Some of the best ribs I have had! It’s always busy to prepare just to look for a parking space. All the boaters come here too and they sell live bait for fishing. Def recommend !

Great bbq and views of the water. Well shaded and you can eat outside. I’m a fan of the ribs and fries. It’s located in a county park where there is an old homestead currently in excavation. You can fish off the pier and have a ball. The only reason it didn’t get five stars is because of the dirt parking lot. Stay out of Palm Coast. Most of the restaurants are awful.

Pulled pork and brisket were amazing. Good choice of sauces as well. One recent reviewer said brisket was dry, but must have been an off day for them. Mine was dripping with juice. They have beer and wine and a varied menu. It’s very laid back atmosphere, with a number system to go pick up your food. Seating was great– looking out at the inter-​coastal waterways. Restaurant is located within a county park. We were able to go from the restaurant to a pontoon boat one day, and then go walk around the park and sit at the tables outside on another day. I didn’t have any, but I’ve heard they have really good cheesecake as well due to owner’s background.

Brisket was a bit dry. St. Louis ribs tasty, but not juicy. I would not come back.
Waitress was very nice.

Best bbq place around! Their ribs are amazing ! Savory and Fall off the bone! Used to get their pulled pork sandwich or brisket sandwich but now I know how good the ribs are I can’t Order anything else. I never have room for dessert but they do have really good lookin homemade desserts when you first walk in. Also the view of the intercostal is amazing especially at sunset !

Great food with a great view. Came in with a few people and all ordered different sides to get a taste of the options. Everything was delicious and done very well. I highly recommend sitting on the patio with the view of the river. A great option for a casual lunch and i look forward to trying it again.

Enjoyed lunch here while on vacation. Absolutely loved the smoked ribs. The sides were ok– I wish I would have just ordered half rack of ribs and not a plate.

Location: this is a nice spit on the water. The restaurant is small with limited seating inside and a screened in deck with seating. Overall most of the people were nice and there was not much «hovering» waiting for seats. There was a couple that was kind of pushing some customers out of the seats next to us so I guess expending on how busy it is people may not let you sit and relax while you enjoy your meal.
Service: the service was fine. Just a standard walk up and order. They call your number and you go to a window and pick up the food. Not to much that can go wrong. The wait for the food was not too long.
Gluten free options: they have gluten free beer options and good selections for the food. A couple of the BBQ sauces a are gluten free too.
Kids: they do have kids meals. There is no milk… which was ok… But our kids get milk everywhere with kids meals. My kids like cornbread but we’re not fans of the cornbread here. They also did not like the Mac and cheese. My wife tastes the Mac and cheese and did say that something tasted weird about it so I would probably choose something else. My kids also got hot dogs. They are smoked and one of my kids would not eat it because of the smoked flavor.
Adults: I got the pulled pork plate with coleslaw and whipped sweet potatoes. The portion is big and the pulled pork had a nice smoke flavor to it. The coleslaw was a little runnier than I prefer my coleslaw to be… But you kind of never know what you are going to get when you order coleslaw out. There was a good selection of sauces. They have honey, a mustard based sauce and hot and spicy. The hot and spicy is not hot or spicy.
My wife got the brisket sandwich. It again was a big portion. She had said that the brisket was cooked good and she seemed to enjoy it.
Overall I thought the BBQ food was some of the best that I have had on the area. It is a nice location to sit and watch some boats come in and out and just enjoy nature. But… If your kids do not liked smoky flavored food it may not be great for them. And I would probably opt for some different sides than the Mac and cheese and coleslaw.

I would literally book flights back into that area just for the food… and it’s a 4 hour trip.
If your looking for fine dining décor, this isnt it. BUT, if your looking for a casual place to unwind and eat food cooked with passion, this is your place. For the life of me I can’t understand why people eat at chain restaurants when places like this exist… just not even close.

Fantastic ribs and Yummy sides. Our family loves to eat BBQ here when we come into town. Restaurant not fancy but it does the job. We like to order and pick up and eat beachside.

I had the brisket yesterday and the pulled pork sandwich today.
Great brisket! Beet feta salad was good too. The mac n cheese isn’t my favorite though… it’s the creamy kind not the baked kind that I like.
The hot bbq sauce is really good.
Again, the owners are real nice people and that means a lot to me.

In my opinion one can never have too much BBQ.
We were on our way down from Savannah driving home to Miami and we had already planned out lunch should be at 1pm. Palm Coast was a perfect pit stop and good BBQ can do no wrong.
I ordered the combo choosing ribs, brisquette, potatoe salad, and their original style beans.
Their Louisiana Smoked Ribs were perfectly pink, mouthful meaty bites and not much fat. They’re sauces are perfect and distinct from each other so try them all.
The Brisquette was delicious, you didn’t need a knife as it easily came apart and melted in your mouth, again limited fat, and perfect to dip or pour on the different sauces.
The special beans had chunks of meat, and stewed peppers, and full of flavor.
The potatoe salad was the perfect combination of blandness and crunch to help clean your pallette between sauces and smokey flavors.
Save room for dessert! The key lime pie was perfection in its sweet tangy and tart flavor.
Come on in, have a southern cooked meal you won’t regret.

This place is consistently awesome! We usually get the brisket… enormous portions. sooo good! Sides are all top notch as well. Good variety of sauces to close from from hot to vinegar to sweet. Nice spot on the inter coastal-​not fancy just yummy!

Husband and I stopped in for a quick bite and had high expectations from the 4.5 rating on Unilocal– yikes, we are foodies who travel all over and am sad to report the beet salad came straight out of a can and the Mac n cheese (a BBQ staple) was cold and liquid weirdness.

I am in Florida for a mini vacation and my boyfriends family recommended this place, so I gave it a try. Being in a coastal area, I was skeptical of ordering BBQ rather than seafood. Boy was I wrong. This place was wonderful! The ribs fell off the bone, and were truly the best I’ve had to date. And their mustard based BBQ sauce was so good that I could have put it on just about anything. Mac and cheese was good as was potato salad. My only recommendation is to make sure to ask for extra sauce because they don’t give you quite enough with takeout orders. Will be returning again on our next trip, without a doubt.

Fantastic BBQ, really the best in the area. Everything is smoked locally and done just right. Sides are delicious although the mac n cheese is kind of bland. The collard greens are the best. Don’t miss their breakfast on Friday, Saturday and Sunday until 10:30. You can sit on the deck and watch the boats go by, or take it to go across the streets and over to the beach at Malacompra.

Wow! I love everything about this place. Great craft beer selection and the barbeque and sides are exceptional. I ordered the brisket with collards and both were perfect. They know how to smoke brisket!

I choose Captains BBQ catering for a Christmas Party I had at the Hammock Beach Resort due to their Unilocal Reviews. I had stopped by ahead and made the food reservation and was very pleased that the restaurant was able to accommodate my needs.
The portions were generous and as we chose the Brisket which was tender and the turkey which was gobbled so quick I didn’t get any and of course the Ribs which where a favorite. We had Coleslaw and Macaroni and Cheese for our sides. I loved the Cole slaw! Together, the service and the meal made for a wonderful dining experience. We’d happily come back.
