniversaries, holiday parties, barbeques, corporate events, offsite events; we can do them all.
We have been serving the Coachella Valley since 1993. Weddings and Corporate events are our specialty. With an eye for design and décor, assisting brides in planning and executing one of the most important events of their lives, make us thrilled and excited to be caterers. We live to make our brides happy and make it as special a day as possible.
In addition to food we can provide alcohol, wait and bartending staff and equipment rental.
History
Established in 1993.
CBD was created at Pepper Maggie’s restaurant in Palm Desert by owner Margarita Mrazek Coss. Born in Mexico with a family background from Cuba, Czechoslovakia, Mexico and Spain, she had a love for travel and international food. Pepper Maggie’s specialized in Latin American Cuisine. Having served authentic dishes from many countries for so many years, the transition to catering was a natural fit. The idea of expanding to a more international menu came when a client and friend requested an Indian menu for his party. He would supervise the chef with his own recipes and help with all the other suggestions needed to create marvelous Indian feast. The first International catering was born! Since 1995 Catering by Design has served many different themes and menus, from a good old American BBQ to a Moroccan evening under the stars. With an ever expanding palette of wonderful and original dishes, Catering By Design can turn any party into a celebration of food and cheer.

Business Owner
Margarita has lived in the Coachella Valley most of her life. While going to school for an Interior Design degree she worked in the restaurant business managing several Coachella Valley restaurants. Margarita’s love for food and design led her to open her own restaurant, Pepper Maggie’s in 1993. After 12 successful years of business she converted it into a catering business. Catering by Design was born. Catering By Design is happy to serve the entire Coachella Valley and greater Inland Empire.
