DoubleTree Palm Beach Gardens

This place is a craphole! Property is extremely old. Tubs and showers are filthy. Beds have old memory foam mattress toppers that are incredibly uncomfortable. Stay elsewhere and save yourself the gross out?!!

This place is in major need of an upgrade. Feels dirty. The room was a tad chilly at night (around 66 degrees) so I went to adjust the thermostat. The heater kicked on and smelled TERRIBLE! I immediately turned it off because it smelled like it was going to catch fire. I turned on the shower to try to alleviate the horrible smell and the water pressure was poor, the water, barely hot, and the drain was not working very well. This place needs to be updated because the wear and tear is extremely unappealing. Customer service is a positive, and the downstairs lobby is very nicely decorated and cute. The actual accommodations, however, do not make me feel comfortable at all. The room reminds me of a crappy, musty smelling beach motel. Would not stay here again.

The beds are super comfortable and new. We enjoyed fresh cookies from the front desk. Went to a conference and the conference rooms are spacious and it was very upscale with large conference rooms and large restrooms. We had a quiet room and there is a Starbuck’s inside and we frequented that, yummy. Can’t hardly wait till next year’s conference I will be going back again to this Double Tree. There are lots of great restaurants just up the street and it is a very nice community. (Also, my husband and son went to the beach about 4 – 5 miles away while I was at the conference and they loved it.)

Stayed four nights for a wedding. Hotel was very accommodating, welcoming, really clean, great pool area, hot tub. Staff was friendly and helpful all hours as we flew in at all different times. Hotel bar stayed open late for us the night of the wedding and never blinked as our group joined an orchestra that was staying and made new friends due to the atmosphere provided. Would highly recommend for groups and events!

This is a pleasant hotel to stay at. It is and older property and the room style reflects the age. It is near I-​95 with the noise levels that go along with it. Wi-​Fi was good, but it didn’t always work and was spotty in the pool area.
On the plus side, parking is plentiful, the rooms are nicely appointed, the staff is great and the overall accommodations are good. My wife and I were there for a convention and the meeting rooms were great. My daughter loved the pool and hot tub. It is well situated in a central hub of Palm Beach Gardens. I’d come back again.

Great Hospitality, nice Lobby, good Breakfast and really cool pool area but… The room stinks!

It’s a very beautiful property and huge executive room. I stayed here for company meetings for a week. Lobby and bar is exceptional. The room was very must feeling and humid. Internet worked well. Service was great. Traffic noise needs to be reduced along with the damp feeling and had the a/​c on max and never quite got cool enough that I could sleep under the covers.

I didn’t stay in their rooms but came here for a workshop 5 days in a row. Their meeting rooms are very spacious, with great boards and very comfortable reclining chairs with arm rests. They have plenty of free guest parking. The location is great, close and walking distance to Publix, CVS, sushi restaurant, Starbucks and a plaza with many more restaurants. Close to the I95 and minutes driving to the Turnpike. I would recommend this hotel for meetings, seminars, lectures or workshops.

I stayed here on one night while on a business trip this week. I found it to be a nice property. My room was nice sized. The ac worked well. I did think the bathroom was small especially the counter top. Also the drain in my bathtub didn’t drain well. I reported it at check out. They have a special lounge for Hilton Honors members that also serves a breakfast.
I would stay here again. Front desk staff was courteous.

I called before booking a room here to make sure they had HBO because I was planning on ordering the #MAYPAC fight, but when I checked in the woman at the front desk tells me they canceled HBO for the weekend specifically because of the fight. Never heard that one before. But it was an okay stay I GUESS, the rooms are old fashioned in my opinion. but regardless 2 stars for lying.

We stayed here on our last night in Florida, and I was really impressed. Not sure why the reviews are so low?
The room was huge and the best comfortable and it wasn’t expensive at all! The pool was packed with people much younger and with better bodies than I, but that’s what happens when you get old!
The guy in the counter was also nice/​funny and could give Mel Brooks a run for his money! Really don’t understand the low reviews as everything here was top notch, especially with the price tag associated with it.

I just stayed here for two nights during a business trip. Although I am only giving it 3 stars, this is a good hotel and a very good set up.
It is an average hotel on my scale since a Ritz Carlton would be a 5 star. But the overall hotel experience is good. The location is directly next to I-​95 and across the street from a pretty large shopping/​dining area with several very good restaurants within walking distance.
Many great golf courses are nearby but for a solid hotel, big pool, hot tub, gym, restaurant, lobby bar, guest hospitality room with snacks and tv and an overall positive experience, this is a good choice.

Hotel looks nice on the outside and the lobby is nice but the rooms are old and need updates. The bathrooms need updated badly. This is a great location but will not stay here again.

Cigar smoke on the 6^th floor. The entire floor wreaked of smoke. We were told it would be addressed. The smell lingered for the two days we were there. We had made reservations one month in advance. When we arrived we were told the room was not ready. It was around 3:30 in the afternoon and they told us it would be ready by 4:00 PM. and they would tell us when it was ready. We sat in the lobby directly in front of the check in desk. For the next following hour we watched a steady stream of Customers check in sometimes there were 4 – 5 customers in line at a time. After all of those folks were checked in we inquired about our room again. Of Course, «oh yes it is ready for you now»! They told us to have a seat and totally forgot about the us. Very poor Customer Service.

BED BUGS BED BUGS! This is one of the worst hotels I have stayed in over 20 years. How this place is rated 3.5 stars on priceline I will never know. Both my employee and I were staying in separate rooms. My issues were bad but pale in comparison to my employee. Specifically, upon arrival, I had stained sheets, flies in my room, backed up sink plumbing, and a smelly bathtub drain. Our rooms were reserved by a company we were training with and paid for by me. I left the hotel and put the privacy placard on the outside of the door, I let the company know that reserved the rooms about my problems, and I stated that I would take care of it when I returned that evening. The company emailed the hotel with my issues. Instead of waiting for me or apologizing, the hotel proceeded to enter my room WITHOUT MY PERMISSION, took the sheets downstairs, photographed them from over 8 feet away, and drafted an email to the company in an attempt to make me look like a liar (little did they know that I had taken close up photos of the stains beforehand). While they were in the room, they clearly handled my laptop (it was closed when I returned and opened when I left), which has sensitive client information on it (I am a lawyer). Not only did they invade my privacy (clearly declared with the door placard), but they, WITHOUT CONSENT also handled my property without my permission. Ironically enough, the «new» sheets they placed on my bed were also stained. When I returned the next week, they gave me a different room where the toilet handle fell off, there were more flies, the wall had patches, and the sheets again had tears and stains on them.
With regards to my employee, the situation was similar regarding stained sheets and patched walls, but got much much worse. Approximately three days ago, he woke up with a number of bumps and bleeding, open sores. As a result, he pulled his sheets up only to find BED BUGS. He immediately brought this to the attention of the hotel staff, who, instead of apologizing, denied him access to his room, his clothing, and his belongings. They placed him into another room and did not offer him any kind of medical treatment, medical care, or compensation for the room. In fact, they indicated to him that he had to wait until they could verify bed bugs before they would even discuss the issue. This «bug guy», as the hotel referred to him, was not even scheduled to come until the next day. While he asked for a manager the same day of the incident, no one would speak to him until over a day later when he started getting extremely mad and expressing issues. When I called the manager to discuss the problem, he immediately began interrupting me, yelling, disputing issues with me, and arguing me. This was as unprofessional of a conversation as I have ever had. NOT ONCE DID HE APOLOGIZE FOR THE BEDBUGS or my invasion of privacy before or after this conversation. When asked if he would comp. the room, he said «well, that isn’t happening» indicating that even though their room was now confirmed (by that «bug guy») to have bed bugs, we should still be responsible for paying for the room. In fact, when provided with pictures of the bugs and injuries, via email, he challenged the nature of the injuries and called my employee’s truthfulness into question.
Finally, fed up, we decided that we would file the appropriate complaints with DoubleTree corporate, make the appropriate posts to social media, file reports with the health district, and hire counsel. Only after having done this has the manager now offered three free nights and a dinner (less than $ 400 value). They still have not offered him medical care for his legs and arms. As of today, he is still in a great deal of pain and is being forced to pay (uninsured) for the doctors visit.
AVOID THIS HOTEL AT ALL COSTS. They have had previous bed bugs reported according to another website and their management is very unprofessional. They have deleted my photos from their facebook three times (or they’ve mysteriously «disappeared») and the manager has openly argued with me on the review section of that same facebook.
If you want a horrible experience with infestation, privacy violations, and unapologetic and unprofessional management, this is the place for you.
I, for one, and gearing up to file the lawsuit.

This place is degrading slowly. I have been staying here on business over the past two years, but I won’t be staying here anymore.
Reception is SLOW! Nice, but it took 20 minutes to check three of us in with a reservation! Should give us the cookies first — while we wait!
They did not honor a request of our reservation — stay out of building C (or as we call it, C-​Block). These rooms are older and disgusting.
My room smelled like bug spray. EVERY DAY!
They neglected to clean my room on my final day.
People were smoking in non-​smoking rooms, and despite complaints to management, no action taken.
The bar is gorgeous, however the bartenders over-​served some belligerent drunks two nights in a row. Now, I am no saint, but when one guy fell off of his bar stool, couldn’t remember his room number, and kept giving management his first name when they tried to look him up… bad.
The area is surrounded by numerous other hotels I will try before going back here.
Meeting rooms were nice, and food service for our meetings was excellend.

The lobby is gorgeous! The breakfast buffet was good. The breakfast hostess was rude. The toilet in my room was running. The pool is gorgeous, my balcony facing the parking lot view was poor.

If you like breakfast you will love this place if you don’t like breakfast you will still love this place. The rooms are normal hotel rooms. The gym is small with about 4 treadmills a couple bike machines and some weights.

The cookies, the cookies, the warm cookies! Double Tree has them waiting for you anytime. Now that I got that out the way ^_​_​_​^
This location does a really good job with their landscaping. You feel like your away from the city because the greenery blocks it out. After the second day, I realized there was a CVS, Mall, and gas station within a block.
The only negatives were the distance from the beach and the 3-​Mile restriction placed on shuttle service. As a result, the airport and beach were not shuttled.

Good for a cheap hotel, we needed one on New Years after attending a party nearby. The staff was easy to deal with, and the room was inexpensive and functional. No complaints really aside from this being a $ 120 a night hotel… on New Years.
