Lunch today at GIOVANNIS today… We happened to be in the area and needed to «waste» an hour around lunch time before an appointment. We stumbled into this Italian restaurant in a a shopping area, it’s at the end of a building with parking in front. We both had VEALPARMESAN, served with a side of pasta(other sides available) it was excellent, thin, tasty and very well prepared… A GREAT find…

We live in Stuart and were looking for a good Italian restaurant as a midway meeting point for friends from Pompano. We decided on Palm Beach Gardens and chose Giovanni’s based on the good reviews. I called for reservations, but found out they don’t accept them. The guy told me Monday is a slow night, so we wouldn’t have a problem finding a table. We arrived at 6:30 to find a full restaurant and a waiting line. After being seated we discovered there were no mixed drinks or draft beer. Settling for other items, we ordered our meals. The bread basket was not a good omen. Little burnt nuggets of some kind of garlic«knot» and stale pieces of French bread. Then the salads came. Very small bowls of iceberg and bagged greens with a good dressing, OK but not great. The entrees arrived and everyone was well pleased. My veal saltimbocca was excellent, as was the angel hair side with a nice marinara. Based on this alone Giovanni’s should have scored 5 stars. Meals were delivered one or two at a time with a long wait for the pasta sides. My wife had to ask for hers, which had been forgotten. We asked for more bread and received more stale stuff. We had hardly finished our entrees when a bus boy came over and dropped a single bill in the middle of the table(we had asked for two separate checks at the outset). We protested that we wanted coffee and dessert. They brought the coffee(some were half full) and never asked us if we wanted refills, instead another single bill was delivered and bus boys attempted to take our cups(some unfinished). Another bus boy came and asked if he could take our water glasses. «No, we’re still drinking them». A few minutes later another bus boy came and took the water glasses, whether we wanted him to or not. We got the message, we were getting the bum’s rush. We had only been there a little over an hour and had dropped about $ 200, but they clearly wanted our table. The bottom line, we loved the food(however the portions are not as huge as many reviewers state), but the service kind of sucked and we weren’t allowed to spend much time with our friends we hadn’t seen in a long time. We won’t be back.

When we arrived, this place had a 45 minute wait. And after eating there, I understand why. I got the Giovani Sampler. It comes with two stuffed shells, two manicotti, and five mini ravioli. The sauce was delicious. And they are very generous with topping the entire dish with plenty of mozzarella before baking it further. The cheese filling in the pastas was very good as well. Great Italian cooking that tastes like homemade.

This gem is tucked away in the corner of a strip mall near a Home Depot. Not the most auspicious locations, but the food is terrific and so is the value. The décor is upscale pizza joint, but with really well prepared food. Parking is easy, but they do not take reservations. Often that leads to waiting. Don’t be dissuaded if you see a line, as many are there for takeout. Arriving before 6PM seems to work best, because its’s less crowded. If you like Italian fare, in a casual atmosphere Giovanni’s is a great place.

Really great find while vacationing in Palm Beach! Small mom and pop place with about 20 tables. Everything seemed homemade and tasted delicious. We started with a meatball side/app that came with two HUGE meatballs smothered in red sauce, which had a good savory flavor and wasn’t too thick. You automatically get a small basket of bread and butter. The tiny garlic knots were not only cute but very tasty. For our main entrees my husband got the Pasta Sampler which consisted of 2 manicotti, 2 ravioli(cheese stuffed) and 2 stuffed shells and also came with a side salad — nothing special, but the cold plated salads always taste better and get an extra star in my book. I got a 10″ Pizza Bianca that had fresh mozzarella, goat cheese, sliced tomatoes and pesto on it. The crust was crispy and delicate. The pie itself was so good! The staff were all friendly, courteous and helpful. Any dirty dish was whisked away from our table with ease and stealth and our water glasses remained filled. Food came out hot and quick. The portions are huge and watching what other people got proved that other entrees were just as large. The table next to us got main dishes that came with a side of pasta, which could have easily been an entire dinner on its own. Definitely give this place a try if you are in the area!

The food was OK. Nothing special. I had the Chicken Parm and the chicken was a little soggy. The Pasta Fagoli was brown… no veggies in it. Maybe that’s normal but I have NEVER had it like that… The service was TERRIBLE. SOSOSOSOSOSBAD. The waitress was nice but it took about 15 minutes to be acknowledged, another 15 minutes to get drinks, another 45 minutes to get our food, and another 15 minutes after we finished to be spoken to again. I don’t know how many of you have an hour and a half lunch breaks but I definitely don’t. Everyone around us was served and attended to promptly but for whatever reason we were severely neglected. When we FINALLY got our check, we waited for her to come pick it up… and nothing. Finally I flagged her down and asked her to please take our check and she said«you can pay up front» you would think you could tell me that when you dropped the check!!! Then we get up front to pay and the manager asked how was everything. I was polite and told him well, it took a REALLYREALLY long time. I can certainly understand being busy, as I was once a waitress working lunch shift, but everyone else around us came and left before we even got our food. He wasn’t even sorry. DEFINITELY never going back there.

23.00 Dollars for a fettuccine alfredo w/chicken and a water? Plus it was lacking on salt. The reason I’m giving it 2 stars, is because I believe they make fresh pasta and customer service wasn’t so bad. I’m never spending my money there ever again.

This small Italian restaurant is really quite good, with friendly service and huge portions. I’ve had many dishes there but the chicken, eggplant, and veal parmigiana are my favorites. Each meal comes with a huge side of spaghetti, soup or salad. I love their house Italian on the salad or the pasta e fagioli soup. The service can be a bit slow, but the staff in the summer tends to be younger. Also, there is an early bird menu and the crowd until at least 7:30 is a bit older and slower. If you’re thinking of heading there on a Saturday night — and you should — plan for 7:30, not 6. I’d also go hungry!

Delicious lunch! My husband wanted pasta, so we stopped here & were pleasantly surprised by the authenticity of his Eggplant Parmesan. He’s still saying«fabulous lunch!» My salad was fresh and crisp. Highly recommend if you want real Italian!

We have eaten at Giovanni’s a few times now and I will sum up all of them in one review Pizza…A++++ wonderful thin crispy crust and top notch toppings. Salads: also fantastic, including the garden salad which comes with tons of extras like artichoke hearts, red peppers, olives, and sundries tomatoes. Dressing looked to not be house made but like kraft italian, but was still ok. Tiramisu: tiramawesome!!! Seriously my favorite part of the meal. The only thing that I’ve gotten that I wouldn’t order again was the giovannis special sub/hoagie. The bread was kinda lame(a whole wheat looking sesame roll) and the prosciutto was dark and looked kinda old and dried out. Not the best quality.

Twelve of us ventured out form PGA National for a local Italian Restaurant to celebrate a birthday. This place is about 5 miles from PGA National Resort. But the restaurant is tucked in next to Home Depot. You can easily past this place unless you put on your radar screen! The ambiences are causal, comfortable and relax. The portions are generous and the service is friendly and fast. We got baskets of hot bread and garlic knots! The garlic knots were one of best I have recently! Several of us have the Summer Special 2 for 1 wine. We have Veal Marsala, Manicotti Parmigiana, Calamari Fra Diavolo, Raviola, Chicken Milanese and others. Originally I wanted Zuppa De Pesce but went with Veal Marsala instead. It was a great decision as the Marsala and mushrooms were perfectly cooked! The Tiramisu, Cannoli and Cheese Cake are tempting on next tables but we have our own birthday cake instead. You can go to Giovanna for a wonderful meal. The group is pleased and highly recommended for anyone!

Discovered this local restaurant through Instagram and it did not disappoint. Generous portions, wonderful wait staff and very reasonably priced. I wish they would move north to Ohio so I could be a regular!

Tucked into a corner next to Home Depot on Northlake is a nice little Italian place called Giovanni’s. The atmosphere is casual, the portions generous and the service fast and friendly. It’s one of those neighborhood places that doesn’t advertise and you don’t find out about unless you stumble across it going to the garden center or someone tells you about it. It is, in a literal sense, a hole in the wall. We realized we had walked past it many times without knowing it was there going to Home Depot. It blends in with the building and there’s another restaurant right next door. The other one is the place you tend to see. We started off with fried mozzarella sticks and we both ordered salads. I upgraded mine to a ceasar with anchovies and, like everything else, the side salads are huge and I’d rank them above average. I went with the dish I use to classify and rank Italian restaurants, spaghetti and meatballs. My wife had the lasagna. The food comes out in portions large enough that my wife got three meals out of hers and I got two out of mine. The meatballs were the size of a tennis ball and I rated them way above average. As much as I like Giovanni’s my spaghetti was just average. I’d rank their spaghetti sauce third behind Stresa and Carrabba’s. Apparently the go-to dish for most is the veal parmesan and I’ll try that on the next visit. For desserts we shared a cannoli and a slice of tiramisu. For the record, like everything else, one dessert is large enough for two people. Even though their spaghetti sauce doesn’t win any awards the fast, friendly service, generous portions and reasonable prices will insure that Giovanni’s is a regular stop for us.

Came here for lunch on my birthday and I couldn’t have asked for a better place to celebrate. I had a caprese salad, muscles marinara, and tarimisu. The muscles marinara was just the right amount for me, was presented beautifully, and tasted great. The tarimisu is the best I’ve ever had!
