Alterations by Lisa

I had a dress altered for my daughter’s 8^th grade school dance, and I was told the amount for the alterations would be $ 80 when I dropped the dress off. Then when I picked it up, the woman tried to charge me an extra $ 3 for for using a check. I would have paid cash had I been told in advance. It was only like $ 3 more, but it was the point, you can’t tell someone a price and change it on them. Well I definitely wasn’t happy and she and I got into an argument, which was crazy, I have never had anyone in any store act as crazy as she did. I know she wasn’t the owner, but that was unbelievable!!! I wrote the check for the extra $ 3 but the owner finally came over and handed me the $ 3 back. I will never use that establishment again! I understand that with credit cards that there can be additional charges for using them, but I have never heard of that with a check. I don’t like when businesses try to get the customers to pay «cash only», it makes me feel like they are trying to avoid paying taxes, not saying that happens here because they do take other methods of payment, but you are charged for them, which to me is just plain crazy! I did report this to the better business bureau.

I had 6 curtain panels that needed to have the hem dropped 4 inches. Lisa was able to handle this quickly and affordably. Thank you!
